Pioneer of the Abyss: A Deepsea Livestreamed -
Book 1: Chapter 89
Aqua
The chat immediately goes wild at my words and the sudden recovery of all my wounds.
[IS SHE IMMORTAL OR SOMETHING?!]
[HOLY SHIT SHE RECOVERED IN AN INSTANT!]
[She’s entered scary Aqua mode again…]
I ignore them as the shark continues moving towards me with reddish-blue blood leaking rapidly out of its wounds. And while it’s moving, my eyes glance at the harpoon still stuck in its side. Not to mention largely crushed by its repeated attempts to knock me off before.
When the maw shark begins to get close, I activate Abyssal Reversal again, followed by my new skill, Converging Maelstrom which immediately makes a bunch of whirlpool-like vortexes appear all over the water around us. Meanwhile I instantly feel that it’s far easier and faster for me to move around in the water.
Then I activate Call of the Abyss, summoning four orcas that I have rush straight at the shark that’s currently struggling with moving. No doubt due to the vortexes, but also seemingly a little because of the reversal. Since the shark is moving backwards and looking in the wrong direction while alternating back and forth as if confused.
Huh. I guess its injury and lack of mana are affecting its resistances.
That’s interesting.I rush forwards while summoning my trident before charging straight at the monster’s side as it’s all turned around and as my speed and maneuverability is increased. Then I pierce the trident into the large hole in its side. Only for it to not do very much. So I send it back to my storage ring and grab the remains of the harpoon.
But the harpoon is in such poor condition it’s completely unusable.
With that realization, I put it into my storage as well before shapeshifting my jaws again and deciding to go at this the old fashioned way again. Seeing as it’s the only real weapon I can actually use against the shark and expect to work.
Except for my hands, that is.
My hands are only usable directly against the monster against its organs. Since even the flesh when I try to tear it apart with my hands is too tough to actually do anything to it.
Leaving just my jaws.
So I continue to tear the shark apart while shapeshifting to grow the tentacles that join in, tearing the flesh as well. And the deeper I get into the shark, the easier it is to stay inside.
Until a sudden blast of purple liquid explodes out of its body, sending me flying backwards out of it. But without much damage.
I guess the limited poison it could muster up with its remaining mana to push me out isn’t enough to really hurt me beyond scorching my armor and burning through it around my back.
My gaze quickly turns towards the shark’s head as it finally turns to face me, seemingly having finally gotten used to the vortexes around here. Likely having snapped out of Abyssal Reversal’s effect too.
Then the two of us stare at each other as it opens its mouth and closes it really quickly. Making a clicking sound in the process.
And without a moment of hesitation, both of us begin moving towards each other. The shark moves awkwardly as it’s still dealing with a large chunk of its body just being gone while pouring out blood, and I try to move in an unpredictable manner to avoid staying directly in front of it.
But right when I’m about to reenter the hole in its side, the shark suddenly shoots out another jet of poison from the side of its head, forcing it to turn straight towards me as it opens its jaws wide. Showing me the inside of its large maw.
My eyes widen for a moment, only to narrow when I summon several tentacles inside of its mouth and use them to move me out of its mouth right before it chomps down.
Then I move right up to its deadeye and pull my hand back.
And without hesitation, I slam my fist into its eye. Making the shark let out that loud high pitched ringing sound again.
I don’t leave it at that though as I grab that deformed harpoon from my storage ring before stabbing it deeper into the shark’s eye. With the harpoon itself still being sharp, just with the back half of it crushed towards the middle of it.
The shark begins to shake its head back and forth over and over again while opening and shutting its mouth repeatedly. And while it’s doing that, it ends up moving its mouth right over me.
Then it snaps its mouth shut.
Chomping both of my legs off in the process.
I cry out loudly in pain before pushing myself backwards with tentacles. And I make sure to activate Devourer of the Abyss again on top of that. Instantly killing hundreds more monsters that were nearly killed in the time since my last use of the skill.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Making my legs grow back about to my knees. Only for me to swim away from the shark closer to the monsters in the ocean before using the skill again when I’m close enough.
Finally making my legs fully regrow again.
And despite the broadcast having censorship, I’m really glad the monster only got my legs from my upper thighs and below. Because there are always people who try to clip censored moments on broadcasts and alter the images to try to make it uncensored.
On top of that, I’m not the only one on this battlefield.
So I immediately repair my armor using some mana before turning back around to look at the shark again.
Where I surprisingly find it still alive.
But only barely.
I slowly swim towards the shark that is still convulsing a bit and stop several meters in front of it. Just floating in the water while sending a hateful glare its way.
The shark gradually slows down to a stop, only twitching a couple times here and there as its eyes stare hatefully at me despite its dead gaze.
“Here,” I mutter while floating over to the shark’s eye. “I’ll give you a hand.”
Then I rip out the harpoon currently jammed into one of its eyes, making it jerk a few more times. Only for me to move over to its other eye and stab the damaged harpoon straight into it as well.
“I’ll help you close your eyes too,” I tell it, my voice filling the water around me rather coldly.
And just five seconds later, I get the System Messages I’m waiting for.

That’s a lot of levels.
I feel a faint smirk spreading across my face as I put one hand on my waist and open my status and the new trait, ignoring the chat that’s practically exploding with messages right now.
[Scales of the Abyssal Kraken – The Abyssal Kraken’s scales reigns supreme, granting the Abyssal Kraken a 25% immunity to all magic and a 10% immunity to all physical damage. The scales take on the form of whatever outer layer the user wishes.]
Holy shit.
That’s… good.
I quickly open my skills list to check the new skill as well.

All dead beings have different chances of success when extracting, varying based on their level and power compared to the user. Furthermore, after successful extractions, the Abyssal Copy’s blueprint of the being is placed in an infinite storage to be used to create the Abyssal Copy of the being whenever the user wishes so long as they are within water. This Abyssal Copy will copy the physical strength and all physical traits of the original being without any of the being’s magical skills, traits, or sapience.]
[Cost: Abyssal Ruler costs 30 mana to use. However, it is activated for every dead being within a range around the user that can be expanded through using more mana. Additionally, summoning Abyssal Copies costs 5 mana per copy. And once the mana making up their bodies is expended, the summoned copy will dissipate until the user spends 5 more mana to summon another.]
[Cooldown: Abyssal Ruler has no cooldown. However, it cannot be used more than five times on a single dead being, and only one copy can be summoned at a time from each blueprint.]
[END SKILLS]
Oh. Wow.
That…
My smirk stretches wider.
That looks interesting.
I turn my attention to the massive shark corpse in front of me.
Very interesting indeed.
