Chapter 178: Chapter 178 Don’t Celebrate Too Soon

Lily Turner bypassed Evelyn Taylor, who was blocking her way, and strode out of the living room. She had just taken two steps when Evelyn’s words fiercely hit her from behind.

"Lily Turner! Are you afraid that Easton will take my side? I’m telling you! Sooner or later, Easton will see what kind of person you really are, and you’ll be kicked out of this house by him." Evelyn spewed out a bunch of words in one breath, all to provoke Lily and force her to play this seemingly childish game.

Hearing this, Lily instinctively paused, knowing full well that Evelyn was intentionally provoking and baiting her, yet she still turned around to look at Evelyn.

"My husband knows perfectly well who I am; you’re overthinking it if you think he’ll kick me out," she said. Her affairs were all over the internet, impossible to hide. She didn’t know how much he was aware of, but she was certain he wasn’t completely in the dark.

Whether or not he’d kick her out in the future, she was certain at least he wouldn’t do it anytime soon.

Yesterday, when she brought up divorce with him, his reaction was one of anger and agitation.

Would he kick her out? She thought not.

Before Evelyn could reply, Lily continued, "Trying to provoke me into playing your game doesn’t work on me, because I simply don’t fall for it."

With that, she turned and left once more, this time walking faster, giving no chance for the other to catch her.

"Lily Turner! Don’t be too happy, Easton will eventually kick you out of this house," Evelyn shouted in the direction Lily had left.

Expecting Lily to stop like before, Evelyn was disappointed; she waited for a while but didn’t hear any rebuttal from Lily.

That woman was truly infuriating!

Frustrated, Evelyn stomped her foot, took out her phone from her bag, and immediately called Easton Holmes’s mother, Amelia Linton.

She took a deep breath and pressed the phone to her ear.

"Hello! Evelyn!" After the phone rang twice, Easton’s mother answered.

"Hi, Mrs. Holmes! Do you know what I saw at Easton’s place today?" Evelyn began, feigning surprise.

Hearing this, the unknowing Amelia asked in confusion, "What did you see?"

"I saw a woman staying at Easton’s place, you..."

"A woman?! What kind of woman?"

Upon hearing that there was a woman staying with Easton, Amelia couldn’t help but interrupt Evelyn.

After so many years, it was the first time she’d heard of a woman in her son’s life, making her somewhat excited.

Her son wasn’t disinterested in women, it just took him a bit longer to open his heart.

Evelyn, unclear as to why Amelia was so excited, still told the truth, "A famous actress named Lily Turner."

"A famous actress?"

Amelia, nearing sixty, was long past the age of chasing stars and had no idea who Lily Turner was.

Evelyn nodded with an "hmm." "Mrs. Holmes! Hold on, I’ll send you a photo."

With that, she removed the phone from her ear.

She opened the internet, searched for a photo of Lily Turner walking the runway, specifically one from an open swimwear show.

She sent the chosen photo to Amelia on the other end of the call, and after sending it, a sinister smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.
