[END SKILLS]
Ah. It’s a regular skill.
My first regular skill in a while.
Still water related though, just like my other regular skill.
That aside, this skill is actually a pretty good skill to add to my arsenal of skills. Since it’s the first one that’ll boost my speed and maneuverability.
Overall, I’m satisfied with it. Even if it’s not a Bloodline skill.
So now that I’ve seen the skill, I go ahead and allocate my free points before moving on to destroying the cavern.
Without hesitation, I pull out the underwater explosives given to me by the Guild. Then I move around the icy cavern placing the sticky bombs all over it before finally swimming out of said cavern and pressing the detonator.
Blowing up the cavern underwater and making the ice rain down, sealing the cavern with rubble.
But that’s not all as I pull out another set of bombs they gave me before sticking them onto the rubble covering the cavern’s entrance. And without any hesitation, I move back a distance and activate the bombs.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
Making a freezing blast explode all over the rubble, turning it all into solid ice and sealing up the last bits of the entrance so that it doesn’t even look like there used to be a cavern there.
There we go. Everything is dealt with.
And with that, I go ahead and go back to the city. Swimming rather freely and without many injuries this time unlike last time.
I can’t help but smile a bit at that as I swim.
It’s nice to be going back without broken bones.
The chat is mentioning that too.
Actually, I kind of forgot about the chat during that entire battle. Which they weren’t particularly happy about.
But meh.
I continue swimming until I arrive at the Hunter’s City. At which point I go straight to the Guild building, where I turn in the quest telling the receptionist that it’s completed.
And she immediately runs off to tell the Guildmaster, who comes running down a few minutes later to practically shout, “You’ve already dealt with it?! In one day?! How?!”
I blink at them and tilt my head as I answer, “By swimming there and killing it?”
She stares at me.
I stare back.
Silence fills the lobby, which is already largely empty thanks to the monster migration.
“Can you bring it to the warehouse?” the Guildmaster eventually asks, breaking the silence.
I blink at that before asking back, “How large is the warehouse again?”
She stares at me again and I stare back. Then we both walk over to the warehouse to ask the person in charge of it. Since apparently the Guildmaster doesn’t know the measurements as they’ve never needed to worry about space in it before.
And, of course, the warehouse director shoots me a narrow-eyed stare as she answers, “The warehouse is two hundred meters long.”
I glance at the Guildmaster as I answer, “The zeal is about two hundred and eight meters long.”
The Guildmaster and warehouse director both stare speechlessly at me for several seconds.
Eventually I break the silence when I suggest, “I could try bringing it out curled up. That should work.”
They both wordlessly nod before the warehouse director orders all harvesters to back away to the sides of the room while putting away everything they’re currently harvesting. Then the Guildmaster tells me to bring the corpse out.
So I do just that, making the entire building shake when the two hundred and eight meter long monster appears and lands on the ground on the warehouse floor. With the thing curled up with its head close to its tail, forming a bit of a ring.
Then I see a couple of the harvesters actually faint at the sight of it.
Hmm. I guess the thing is a little big, and rather purple in color thanks to the massive amount of bruising caused by the tentacles, and missing eyes, but it’s not that intimidating, right?
Yeah. It was actually kind of cute when it was alive.
Ignoring its mouth and pincers.
Very much ignoring those.
But it doesn’t have those anymore after I cut them off.
Oh, right. Speaking of those, I toss them on the floor, making them clatter and snap the harvesters, Guildmaster, and warehouse director out of their trance.
This time they can’t get upset with me for filling the warehouse since they’re the ones that made the request.
So I go ahead and get my payment for both the job and the materials before leaving the warehouse. Literally stepping over a couple of fainted harvesters while doing so.
Couldn’t they faint somewhere more convenient?
It’s kind of rude to block the doorway.
[LMAO]
[doesn’t give a fuck]
[That’s Aqua for you lmaoooo.]
[Just steps over the fainted people without a hint of shame.]
As I’m walking out of the Guild building to go back to my inn, I whisper to the chat, “They shouldn’t have fainted in the doorway then.”
Which only makes them laugh even harder.
I purse my lips in minor frustration at their blaming me for that but otherwise ignore them. Then I continue heading towards the inn.
That should be all for the day.
Time to just lie down and relax for a while.
Then sleep.
Somewhere halfway between the two Hunter’s Cities
A cloaked figure swims in the water while looking at the tail end of the massive migration slowly heading towards the Hunter’s City of the Fortal ocean. Where the massive shark taking up the rear of the migration is slowly swimming along. Then he turns to look in the direction of the Hunter’s City located at the Cryaxis ocean.
Silence fills the ocean despite the numerous monsters, and the cloaked figure doesn’t say a word or make a sound.
But after several minutes of watching both directions, the cloaked figure finally makes a move.
They summon forth several shark monsters before attaching their skill to an object obtained from one of the Anomalies and filling the object with their mana. Then they push the item to head quickly in the direction of the Hunter’s City of Cryaxis while moving back far away and ordering the sharks to attack the level 90 shark at the back of the migration.
And just like that, they sit back and watch as their summoned sharks attack the enormous, one-hundred-meter-long shark. Making the thing turn around to attack them back as the migration turns chaotic. Only for the summoned sharks to turn around and flee without hesitation.
The cloaked figure watches the enormous shark chase after and quickly devour their summoned sharks, following which two more summoned sharks appear from the object, catching the enormous shark’s attention. It quickly chases after them, devours them, and finds two more sharks appearing.
Quickly changing the migration’s route and hastening their progress by a significant degree as the enormous shark chases the object and the sharks it repeatedly summons. With its monster migration following behind it.
Then, with a single nod of their head, the cloaked figure leaves into the depths of the ocean.
While the enormous shark makes its way straight to the Hunter’s City in the Cryaxis ocean.
