Rabbit Must Die -
Chapter 815 - 411: The Reason
Chapter 815: Chapter 411: The Reason
Chang’e thought for a moment and then said, "I can’t always just stay idle like this, can I? I have to do something."
Qin Shou snapped his fingers and replied, "Alright then, when those fairies arrive, they will all be under your management. How you arrange things will be up to you. As long as it does not diminish their dignity, strive to provide the best service possible."
Chang’e furrowed her brow and said, "Actually, I’ve met quite a few fairies who work for others, and their jobs are often very lowly, quite embarrassing. If we were to maintain their dignity, I’m afraid some might not be satisfied."
Qin Shou grinned and chuckled, "Whoever isn’t satisfied, just write down their names and send them to the Eastern Emperor Taiyi. Or to Zhu Rong, if necessary... Am I providing service just to have them pick and choose?"
Chang’e looked astonished and asked, "Can... can we really do that?"
Qin Shou confidently declared, "Of course we can! In fact, what we’re selling isn’t really the damned service... what we’re selling is the backing of the three great powers! Our service must be standard, appropriate, because many of the visitors have status either here or elsewhere. It wouldn’t be good to tarnish their reputation too much, and I’m not the kind of scumbag who takes advantage of women... So, our goal is to make everyone proud to come here, and what exactly we provide doesn’t matter at all.
It’s just like Lingxiao Hall, what’s in there, huh?
But once you’ve really been in there, and come back out, you can boast about it for a lifetime down below.
It’s not about how nice the place is, but about how prestigious it is! As long as we can coat people with a layer of gold, even if there’s nothing here, they’ll still be happy.
So, with our pricing here, we don’t seek to be the best, only the most expensive!
All those who attend to guests must be holy maidens or some kind of prodigies, and for these women, simply serving a dish or pouring wine for a customer will be enough to satisfy them.
After all, everyone coming here has a reputation, they aren’t a bunch of licentious demons and villains."
Hearing Qin Shou explain, Chang’e also came to grasp his intentions, but still she asked, "Do the others know about your plans?"
Qin Shou waved his hand and said, "They are just responsible for cooperating, how we run the business is our affair. However, they will bring some people over to live on the Moon later, to help us manage things that are hard to take care of. It’s just that I don’t know what sort of people will be coming..."
As soon as his voice fell, they heard Yu’er call out from outside, "Sister Chang’e, Brother Qin Shou, there are many Immortals arriving outside! We don’t know how to arrange them."
Qin Shou said with a smile, "Business has come, let’s go out and take a look."
Chang’e nodded her head and, holding onto Qin Shou, went outside.
Upon reaching the outside of Moon Palace, Qin Shou was stunned!
Indeed, many Immortals had come, but most of them had brought their families along!
There were flying palaces, beasts carrying mountains, beautiful noblewomen, and children frolicking...
Chang’e looked at Qin Shou questioningly, as if asking, "Are you sure they’re here for the bathhouse? Why do I feel like they’re here to move in?"
Qin Shou was feeling the same way...
Before Qin Shou could say anything, a loud voice called out, "Rabbit, these are the people from our Witch Clan who have come to help. How about that? Plenty of hands, right?"
Qin Shou looked up and saw Gonggong cheerfully descending from the sky.
Qin Shou forced a smile, pulled Gonggong to one side, and said through gritted teeth, "Big brother, are you kidding me? Is this helping? It seems more like causing trouble, right? You said you were going to send people over to help, what’s this? Planning on moving all your relatives in? We haven’t even made any money yet, and you’re already thinking of inserting your own people?"
Gonggong chuckled and replied, "Rabbit, you’re misunderstanding. Their subordinates will do the work for you. They are indeed the female relatives of our Witch Clan’s higher-ups... You also know a great war is impending, we certainly won’t be at home. If we’re not around and our subordinates don’t listen, what then? Their presence here can help you solve these problems. And for you, it’s just a few more people living on the Moon, you’re not losing out."
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou felt there was some sense in it, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.
Before he could finish, a group of people descended from the sky, led by Eastern Emperor Taiyi. The old rascal strutted in front, swinging leisurely to and fro, and began loudly calling out before he even arrived, "Rabbit, our people have arrived, where will we stay?!"
Qin Shou took a closer look and saw, lo and behold, another group of women and children! Among them, he spotted Longci, the little girl. When Longci saw Qin Shou looking over, she immediately hid within the crowd, looking down at her toes, pretending she couldn’t see him, and he couldn’t see her.
Qin Shou didn’t bother to stoop to her level, after all, it was he who had taken advantage of the situation.
However, the more he looked at these people, the more black lines appeared on Qin Shou’s forehead, until now, he was fairly certain there was indeed a problem!
Before Qin Shou could answer, a distant celestial music wafted over, and a group of people slowly flew in, with Phoenixes in place of horses pulling golden pavilions and lofty towers, in a display of grandeur that outshone both the Witch and Demon groups!
Leading the group was none other than Qin Shou’s master, Master Lu, followed by Taibai Star Monarch.
Seeing familiar faces, Qin Shou quickly waved them over.
Eastern Emperor Taiyi, seeing this, didn’t wait for Qin Shou to call him over, but came over on his own, chuckling as he asked, "Rabbit, got anything you want to say?"
Qin Shou gave him a sidelong glance and said, "I wasn’t calling you."
Eastern Emperor Taiyi responded with an "Oh," and turned to leave, saying, "No worries, I’ll just listen from over there. I can hear everything clearly no matter the distance."
Qin Shou’s face instantly darkened, cursing in his heart, "This shameless fucker, damn it, I just can’t beat him, otherwise I’d really like to slap him!"
Eventually, Eastern Emperor Taiyi still joined the conversation.
With Eastern Emperor Taiyi there, Gonggong, who was fuming and glaring, naturally got called over by Qin Shou as well, as some matters had to be clarified sooner or later.
After a few people had taken their seats, Qin Shou spoke bluntly, "Alright, cut the act. Tell me, what exactly are you all plotting?"
Eastern Emperor Taiyi looked at Gonggong, Gonggong looked back at Eastern Emperor Taiyi, only Lu Ban was sitting there with an easy smile, chuckling, "How about we all talk about it together?"
Neither Eastern Emperor Taiyi nor Gonggong said a word.
Qin Shou slammed his hand on the table and said, "Fine, then, our bathhouse is now out of business. Hmm... supposed it’s a failed venture even before its opening! You should take your people back as well."
Having said that, Qin Shou got up and left.
Eastern Emperor Taiyi kicked Gonggong, who angrily asked, "Why the hell did you kick me?"
Eastern Emperor Taiyi retorted, "You speak. If I speak, I might not say the right things."
Gonggong, feeling helpless, looked at Lu Ban and said, "You talk..."
Lu Ban, shaking his head, said, "No, I actually don’t know a thing. You two know, so you two should speak."
Left with no choice, Gonggong stood up and said, "Rabbit, the situation isn’t as complicated as you think."
PS: Sigh... the end is getting closer, and honestly, I feel so empty inside. It’s such a complex feeling, a sense of relief at finishing, but mostly it’s reluctance. I had planned to finish last month, but I kept dragging my feet because I’m reluctant to let go. However, writing up to this point today, I realized that the story is really coming to an end, and it’s such an upsetting feeling...
