Chapter 549: Chapter 156: Troublemaker Rabbit [Part Three] Fourth Update_1
Qin Shou retorted, "Otherwise, why would I give you wineglasses? Do you think I have nothing better to do?"
Another Asura asked, "Rabbit, this... this precious wine, you’re just giving it to us to drink?"
Qin Shou rolled his eyes and said, "The wine is good, but it couldn’t possibly be worth more than your lives, right? Let me tell you, after drinking my wine, fighting amongst yourselves is prohibited! Understand?"
Many Asuras looked at each other, eventually, one of them, puzzled, asked, "Why though?"
Qin Shou was speechless, why indeed? It’s for survival! These guys really don’t take their own lives seriously!
Qin Shou said, "No reason. In the outside world, there’s a saying ’to seal an alliance with wine.’ Those who have drunk the wine are brothers. Brothers should help each other, not kill each other. Either drink the wine and swear off fighting, or put down the cup and find somewhere else to continue your skirmishes!"
The group of Asuras was confused for a while until someone said, "Drinking wine comes with so many stipulations?"
"If we don’t fight, how can we climb the Seven Kill Tower?"
"There are thirteen of us here, and so many more out there. There’s no shortage of heads, but there’s only this one cup of wine. I don’t care, I’m drinking!" An Asura threw back his head and drank.
After finishing the drink, the Asura’s eyes started sparkling with excitement. He exclaimed, "Good... good wine! Haha... this wine tastes amazing! So refreshing! Haha..."
Then, that Asura suddenly froze, and immediately after, his aura began to surge wildly before rapidly retracting back into his body. He cried out in surprise, "I... have made a breakthrough!"
"A breakthrough?"
"Can drinking wine really lead to a breakthrough in one’s realm?"
"I’m drinking!"
"Me too!"
...
Then, the group of Asuras each downed their wine in one gulp, and after howling twice, they indeed made breakthroughs one after another!
Although it was only through minor realms, the highest among these Asuras was already a Heavenly Immortal. How hard is it for a Heavenly Immortal to advance even one step? Moreover, each step at that level represents a qualitative leap in strength!
To these people who lived on the edge of the blade, it was as if they had been given several more lives out of thin air!
Meanwhile, their chances of climbing the Seven Kill Tower increased significantly!
Coming back to their senses, they all kneeled before Qin Shou, thanking him: "Many thanks to Lord Rabbit for the divine wine, helping us break through our shackles!"
Qin Shou was completely dumbfounded!
He was very clear that the wine he had given away was from the Dragon Palace in the East Sea. Although the wine was excellent, it definitely could not help anyone make a breakthrough in their realm!
Otherwise, the East Sea Dragon Palace wouldn’t just be filled with shrimp soldiers and crabs, and it wouldn’t have been turned upside down by Qin Shou with his Eight Trigrams Furnace. Nor would the illustrious Dragon King be merely at the Earthly Immortal level...
So, the problem didn’t lie with the wine, then what could it be?
Just then, Qin Shou noticed that in the eyes of these Asuras, the inclination for slaughter had lessened, replaced by a hint of enlightenment. He suddenly had a moment of realization: it must be somewhat similar to the principle of ’laying down the butcher knife to become a Buddha on the spot.’
Seeing the Asuras still kneeling before him, Qin Shou waved his hand and said, "Alright, alright, stop kowtowing. Hurry up and go."
Upon hearing this, the Asuras quickly got up and took their leave.
After sending off the group of Asuras, Qin Shou finally found some peace. He sat cross-legged on the bed, pulled out the Qi Refining Cultivation Technique he had obtained from Mengpo, and the Black Tortoise Emperor’s "Black Tortoise Mantra", and quietly read them.
Just like the first time, as he read, Qin Shou felt the world in front of him begin to change. His soul started to be elevated higher and higher, and then... he smiled.
Looking at the great path chain close enough to touch, Qin Shou grinned and said, "Brother He, here I am again. You might not recognize me, but there should still be bite marks from me on your brother. Hehe."
After saying this, Qin Shou climbed onto the great path chain and began chomping away!
Crunch!
A rune was bitten off by Qin Shou, and in the next moment, many mysteries of the universe’s transformations filled Qin Shou’s mind, and he felt much more spirited.
"Indeed, eating the Dao is better than comprehending the Dao, keep eating!" Qin Shou went on to bite off several more runes, crunching away enthusiastically.
At this point, the great path chain started to become unstable, shaking gently as if an old ox was swatting at flies with its tail.
Qin Shou was prepared and clung tightly to the great path chain to keep it from shaking him off, as he continued to eat his way along, leaving behind a furrowed trench much like an ox plowing a field! The chain stopped shaking and instead started to sway, an attempt to shake off Lord Rabbit.
However, Lord Rabbit came prepared and was unfazed.
Meanwhile, in some part of the Earthly Immortal Realm, a child who was cultivating looked up at the sky and muttered, "Master, I see that rabbit-like rune again!"
In a cave dwelling somewhere in the Earthly Immortal Realm, an old man rubbed his eyes and said, "My heavens, there really is a three-dimensional rune shaped like a rabbit! My disciple hasn’t lied to me! Oh my, I need to find that cheeky lad quickly."
It wasn’t just there – many cultivators who were trying to comprehend Dao and returning to the Void saw this scene, and their jaws nearly dropped in amazement!
Especially...
"A rabbit... a rabbit!?" came an exclamation.
Qin Shou paused, looked down, and saw sitting not far below the great path chain, a person – a small boy dressed in white. The boy’s clothing was exquisite, and the patterns on it were mysterious, a clear indicator that he was no ordinary child.
Qin Shou leaned forward and asked, "Kid, are you talking about Lord Rabbit here?"
