Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Trying Out the Martial King
Long Yunyun snickered, "This Mu Can really plays dirty."
Han Lao Da was stunned by Mu Can’s words, but quickly regained his composure.
"Kid, are you looking for death?" Han Lao Da asked fiercely.
"Hehe, my good son, do you believe daddy can make your hair grow?" Mu Can looked at Han Lao Da and chuckled.
"You can make my hair grow? Wait, you damn well took advantage of me!" Han Lao Da thought about it before realizing, and cursed fiercely.
Han Lao Da led the charge, straight for Mu Can, drawing his knife for a slash—a long knife whistling down towards Mu Can’s head.
"Don’t!" Seeing this slash, the mountain bandits from Yunyun Village all closed their eyes in fright.
Only Long Yunyun remained calm, smilingly watching Han Lao Da.
How could a man who could kill a Martial King Level Demon Beast be injured by a mere martial master?
Mu Can ignored the knife coming down at him, slightly tilted his head, and the knife chopped down hard on his shoulder with a clang.
Han Lao Da had a bad feeling; this youngster was wearing armor that could withstand a martial master’s full-strength blow.
Just as he thought to withdraw, he found a strong suction from the blade, preventing him from pulling back.
"Feels good to chop, doesn’t it?" Mu Can asked with a crooked smile and a laugh.
Han Lao Da decisively abandoned his knife and retreated quickly without any hesitation.
"Dammit, what’s this kid’s background?" Han Lao Da drew back and observed Mu Can coldly.
Han Lao Da had become the most powerful bandit leader of the Yunlong Mountain through hardships known to no one else.
Mu Can casually took off the long knife hanging on his shoulder, playing with it in his hand.
"Feeling cocky, are you?" Mu Can asked with a playful smile, tossing the knife onto the ground.
Han Lao Da looked at Mu Can with a grave expression, intuition telling him that this youth was not as ordinary as he seemed.
"Attack," Han Lao Da motioned lightly, and the bandits surrounding Mu Can and the others immediately launched their attack.
Amidst the shocked expressions of Long Yunyun and the others, Mu Can demonstrated a textbook example of close combat fighting.
Shoulders, knees, fists, feet—every part of Mu Can’s body turned into a lethal weapon.
Mu Can, like a humanoid Demon Beast, flipped all the mountain bandits daring to attack him.
"This..." Long Yunyun’s eyes widened in shock; she never imagined she would see such an incredible scene one day.
A Cultivator with merely a Samurai’s strength was overturning martial masters and Great Martial Masters who surrounded him.
Anyone who came in contact got hurt; anyone grazed received damage. Within moments, except for Han Lao Da, there wasn’t a single bandit left standing intact.
The ground was filled with cries of pain; the attacked mountain bandits felt as if they had been struck by a massive hammer.
A bandit felt a heavy kick on his lower back, even hearing the sound of his spine breaking in his ears.
"Who... who exactly are you?" Han Lao Da’s legs began trembling uncontrollably.
"Does it matter who I am?" Mu Can looked at Han Lao Da and spoke indifferently.
"You’ve killed my men; now you can keep them company in death." Han Lao Da had brought the main force of his mountain village, and now they all lay here, incapable of fighting.
Slowly reaching into his bosom, Han Lao Da pulled out a small porcelain bottle—an Elixir.
"It’s you who forced my hand." Han Lao Da looked at the small porcelain bottle in his hand with a pained expression, poured a black Elixir into his palm, and gently tossed it into his mouth.
A surge of momentum rose, and with the effect of the Elixir, Han Lao Da successfully advanced to the Martial King Realm, the mid-stage of Martial King.
"Do you also have this?" Mu Can was no stranger to such an Elixir; it was the same kind that Xuanyuan Mingkong had given him back then, though the effects seemed to be worlds apart.
"It’s you who forced my hand." Han Lao Da glared at Mu Can with a resentful face and said bitterly.
He had spent nearly half of his fortune to exchange for this Elixir from a down-and-out Pill Master, treating it as a second life. Now, forced to consume it by Mu Can, Han Lao Da felt as if his heart was bleeding.
"Mu Can, get out of here." Seeing Han Lao Da’s transformation, Long Yunyun shouted at Mu Can.
With the strength of a Martial King, one can truly be called a mighty warrior.
"Don’t be afraid, he’s just a chicken and a dog. Perfect for testing the results of my cultivation." Mu Can didn’t take Han Lao Da seriously at all, even though he was at the Martial King level.
With a clang, the specially made Profound Iron Armor fell off Mu Can’s body and hit the ground, raising clouds of dust.
"Holy shit." Long Yunyun found Mu Can to be surprising once again.
To be so combat-effective while wearing such heavy Armor.
"Who are you, exactly?" Long Yunyun looked at Mu Can with a complex expression.
Despite his young age, he possessed unfathomable strength. Mu Can was like a bottomless pit, impossible to fathom his true might.
With a slight movement, Mu Can felt like a completely different person after taking off the Profound Iron Armor; his body became lighter. A light kick, whistling through the air, made a sound of breaking the void, and his speed increased by a third.
"Little baldy, consider yourself lucky." Mu Can grinned and said to Han Lao Da.
Then Han Lao Da understood what true despair was.
Mu Can moved like a breeze incarnate, the power of his Breeze Realm movement technique doubling.
Han Lao Da didn’t even catch a glimpse of Mu Can’s figure before being utterly bewildered by a series of attacks.
"Ahh." Han Lao Da let out a howl as his momentum waned.
The next moment, that howl was met with a ferocious punch,
The Martial King Realm Han Lao Da, facing Mu Can who ditched the Profound Iron Armor, had no ability to fight back at all.
"Old Wang, Old Wang, am I dreaming?" Dogzi looked at Mu Can, who was furiously attacking Han Lao Da, agape in shock.
Old Wang firmly pinched Dogzi.
"It’s not a dream, this is too freakish." Dogzi felt the pain and muttered to himself.
This showed just how astonishing the strength Mu Can displayed today was.
"Feels great." After Han Lao Da fell heavily to the ground and utterly lost his fighting power, Mu Can stretched languorously.
Everyone witnessed a shocking scene unfold before them.
Mu Can, with only Samurai strength, stood proudly amongst a group of Great Martial Masters lying on the ground howling in pain, his foot beside an unconscious Martial King warrior.
"Do I have flowers on my face? First, tie them up." Mu Can said to the stunned villagers, giving orders indifferently.
