Primordial World: Big shots are all my friends

Chapter 166: Chapter 156, Hao Tian’s Decision (Added for Ten Thousand Rewards)

Emperor Haotian nodded repeatedly, vaguely expressing his anticipation, "That makes sense. How shall we let the beings of the Primordial World know about my philosophy? Should we continue with the Primordial Broadcast?!"

"Master Uncle, forgive my bluntness, but this approach isn’t very effective. To convince the beings of the Primordial World, it’s not about what you say, but what you do."

Emperor Haotian said helplessly, "Currently, there is a severe shortage of personnel in the Heavenly Court. Even if I want to act, there are simply not enough hands! The operation of the Heavenly Court cannot be managed by just one or two Immortal Gods."

"Master Uncle, though I reside in the East Sea, I’ve always been concerned about the Heavenly Court and have been paying attention to your actions. I am aware of your difficulties, and I came here because I discovered an excellent opportunity that can help you."

"An excellent opportunity?"

"Yes! An opportunity that doesn’t require many people but can achieve great success, an opportunity that can bring fame to both you and the Heavenly Court across the Primordial World."

Emperor Haotian’s eyes lit up, and he immediately asked, "What opportunity? Speak quickly, my disciple."

"Master Uncle, have you paid attention to the Primordial Land?" Bai Jin asked.

"Repairing palaces every day is exhausting; how could I find time to pay attention to the Primordial Land?" Emperor Haotian murmured inwardly, then solemnly replied, "No, there are no Divine beings in the Heavenly Court, and I need to personally intervene; there’s no time to pay attention to the Primordial Land."

Bai Jin said with emotion, "Master Uncle, you are truly diligent and hardworking. The Taoist Ancestor would surely be comforted by this."

"Ahem~ Well, it’s nothing, just part of my duties. Disciple, are you implying that something has happened in the Primordial Land?"

Bai Jin spoke seriously, "To report to Master Uncle, when Pangu created the world, the beings born were Innate Demon Gods, being born as Daluo Golden Immortals. The beings that were born later were equally extraordinary, born divine. As time passed, the beings born in Primordial World grew weaker—Profound Immortals, True Immortals, Heavenly Immortals, and some even have merely a trace of Spiritual Energy, falling below the Immortal Level.

After the battle between witches and demons, the Heaven Pillar collapsed, and the beings born thereafter mostly lost their spirituality, falling into mundanity."

Emperor Haotian explained, "This is an inevitable evolution of Heaven and Earth. It’s beneficial for all beings in the Primordial World to become ordinary; otherwise, if there are too many Immortal Gods, the Primordial World will eventually be exhausted, and the Infinite Calamity will descend, returning Heaven and Earth to Chaos."

"Master Uncle, don’t you think this night is too long? How can ordinary beings endure such prolonged nights?"

Emperor Haotian was startled; Bai Jin’s words struck him like a thunderbolt. Looking out at the evening twilight, he waved his hand and a Divine Mirror appeared before him. In the Divine Mirror, scenes of ordinary beings in the Primordial World struggling to survive in the night unfolded solemnly, "Bai Jin, you are right; the night is indeed too long, no longer suitable for the current state of the Primordial World, becoming the greatest calamity for the survival and reproduction of the Ten Thousand Races of the Primordial World."

Bai Jin clasped his hands and said, "I implore Your Majesty to take action to change Yin and Yang, giving the Ten Thousand Races of the Primordial World a chance to survive."

Emperor Haotian hesitated, saying, "Bai Jin, this matter is not so simple."

"Master Uncle, it boils down to a problem with Heaven and Earth. You control the operation of Heaven and Earth; if no correction is made, I fear the Taoist Ancestor might blame you for neglect of duty."

"Let me think it over."

"I know what you are worried about, Master Uncle, and I can assure you that all the Saints will not interfere," Bai Jin said earnestly. "Master Uncle, this is a rare opportunity! If handled well, the Heavenly Court will instantly become famous across the Primordial World. Will we then still fear attracting no Immortal Gods? My Master once said, opportunities only come once, and if missed, are gone forever. He also said, life offers few chances for us to make our mark. If not now, then when?"

Fire sparkled in Emperor Haotian’s eyes, and he gritted his teeth, "Alright, then I will take the gamble! If the Saints do not interfere, then it should be manageable."

Bai Jin immediately said, "Master Uncle, rest assured! This is your first major action since ascending to power. Any obstruction to you is a slight not only to your face but also to the Taoist Ancestor’s face, and surely, the Saints will not obstruct." Inwardly, he added, "And also to Senior Sister Nuwa’s face."

