[Current Spiritual Energy Level: 85] [Nascent Soul Stage]

Today alone, Lin Zhengran unexpectedly leveled up four times. And aside from the usual stat increases, this new effect was incredibly valuable.

It meant that everyone under Zhengshi Company—so long as he trained them—would feed his growth with their own.

Sure, leveling up at high stages was difficult, but with this broad-based return mechanism, his cultivation would only get faster over time.

That afternoon, Lin Zhengran and Jiang Jingshi finished signing off on all the backlogged company documents.

Han Wenwen had pretty much mastered her secretarial training—especially the covert parts—so the group headed back to the villa together.

There was just one thing that needed attention: the engagement ring.

As they were leaving the office, Lin Zhengran told Han Wenwen not to wear the ring for the next couple of days—just keep it tucked away.

The little fox instantly looked confused. “Why?! I don’t want to!”

She pouted and clutched her precious ring. “That’s the ring Zhengran-gege used to propose to me! I wouldn’t take it off even if you killed me!”

Lin Zhengran explained, “Mainly because I haven’t proposed to Qingqing or Lili yet. If you go home wearing that ring, won’t they find out I already proposed to you? It’ll ruin the surprise.”

Han Wenwen blinked her fox eyes. She couldn’t really argue with that logic...

She slowly let go of the ring. “Makes sense... but wait, what do you mean by them—what about Sister Jiang?”

“I already proposed to Jingshi.”

“You did?! When?!”

“Just recently. You’re so sharp—didn’t you notice she started wearing a new ring lately?”

Han Wenwen blinked. “Now that you mention it, I did see her with a new ring. I even asked her about it... but she’s always worn rings, so I didn’t think anything of it. That was your proposal ring?!”

Now that she thought back, she did notice the subtle smile Sister Jiang gave when she asked about it. So that was why!

“Even smart little Wenwen has her blind spots, huh.”

Han Wenwen puffed up her cheeks and shot him a jealous look. “How could I have known?! Who would’ve thought Zhengran-gege would propose this early? I got tricked by Sister Jiang’s habits. And also...”

She sounded even more jealous. “Why didn’t you propose to me first? Why wasn’t I the first?”

Lin Zhengran hugged her, rubbing her head gently.

“Because Jingshi lost her old ring, and while I was helping her get a new one, I figured—why not just make rings for all of you? And once I made them, of course I had to propose. So now you see why Jingshi came first?”

Han Wenwen let out a playful growl and bit his neck, mumbling:

“Yeah yeah, I get it... but I’m still jealous. And now you want me to take off the ring too. Hmph! Unless you agree to one small request, I’m not taking it off!”

Lin Zhengran raised a brow. “What do you want now?”

Han Wenwen wrapped her arms around his waist and smiled sweetly. “It’s nothing big. Just that the next time it’s my draw, I want Zhengran to stay in bed with me for at least seven hours straight, from morning till night. No interruptions. No other work.”

Lin Zhengran looked at her speechlessly.

Afraid he might say no, Han Wenwen quickly leaned in, nuzzling his cheek and pleading, “Please~ Zhengran-gege~ I’m only agreeing to take off the ring because you asked. Otherwise, I’d never do it. I’m already making a huge sacrifice here!”

“But if we do that, we’ll have to cancel everything else for the day.”

“Exactly! All I want is Zhengran-gege to... well, ‘handle’ me.”

She didn’t even finish the sentence before Lin Zhengran knocked her on the head. The little fox pouted.

He scolded gently, “You’re getting more and more straightforward with your words lately.”

Han Wenwen lowered her head like she’d been caught being naughty. Her finger traced lazy circles on the spot she’d just bitten. “I’m not embarrassed in front of Zhengran-gege… I am your woman, after all.”

“Addicted, are you?”

Han Wenwen looked up at him, equal parts timid and bold, eyes locked on the man she adored.

“Totally addicted! Ever since we set the rules, Zhengran-gege gets four days a week. But I only get one! One! Even if you throw in a few sneaky moments like today, it’s barely anything. Seven or eight times a week just isn’t enough! I want you. I just want to be close to you.”

She placed her hand on his lips. “Say yes~ come on, say yes~”

Lin Zhengran sighed. He was no match for this little fox’s directness. With a laugh, he nodded, “Alright. Next week when it’s your turn, we’ll get a hotel room. I’ll stay in bed with you all day, no distractions. Just us.”

Han Wenwen blushed and bit her lip in delight. “Promise!”

“Promise.”

She gave him a loud kiss on the cheek, and finally—reluctantly—took off the ring from her left ring finger and carefully tucked it into her pocket.

She’d wear it again after all the proposals were done.

Saturday night passed without incident. After dinner, Lin Zhengran, Jiang Jingshi, and Han Wenwen lounged on the couch, chatted, watched some TV, and then went to bed together.

And just like that, it was Sunday.

Today marked Han Wenwen’s official streaming debut—and also the final 30-day countdown for Jiang Xueli’s music competition registration.

Thirty days from now, Lin Zhengran would accompany Jiang Xueli to another city to participate in the country’s biggest music talent contest.

As for Han Wenwen, her streaming tournament would happen in about a month and a half—practically back-to-back with Jiang Xueli’s event.

He Qing had already decided to wait till next year to compete, knowing that Lin Zhengran was busy this year.

At 8:30 AM, Han Wenwen sat in her private study, facing the computer as she opened her streaming software.

Everyone else gathered nearby to watch.

She selected her fox-themed virtual avatar—a humanoid vixen she’d designed herself.

Though it was just a model, the facial features and expressions were anime-stylized based on Han Wenwen’s own face, making the resemblance incredibly high.

There was a second computer in the room. Lin Zhengran sat at it, joining her for a duo stream.

Wearing headphones, Han Wenwen glanced at the chat and asked, “Zhengran-gege, should I start? The fans are already waiting.”

“Yeah, go ahead.”

She clicked to start the stream. Her fox avatar appeared onscreen, and the cheerful little vixen waved and greeted the audience:

“Hi everyone! I’m Wenwen! I used to just post videos, but today’s my very first live stream. Thank you all so much—and big love to all my fans who came to support my debut!”
