Chapter 125: Chapter 125: I, the Schoolmate You Cannot Afford to Bully!【Part 3】_1
Almost simultaneously, a sarcastic voice rang out from the crowd, "Who said they wanted to go complain to Wenqu? Come, come, come, step forward and let I, the great rabbit, get to know you!"
Upon hearing this voice, the three Jiang Brothers looked astonished. It was a voice they didn’t recognize, which probably belonged to someone from Wenqu Palace. Disciples of Wenqu Palace were all literate in poetry and literature, typically prone to disputing reason with a somewhat softer demeanor, yet this didn’t seem soft at all. Puzzled, they turned towards the voice and were shocked to see, instead of a person, a rabbit had arrived!
Second Brother Jiang burst into laughter the moment he saw it, whispering to Big Brother Jiang and Third Brother Jiang, "Big bro, San, I know this rabbit. It once bought buns from me, and I passed off One-Star Two-winged Mandarin Duck meat as Three-Star Ringtail Bird meat, but it couldn’t tell the difference. Clearly, it hasn’t seen much of the world, nothing significant to note."
Big Brother Jiang and Third Brother Jiang, reassured by this, looked at the rabbit with cold eyes and muttered, "That rabbit’s quite plump, eh? It would make for some tasty buns."
Then, the three of them snickered with ill intent...
Their voices weren’t quiet, and everyone around could hear clearly that the three were looking to stir up trouble.
Initially, Li Zhenying was thrilled to hear the rabbit’s voice, happy that someone from her side had come to speak up for her, moved...
But as soon as she saw the rabbit, she couldn’t help but feel a little disappointed, for the rabbit didn’t seem to possess any magic, and if a real confrontation occurred, it might not be formidable enough... She even worried a bit that the rabbit might end up beaten.
Thus, the kind-hearted Li Zhenying mustered her courage for the first time and stood in front of Qin Shou, saying, "Don’t talk about Bunny like that..."
When Qin Shou heard this, why did it feel so awkward? He came here to make trouble... cough, cough, to help the lady stand up for herself! How had he become the one being protected? Plus, the nickname didn’t fit at all! He was the great rabbit, not Bunny! The name Bunny was too reminiscent of something stewed in a pot...
So Qin Shou cleared his throat and said, "Zhenying, from now on, call me the great rabbit, not Bunny."
"Okay, Bunny. Bunny, you better run, they’re bad guys," said Li Zhenying.
Qin Shou was in tears, realizing that this woman’s thought patterns were fixed in place. Chang’e never called him by his name, always Yu’er.
It seemed that all the girl would ever call him now was Bunny...
Qin Shou didn’t want to squabble over this. After all, he couldn’t win against them.
Hearing the word "bad guys," Qin Shou laughed and said, "Bad guys? Speaking of bad guys in front of I, the great rabbit? Damn it, where are these bad guys? Stealing my thunder? I can’t stand for this!"
No sooner had he spoken than three small mountains appeared before him, their shadow instantly engulfing the rabbit. The three men, with their sneering eyes, had their mouths open, looking like demons ready to devour the rabbit at any moment, also affirming their status as bad guys with the standard bad guy expression.
Second Brother Jiang chuckled and said, "Oh dear, I’ve heard of heroes saving beauties, but never a rabbit walking into the mouth of danger. What’s this? This little girl ate our buns without paying, and you plan to pay off the debt with your flesh? Let me tell you, rabbit meat is cheap. Your whole body might barely make up for the cost of one bun. Are you going to lie down on the cutting board yourself, or should we brothers take matters into our own hands?"
Upon hearing this, Li Zhenying immediately grew anxious and prepared to step forward.
But she discovered that someone was even more anxious than her!
Suddenly, the rabbit’s big ears shot upright, and with its head tilted back, it shouted, "What did you just say? Say it again for the great rabbit to hear!"
"Ha ha... The rabbit’s getting worked up. What, you wanna bite someone now?" Big Brother Jiang laughed heartily.
Qin Shou grinned, showing off his pearly whites, and chuckled, "If I, Rabbit Lord, were to bite someone, I’m afraid you would cry."
Big Brother Jiang laughed, "Oh dear, I’m so scared, ha ha..."
Meanwhile, high above in the sky, on a white cloud, two Star Monarchs with squinty eyes were sitting cross-legged, facing each other with intense gazes.
After staring for quite some time, Wenchang Star Monarch snorted, "Wenqu, is this the rabbit that the Jade Emperor asked you to take care of? So many days have passed, and it looks to me like you haven’t taught him anything..."
Wenqu snorted coldly, "While he’s with me, he can still learn something. If he were with you, I’m afraid he wouldn’t learn anything at all."
Wenchang Star Monarch burst into laughter and said, "What? Just because you’re incompetent, you think I’m the same? As the saying goes, a strict teacher produces outstanding students. Your gentle approach is outdated. I firmly believe there is no student that can’t be taught with a paddle! Just look at how many students have entered Wenchang Palace over the years? How many have achieved success? Now, look at your Wenqu Palace. I bet in a few years, there won’t be many left. Romantic pursuits are merely trivialities. Wenchang Martial Arts, fame, and wealth are what people truly strive for."
Wenqu shook his head and said, "You take these things too seriously. In my eyes, having the world at your fingertips is not as good as a cup of wine in hand; wealth to rival nations is not as joyful as contentment in one’s heart. Your disciples may each be on an auspicious path to officialdom, but mine are free from internal constraints, not led astray by me. Each one of them lives a carefree and authentic life. We pursue different things; talking about this is pointless. However, I must remind you to keep an eye on your disciples, or if they get into trouble and are bullied, don’t come to me with a bristled beard and bulging eyes looking for sympathy."
Wenchang Star Monarch curled his lip and said, "Just because of this rabbit? Even though he was assigned by the Jade Emperor, Shushan has its own rules, and the Jade Emperor won’t interfere too much. You should worry about your own rabbit instead. If he really gets stewed in a pot later, well... I bet he’ll taste pretty good."
Wenqu gave a faint smile and replied, "Then just watch..."
The Jiang Brothers laughed heartily. Li Zhenying was also anxious and, clutching Qin Shou’s ear worriedly, said, "Bunny, how about I give them money and we leave?"
"Did you hear that? Rabbit, even your own people have admitted you’re wrong. Are you still showing off? Believe it or not, we can truly stew you?" laughed Big Brother Jiang.
Qin Shou narrowed his eyes and said, "Rabbit Lord is very angry; the consequences will be severe."
Second Brother Jiang chuckled strangely and said, "Oh, I’m so scared... The rabbit is angry, ha ha... Just how serious can a rabbit’s anger be? Are you going to smash this place to smithereens? Or... you’re not really going to bite me, are you?" With that, Second Brother Jiang couldn’t hold back his laughter any longer and burst into hearty laughter.
"As you wish." Qin Shou smiled faintly, then suddenly grabbed a large stone that was taller than a person. To the astonishment of everyone around, he lifted it!
And then...
Bang!
Second Brother Jiang hadn’t finished laughing when he was smashed into the ground by the huge stone, leaving only his head sticking out, looking dumbfounded at the rabbit in front of him. His brain probably couldn’t comprehend how such a small creature could possess so much strength.
What frustrated him even more was that the rabbit acted without warning. That was just too damn violent!
This was against the custom of the Wenqu Palace where the weak scholars wouldn’t resort to violence over trivial matters and would prefer to bicker for a ShiChen!
Since when had the disciples of Wenqu Palace become so fierce?
Big Brother Jiang was furious, "Rabbit, you dare to use violence?"
