Chapter 861: Chapter 71: Yin Family Affairs [Requesting Monthly Pass!]

Crouched under the black umbrella were precisely Uncle Yin of the Sun Moon Tower and his four sworn sons, whom they had previously met in Python Belly City.

After escaping from Python Belly City, Uncle Yin still preserved the Sun Moon Tower, using it to grow a small Immortal Sect. Later, when Chu Liang attended the Immortal Sect Conference, he had met Uncle Yin; he did not expect to be reunited under such circumstances here.

Since they were old acquaintances, Chu Liang still greeted Immortal Qi Jing, "Senior, these individuals are acquaintances of mine, please rescue them as well."

Immortal Qi Jing glanced back, said nothing more, and simply expanded the scope of the Absolute Yang Banner by a bit to encompass the members of the Yin Family as well. Chu Liang directly threw out the Demon Binding Rope, tying up the five people in a line and carrying them on his back as they moved forward together.

The strong light of the Supreme Yang was truly like the solar, growing stronger as they drew closer; by the end, even Immortal Qi Jing felt an immense pressure. Fortunately, with just one step to go, he shouted and quickened his pace, thrusting the Absolute Yang Banner forcefully forward!

Bang—

It was as if there was a barrier in front, which he finally burst through, and the obstruction ahead disappeared at last.

The group followed closely behind, passing through in a consecutive sequence.

Before them stood the towering main gate of the Heavenly Palace, soaring over a hundred feet high, pure white and godly, free from any speck of dust. These palace walls must also be Magical Treasures that had been forged and consecrated, possessing considerable power, constantly emitting that strong light outward, likely some kind of defensive measure for the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace.

It was only directly in front of the gate that they moved out of the range of the light’s illumination. Chu Liang and his group didn’t immediately enter but instead woke up the people from the Sun Moon Tower gathered there.

They must have felt that the gate of the Heavenly Palace was nearly within reach and that enduring a little longer would get them there, but they had miscalculated their cultivation levels. By the time their True Qi was exhausted and they wanted to return, it was already too late, and they collapsed midway, one by one losing consciousness. If not for encountering Chu Liang, today they would have surely died here together as a family.

To wake them was not a difficult task; simply by transferring some True Qi to them and waiting for their natural recovery was sufficient.

"Warrior Chu..." The eldest brother, Yin Guang, was the first to open his eyes. His Cultivation was now the highest in the Sun Moon Tower, younger and stronger than Uncle Yin, he woke up before Uncle Yin, "Did you save us?"

"Yin Big Brother," Chu Liang inquired, "Why have you come to this place?"

The Shenxu Forbidden Land, although known to all cultivators in the world, is usually not approached by anyone below the Seventh Realm. Low-level cultivators entering Shenxu could have their lives taken by a gust of wind or a grain of sand.

"Alas..." Yin Guang shook his head helplessly, "Our adoptive father insisted on bringing us here to search for the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace, and none of us could dissuade him."

After a brief explanation, Chu Liang understood why Uncle Yin had taken marked notice of the Dustless Sword the first time he saw it. Uncle Yin also knew that a sword carrying the Yunzhong Daoist Rite could be the key to entering the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace, and he knew even more than Chu Liang.

The location of the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace was a secret passed down in his family. Uncle Yin had always wanted to explore it, but his cultivation had never been sufficient. Recently, feeling his life span was coming to an end, he insisted on bringing his sworn sons for this expedition.

Later, Uncle Yin, Yin Kuo, Yin Tian, and Fourth Brother Yin all woke up one after another, and it was then that Chu Liang and the others learned the full story.

Uncle Yin looked at everyone and sighed, "I have been obsessed with this matter for half my life, and today I realize how terribly wrong I was. If not for Warrior Chu’s encounter, it would be no great loss if an old man like me died, but I would have dragged down my sons with me."

"Adoptive father, we have no regrets in following you," Yin Kuo said loudly.

Uncle Yin shook his head and looked towards Chu Liang and the others, "You may not yet know why I have come here; allow me to explain. All of this, is because..."

...

As it turns out, the Yin Family ancestors were quite prominent; tracing back, they were descendants of the very first Daoist Master Jue Yun, who was also the first Ancient Sword Cultivator to enter and exit the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace.

That Daoist Master Jue Yun, known at the time as the "Demon Slaying Sword" for his hatred of evil and slaying of demons and monsters.

"So you are the descendants of the Demon Slaying Sword..." Immortal Qi Jing was somewhat surprised.

Because the ancient Sword Cultivator’s mausoleum that he and Daoist Yan, along with Empress Feng, had entered was none other than the Demon Slaying Sword’s burial place. It had become an ownerless Secret Realm, not at all resembling a place with living descendants.

"Alas!" Uncle Yin sighed again and said, "That was indeed the ancestral heritage of the Yin Family."

