Chapter 586: Chapter 190 Rabbit is very tangled_1

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha said, "Want to go back? It’s not difficult. I have a scripture here, quite a decent one. Study it well, and ascension shouldn’t be hard."

After speaking, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha took out a scripture and handed it to Qin Shou, then cautioned, "Just keep it to yourself, don’t spread it around."

Upon seeing the scripture, Qin Shou’s eyes lit up, but the moment he heard that it couldn’t be shared, his hands shook, and he took a detour to pick up a cup of wine, drinking it and shaking his head, "It’s so lonely going back alone."

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha said, "Don’t go too far!"

Qin Shou replied, "Hmm, you have a point, I shouldn’t go too far. I’ve been eating your food, drinking your drinks, staying in your residence, using your belongings, and now I want your scripture, that would indeed be too much. I’ve made up my mind, I will ascend to Heaven relying on my own efforts!"

After saying that, Qin Shou clenched his fist and then continued to eat.

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha heard this and his forehead was covered in black lines. Rely on his own efforts to cultivate? These days, he hadn’t seen the rabbit cultivate at all! Every day it’s either eating, playing, or just causing trouble!

Speaking of causing trouble, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha remembered Diting, who after eating the meat given by the rabbit, had squatted in the toilet for a good two days and two nights! Now it would go weak at the sight of a leg of meat...

"Who do you want to show it to?" Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha thought it over, but still asked.

Qin Shou considered and said, "Rest assured, I never planned to show it to too many people. If I really wanted to show it, it would just be to a few people around me. Everyone will have a look, and it won’t be spread around."

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha said, "Didn’t you say you didn’t want the scripture?"

Qin Shou immediately replied, "You’re so sincere in giving it; I can’t just reject your kindness, can I?"

Having said that, Qin Shou grabbed the scripture and then directly stuffed it into the Black Demon Box.

Then Qin Shou muttered, "Now I’m just missing an Ascension Token."

"I happen to have a few," Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha said as he took out five Ascension Tokens and placed them on the table.

Qin Shou was taken aback, and then he hurriedly gathered them up.

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha stood up and said, "Well then, you should cultivate diligently and return home to reunite with your family as soon as possible. That too would be a meritorious deed. I shall take my leave first..."

After speaking, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha stood up, ready to leave.

Qin Shou didn’t stop him but just asked, "Bodhisattva, are you that eager for me to leave?"

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha replied, "If you don’t leave, Buddha Mountain will turn into a gambling den."

Qin Shou: "..."

Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha had more to say, which was, if Qin Shou didn’t leave, peaceful days on Buddha Mountain would likely be a thing of the past.

After sending off Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, Qin Shou wasn’t in a rush to leave. Instead, he took out "The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra" and started reading it leisurely.

In this scripture, the beginning is the text of the sutra, the middle contains Ksitigarbha’s enlightenment during his Ascension, as well as a cultivation method. Upon reading it, Qin Shou knew he had found a treasure! Because in the enlightenment written by Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, there was an incredibly detailed description of the Ascension Bridge.

The Ascension Bridge would automatically extend its length according to the karma of the person ascending.

The higher the virtue of the person, the shorter the bridge, and similarly, the shorter the time they would be struck by lightning, making it easier to cross.

If one’s karmic debt is heavy, the span of the bridge becomes incredibly long and, the longer one remains on the bridge, the more powerful the heavenly tribulations become! Even a Level Nine heavenly tribulation is considered minor; it wouldn’t be surprising for the divine thunder from the ninth heaven to appear... Theoretically, the lightning on this bridge could strike dead anyone attempting ascension.

However, the verses from "The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra" given to Qin Shou by Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha, as long as recited day and night, can weaken karma, and even achieve the effect of eliminating all karmic debt!

Once on the Ascension Bridge, reciting the sutra while employing "The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Sutra" can minimize the length of the Ascension Bridge, even to the point of taking a single step to cross over and complete ascension.

"What a treasure! Precious indeed!" Qin Shou couldn’t help but exclaim as he looked over it.

However, Qin Shou wasn’t in a hurry to begin cultivation; he wanted to first stabilize the foundation he already possessed, then proceed with cultivating this scripture. Moreover, with such a prized possession, he didn’t plan to keep it to himself. Besides, he wasn’t the only one wanting to return home; both Li Zhenying and Kui San wished to return to the Heavenly Court. He couldn’t just abandon them...

However, before long, Qin Shou encountered a problem.

"What? You’ve already become an immortal?" Qin Shou looked at Li Zhenying in astonishment.

Li Zhenying nodded and said, "Yes, I became a Human Immortal two hundred years ago, now residing in the realm of an Earthly Immortal. So, it’s impossible for me to return via the Ascension Bridge."

Lady Diyong said, "I’m also at the level of an Earthly Immortal... When I ascended years ago, I went to Spirit Mountain. Because I stole lamp oil, I almost got executed by the Buddha. It was my father and brother who protected me thoroughly and sent me to the Lower Realm. Now, if I wish to go to the Heavenly Court, I have to take the Three Immortals Road."

Qin Shou turned to Kui San and asked, "Don’t tell me you’re also an immortal?"

Kui San scratched the back of his head and chuckled, "My dad said we three brothers were born at the realm of Human Immortals, so we don’t need to ascend."

Hearing this, Qin Shou realized that in this group, everyone seemed to have been born on the finish line, into wealthy families with a silver spoon. Only he, laughing bitterly, was the poor man at the starting line... What’s more frustrating for Qin Shou was that just a moment ago, he, a pauper, had been flaunting a large pancake to a few wealthy heirs, saying, "Brothers, we can’t lose at the starting line, take a bite of the pancake, only with a full stomach can we have the strength to outrun others!"

Qin Shou just felt embarrassed, his face burning with discomfort...

Li Zhenying approached him and asked, "Bunny, what’s wrong?"

Qin Shou, clutching his chest, said, "Don’t talk, let me be alone."

...

Qin Shou wasn’t truly stricken, but now he had to consider another issue. If he ascended, what would Li Zhenying, Kui San, and the others do?

The Earthly Immortal Realm was now a mess, and they certainly couldn’t return. But if Kui San was here, where were Kui Da and Kui Er?

Qin Shou hadn’t yet learned whether those two fellows were alive or dead... Initially, the three brothers had gotten involved in that great battle to help him, and consequently, got tossed into the Earthly Immortal Realm. Now, with the whereabouts of his brothers unknown, if Qin Shou were to leave for the Immortal Realm, his conscience wouldn’t allow it.

And there was Baldy, whose whereabouts were unknown in the Netherworld.

And the Netherworld, where the teleportation array had been destroyed. Qin Shou didn’t care about the Netherworld itself, but he was quite concerned about Yishui, that girl.

On one hand, there was the future of a group of friends, and on the other, Chang’e, who was anxiously waiting for him to return home on the moon.

Qin Shou struggled internally, uncertain of what choice to make.

Leaving his residence, Qin Shou didn’t head to the Buddha hall but wandered aimlessly until he inadvertently found himself at the edge of Naihe Bridge!

On the bridge, Mengpo was still offering Mengpo’s Soup to the souls, but there were noticeably fewer ghosts than before. A glance now revealed the end of the bridge...

Qin Shou didn’t disturb Mengpo but simply stood by the River of Oblivion, quietly watching the rolling waters.
