Chapter 160: Chapter 162: Biting Pearls

Watching the Reincarnation Pearl spin, a rare solemn expression appeared on High Lord’s face as the mysterious bead in front of him exerted great pressure on him.

"Seems like this is the treasure your master left for you, let me see just what your master is all about?" Although solemn, the Reincarnation Pearl stirred up High Lord’s competitive spirit.

He had been galloping across the Supreme Realm for tens of thousands of years, where it was usually others who came to him begging to be taken as disciples. But this time, when he took an interest in a talent, he was rejected.

He wanted to see just how powerful Mu Can’s master was.

The Reincarnation Pearl hovered in the air, actively choosing unlike usual, as if it sensed High Lord’s challenge and felt provoked.

"I thought it was some treasure; it’s just a broken bead." High Lord mocked, though he felt that the bead in front of him was definitely not simple, he was not afraid in the slightest. This was the basic confidence of a Great Power.

"Don’t be too arrogant." A faint psychic fluctuation emitted from the bead, responding to High Lord’s challenging words.

Mu Can watched, dumbfounded, as the Reincarnation Pearl seemed enraged. Since obtaining it, he had never seen the bead act this way; no matter how he tried to communicate, the bead ignored him.

It seemed that his strength was too weak, not worthy in the eyes of the Reincarnation Pearl.

"Hehe, if your Creator were here, I might actually be scared; you think I’d fear a Spiritual Artifact?" High Lord scoffed contemptuously.

"Ah!"

A shout of surprise came as the Reincarnation Pearl suddenly attacked, a mouth appearing on it, which viciously bit High Lord’s buttocks.

A Great Power capable of creating realms was actually bitten on the buttocks by a bead, an unbelievably ridiculous situation.

High Lord struggled desperately, trying to pull the Reincarnation Pearl off his buttocks, but found that no matter how he attacked, it had no effect at all, the bead’s resistance being incredibly strong.

With High Lord’s strength, a strike from him could easily flatten enormous mountains, but here, he couldn’t even shake the Reincarnation Pearl.

"Owww." High Lord groaned from the bite.

"This damn bead, how can it bite people’s buttocks."

As one of the giants in the Supreme Interface, High Lord was at a loss against a mere bead.

"Just biting you." The Reincarnation Pearl clung on firmly without letting go, tearing fiercely.

Mu Can and Purple Cloud watched the scene in front of them, dumbfounded. They thought they were witnessing a duel of masters, but it turned out to be as disorderly as a children’s fight.

"Stop fighting, both of you." Mu Can tried to mediate. He still relied on High Lord for resurrection, and he didn’t want to see either High Lord get hurt or his Reincarnation Pearl damaged.

"How can this bead be so shameless, ouch, stop biting me."

High Lord bellowed, having not felt pain in a long while. Now, all High Lord could feel was the pain in his buttocks, which not only stunned his nerves but also humiliated him.

Such a prominent figure being bitten in the buttocks, and it even hurt!

"Let go, are you a dog?" In desperation, High Lord not only relied on his physical strength but also used his Divine Skills.

A brilliant light formed in the hand of the High Heavenly Honour, and a palm-sized small cauldron appeared.

The small cauldron, made of bronze, looked very ancient, exuding an aura solidified from the accumulation of epochs. Illustrated on the body of the cauldron were various strange creatures, mostly Divine Beasts from legends, with many people worshiping below. The cauldron was engraved with characters unreadable to Mu Can, unknown what was recorded.

The small cauldron slowly hovered above the Reincarnation Pearl, a massive suction force emanated from it, radiance spilling out in all directions. Mu Can actually saw hidden figures within the small cauldron, just like the Divine Beasts carved on its body, faintly visible within.

A ray of light shot out from the cauldron, illuminating the Reincarnation Pearl.

"Look there," Purple Cloud pointed at the intersection of the light and the Reincarnation Pearl.

Space faintly appeared, displaying slender fractures.

It was unknown what exactly was happening there, but those spatial fractures made even Purple Cloud feel a series of palpitations.

"All Divine Lights are useless against me, I’ll bite you to death." The Reincarnation Pearl resisted fiercely, biting tightly onto the High Heavenly Honour.

The High Heavenly Honour, seemingly irritated by the Reincarnation Pearl, afforded Mu Can the fortune to witness the methods of a Great Power.

Bursts of dazzling light, waves of Divine Fire, Profound Ice, and even saws transformed from the small cauldron, none had any effect on the Reincarnation Pearl.

If those attacks had hit Mu Can, he would have died ten thousand times without excess.

"Stop, how can you let go?" High Heavenly Honour had no choice but to negotiate, as he was being bitten relentlessly.

The Reincarnation Pearl’s tenacity was terrifying; nothing made it let go from High Heavenly Honour.

"My disciple, where exactly did this pearl come from anyway? It’s like a snapping turtle, once it bites it doesn’t let go." High Heavenly Honour was utterly helpless, although the Reincarnation Pearl had its own mind, there was absolutely no way to communicate.

He himself was considered a Duke within the Supreme Interface, and having a pearl hanging off one’s bottom was ridiculous.

"Just let him go, he won’t harm me," Mu Can tried to communicate with the Reincarnation Pearl, but his heart was also uneasy; the pearl never paid him any heed before, not knowing if it would listen to him this time.

Unexpectedly to Mu Can, upon hearing his words, the Reincarnation Pearl crisply released its bite and slowly flew back to Mu Can’s side.

"Ptui, the flesh is rotten."

The Reincarnation Pearl even fiercely spat several times, taunting the High Heavenly Honour.

High Heavenly Honour’s face turned pale; this bizarre pearl was too troublesome.

"Senior, I really cannot become your disciple." Mu Can scratched his head awkwardly, saying though such opportunities are rare, Mu Can already had an official master, thus he could only decline.

Such a Great Power Level master could only be pledged to one house, which Mu Can knew well; his cheap master had already given him the precious Reincarnation Pearl, so he couldn’t change allegiance.

"It’s just my bad luck, this troublesome pearl is too difficult."

High Heavenly Honour was frustrated; he took to heart to recruit a disciple, but was obstructed by a shabby pearl, making High Heavenly Honour even more infuriated as he, a dignified Duke of the Supreme Interface, indeed had no way to handle this rotten pearl.

Remembering a person associated with such eccentric Magic Treasures, High Heavenly Honour suddenly changed his expression.

"Who exactly is your master?" High Heavenly Honour hurriedly asked.