Emperor Haotian, filled with spirited vigor, declared, "Disciple nephew, just as you have said, if handled properly, this indeed presents an opportunity for our Heavenly Court to make a name in the Primordial World and also an opportunity to rise. I am much obliged to you, dear uncle."

Bai Jin chuckled and responded, "Congratulations to you, uncle!"

Emperor Haotian shook his head and said, "Hold off on the congratulations for now. If mishandled, altering the Primordial day and night could cause great chaos, and I would not be able to bear the punishment that the Taoist Ancestor might mete out."

Bai Jin asked curiously, "Why change the day and night?"

"You said yourself that the day and night are too long, did you not? Of course, they must be changed."

Bai Jin tentatively asked, "Can we possibly isolate Heaven and Earth?"

Emperor Haotian was taken aback, then suddenly clapped his hands and laughed heartily, "Brilliant! By isolating Heaven and Earth and establishing another sun, moon, and stars beneath, wouldn’t we be able to control the timing of day and night as we wish? This would not only perfect the Primordial Heaven and Earth but also avoid the risk of disrupting the Primordial Origin. Bai Jin, you are truly clever, I am indebted to you."

Bai Jin quickly responded modestly, "Uncle, I’m actually quite dull. It took me a very long time to come up with this idea. If you had a little time, I am sure you would have thought of it easily."

Unable to help himself, Emperor Haotian nodded; it wasn’t difficult to think of, and given a little time, he was confident he could have thought of it. Then, frowning, he added, "Now there is another problem. If we isolate Heaven and Earth, where would the Great Sun in the Lower Realm come from? The moon is easy to solve; the Deity of the Moon can simply condense and project an incarnation. But the Great Sun is far more crucial."

"It is said that after Di Jun died, his corporeal body was left behind, which could serve as the Great Sun."

Emperor Haotian expressed his distress, "Di Jun’s corporeal body was taken away by Senior Sister Nuwa."

Standing up, he said, "Nevertheless! For the sake of the beings of the Primordial World, I will make a trip to Wa Emperor Heaven and beseech Senior Sister Nuwa."

"Or perhaps, let me try?" Bai Jin stood up and proposed.

Emperor Haotian replied, "I appreciate your sentiment, nephew, but this matter is not as simple as you think. I’ll personally make the journey to Wa Emperor Heaven."

"I’ll just give it a try; if it doesn’t work, then we can trouble you, uncle." Bai Jin turned and walked outside, arriving in the courtyard.

Following him out, Emperor Haotian shook his head with a chuckle, "Disciple nephew, Wa Niangniang is the premier Saint among those from the lineage of the Taoist Ancestor after Heaven and Earth, with formidable strength and a proud nature, and she is greatly favored by the Taoist Ancestor. You might not even be able to enter Wa Emperor Heaven."

In the courtyard, Bai Jin bowed deeply at ninety degrees and solemnly said, "Wa Niangniang above, your disciple requests that you bestow Di Jun’s corporeal body."

Emperor Haotian shook his head and said, "That’s futile. A Saint’s status is noble; such prayers could hardly..."

Suddenly, a thunderous burst of white light flashed across the sky of the Heavenly Court, and a huge Three-legged Golden Crow danced through the air, illuminating the Heavenly Court as scorching heat spread.

The voice of Emperor Jade Haotian abruptly stopped, staring in disbelief at the soaring Great Sun Golden Crow above and murmured, "Really... really bestowed?"

A sense of absurdity rose in his heart. When had Senior Sister Nuwa become so easy to talk to? Was this a case of granting whatever was requested?!

In the Turquoise Pool, the four figures of Queen Mother of Yaochi, Demoness Chang’e, Xuan Nu suddenly stood up, looking up in shock at the dancing Three-legged Golden Crow above.

Yaoji furrowed her brows and said, "I do not like this bird."

Queen Mother of Yaochi spoke gravely, "This is the Three-legged Golden Crow. What is Haotian doing? To even summon the Three-legged Golden Crow."

In the courtyard of the palace, Bai Jin gratefully said, "Thank you, Niangniang!" and straightened up.

Emperor Haotian looked at the Three-legged Golden Crow in the sky and then at Bai Jin, unable to resist asking, "Do you have a connection with Wa Niangniang?"

"Nuwa is kind, magnanimous, gentle, and very loving towards her juniors," Bai Jin earnestly replied.

Emperor Haotian looked at Bai Jin, a flicker of doubt crossing his mind. Had he misunderstood Senior Sister Nuwa? Perhaps she was indeed easy to talk to?