Back in his days, the Demon Slaying Sword had not yet reached the Eighth Realm. It was only after entering the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace that he comprehended the Daoist Rite of Master Jue Yun and then escaped from it. He drew a map of the route to the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace and left it to his son.

He had three sons, each inheriting a character from his name, respectively named Yin Dang, Yin Mo, and Yin Jian. He had hoped they would inherit his integrity and skills, but unfortunately, things did not go as planned.

After the fall of the Demon Slaying Sword, the three sons quarreled over the inheritance, especially over the precious map. Yin Dang and Yin Mo started fighting in front of their father’s memorial, tearing the map of the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace into two pieces.

Yin Jian had no interest in the dispute and, feeling disheartened towards his two brothers, he left to live incognito.

Later, without their father’s protection, Yin Dang and Yin Mo were powerless to safeguard all that he had left behind. Yin Dang was killed, and the half-map he held was taken. In contrast, Yin Mo, severely injured and on the verge of death, found his reclusive younger brother and left the other half of the map with him.

The man before them, Uncle Yin, was a descendant of that very line of Yin Jian.

Initially, they weren’t very concerned about the map left by the Demon Slaying Sword. Even if the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace contained some precious treasure, it wasn’t something they could claim, especially if even an Eighth Realm cultivator was unable to take it away.

However, by the time it reached Uncle Yin’s father’s generation, his father turned out to be an ambitious man. He gathered a force and entered the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace, never to return. From that point on, the young Yin planted a seed in his heart.

Late, Young Hero Yin dedicated himself to cultivation, traveling far and wide to enhance his strength and enter the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace in search of his father.

But misfortune always has a way of finding those with a hard fate. When he was overseas searching for Heavenly Material and Earthly Treasure, he was swallowed by the Swallowing Python and ended up in Python Belly City, where he lingered for a hundred years. Deprived of resources in Python Belly City, his cultivation stagnated, and he wasted his time becoming the elderly Uncle Yin.

The lifespan of a Sixth Realm cultivator was drawing to a close. Although he knew it was no longer possible to find his father, he still wished to attempt entering the Heavenly Palace one last time before death, and his sons firmly decided to accompany him.

After finishing his tale, Uncle Yin looked towards Immortal Qi Jing and said, "This senior’s divine skills are vast, and there’s no doubt entering the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace is in pursuit of that legendary Divine Artifact. The remaining half of the map I have should be helpful. Would you be willing to make a trade with this old man?"

"What do you want?" Immortal Qi Jing asked.

"Senior has granted us life-saving grace, but with our strength, we are already unable to leave from here. I hope senior can help me get my four sons out of Shenxu, and I will accompany you inside the Heavenly Palace. If you indeed find the Divine Artifact, I hope that apart from the Artifact, the rest of the spoils can belong to the Sun Moon Tower; if the Artifact isn’t found, then all the spoils can go to you. Would you accept these terms?" Uncle Yin asked.

"Reasonable and fair." Upon hearing this, Immortal Qi Jing nodded in agreement.

However, Uncle Yin’s adopted sons were a bit anxious. Yin Tian said, "Adoptive father, let me go with you, at least there will be someone to watch your back."

"You’ve already almost died here once; how can I allow you to face danger again?" Uncle Yin scolded. "Besides, with Warrior Chu and the others here, what’s the need for your cultivation to look after anything?"

Yin Tian was at a loss for words.

Back when Chu Liang’s cultivation was lower than theirs, none of the brothers were a match for Chu Liang. Now, Chu Liang’s cultivation had far surpassed them, opening a qualitative gap.

This was the difference between a scion of the Immortal Sect and someone with minor talent. A genius cultivates with a higher quality even at the same realm. They might be at a lower stage for a brief period, but their future is beyond the reach of ordinary cultivators.

This is why a Sect values the geniuses of the Fourth and Fifth Stages so highly, even though cultivators at these stages are easy to find.

"But..." whispered Fourth Brother Yin, "Adoptive father, if you go with them alone and they find the Divine Artifact but are unwilling to hand over the rest, wouldn’t you be in danger then?"

"Ahem." Facing this concern, Chu Liang cleared his throat and stood up, "You must have some understanding of me by now. Apart from the Divine Artifact, the other treasures in the Sword Domain Heavenly Palace are not worth compromising our conscience and reputation over."

The Yin Family Four Brothers looked at Chu Liang, paused, and then nodded in unison, "That’s true..." "Warrior Chu wouldn’t covet these small gains..." "He can be trusted in this matter."

With a simple statement from Chu Liang, the cooperation was settled without the need for any proof.

"See?" Immortal Qi Jing whispered to the Sword Emperor of the Western Sea, shrugging his shoulders, "When you have money, you’re a good person wherever you go."
