The old man said, "This place is the Black Mirror."

Qin Shou looked confused; he had never heard this name before.

The old man continued, "Black Mirror, as the name implies, is a black mirror. All things in the world stem from Huntun, born from Yin and Yang. Thus, everything under heaven and earth is divided into Yin and Yang, into upper and lower, into left and right, into before and after, into darkness and light. Everything has an opposing side..."

Qin Shou nodded; he believed this point. He remembered the Tao Te Ching by Laozi also mentioned similar words, that everything in the world exists by opposition.

The old man said, "From different perspectives, one can see different opposing sides. For example, up and down, left and right, good people and bad people; some say the Heavenly Court represents justice, Hell represents evil; some say the living represent the Yang, the dead represent the Yin; and some say all living beings are righteous, with the only evil being the Heavenly Demons exiled to the depths of the starry sky. And all of this, is determined from the perspective of the observer. So, I ask you, what is the opposing side of the entire world?"

Qin Shou opened his mouth and said, "I’ve seen a world of the Demon Clan below the Earthly Immortal Realm, does that count?"

The old man shook his head and said, "I am referring to the opposite of everything, including them, including the entire starry sky, and all of the myriad realms."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou’s heart trembled. He had a bold idea, "Could it be the Black Mirror?!"

The old man suddenly grinned and nodded, saying, "Exactly, the Black Mirror is the opposing side of the entire world."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou was stunned, pointing at the sky and said, "This... is a world?! I mean, the kind that’s very, very big?"

The old man said, "It is called the Black Mirror because it is like a mirror, capable of reflecting all people and events of another world, then presenting them in reverse. Of course, that’s just one interpretation. In reality... I don’t think so."

After the two left the house, they turned around and saw that there was a sign hanging on the outside of the courtyard gate that read: "Southern Mansion."
