Chapter 433: 400 Get the certificate (1 more)

Tang Su placed the keys inside the drawer of the shoe cabinet behind the door, so she didn’t even need to take off the shoes she had just put on; she simply pulled open the drawer and got the keys.

Wei Yingzi knew her memory wasn’t the best, so when Tang Feng mentioned leaving a spare key at his sister’s place, Wei Yingzi happily agreed.

However, none of them expected that Wei Yingzi would lock herself out on the very first day she moved in.

"Thank you so much, Miss Tang," Wei Yingzi said as they went downstairs together, thanking Tang Su once again.

"Don’t mention it."

After Tang Su opened the door for Wei Yingzi, Wei Yingzi handed her a bag of candies, "Miss Tang, please have some. I’ve troubled you too much; you must accept it. Otherwise, I won’t feel right about it."

"Miss Wei, you’re too polite. Alright, I’ll take them. If you need anything in the future and I’m at home, feel free to come up directly."

"Uh-huh, okay, I’ll try not to bother you."

"Alright, then I’ll be going first."

"Okay, bye, Miss Tang."

"Bye."

Tang Su went upstairs where Lu Han was waiting for her at the elevator entrance. Lu Han took the candies Wei Yingzi had given and tied them to the doorknob, then entered the elevator with Tang Su, their fingers interlaced.

"Miss Wei is a photographer for a magazine; she has been to lots of places and seems quite wealthy, yet she has no desire to buy a house. My brother got lucky to have found such an easy-going tenant on his first try."

Tang Su quite liked Wei Yingzi.

But Lu Han read between the lines in her speech, "What, from what you’re saying, you want to matchmake her with your brother?"

Tang Su: ???

She hadn’t thought that far ahead, but indeed, she wasn’t averse to the idea.

However, Wei Yingzi was too young, even two years younger than her.

And Wei Yingzi’s personality was like an unmanageable wild horse; as for her brother, she personally felt, he was more suited for a homely woman.

Stability leads to longevity.

"That’s not it; she’s too young," Tang Su said.

"Quite young indeed. Still, compared to the age difference between my parents, theirs doesn’t really matter," he replied.

"That’s true, but they may not be suitable for each other."

As they chatted, the elevator brought them down to the basement level one, where Tang Su saw the red luxury BMW parked in her former garage space.

"Your mother-in-law said you should drive it for now and you can exchange it for another if you end up not liking it later," Lu Han relayed Bai Wei’s words exactly as she had said.

"It’s already very nice; there’s no need to change it. I only run a small bookstore and manage a coffee shop whose business is just passable. Driving such a fancy car will make me worry about attracting the scrutiny of regulators, wondering where my money comes from," Tang Su earnestly expressed her concerns.

She was genuinely worried that driving too nice a car would draw attention from criminals.

Her skills in hand-to-hand combat might suffice against the average petty thief, but against someone truly violent, she wouldn’t stand a chance.

Just like her mother said, what one wears or flaunts is one’s own business, but the troubles invited by flaunting wealth are one’s own to bear.

The law only punishes the evildoers, but the pain inflicted by them cannot be shouldered by anyone else.

"If you really get targeted, just tell them outright that the money is from your in-laws and husband," Lu Han adjusted her seat and fastened her seatbelt for her, "Don’t go too far, and come back early to rest."

"Mhmm."

A top-end car is indeed nice; it starts without a sound and the whole drive is extremely comfortable in every aspect.

"We’ll drive this car when we go to register our marriage," Lu Han said as they returned downstairs.

"Oh," Tang Su obediently replied.

**

A day passed by in a flash.

Finally, it was Wednesday.

As soon as Tang Su woke up, her phone would not stop buzzing with messages from Sun Qing, who sent nothing but dirty jokes, except for the somewhat serious blessings at the beginning.

The most outrageous part was that Sun Qing eventually told her to have a bloody battle with Lu Han.

She admitted that she had had many a spring dream about Lu Han before, but was she really that desperate?

Bai Wei and Lu Maoyan had nothing to do, so they got up early and went to the Civil Affairs Bureau to take a number and line up on behalf of the young couple, allowing Tang Su and Lu Han to sleep in and look their best for the photos.

Bai Wei had experience with this sort of thing.

Tang Su could not sleep in too late either, waking up earlier than she did when she tended the store.

Last night, her father had brought over two boxes of handmade wontons, and she and Lu Han had agreed to cook wontons at home in the morning.

When Tang Su went out, Lu Han was in the kitchen steaming egg custard and had also washed some baby bok choy to add to the wontons later.

"Morning, why didn’t you sleep in a bit?" As Lu Han saw Tang Su, he walked towards her with long strides, drew her into his arms, and nuzzled his lips against her neck.

"So did you, you got up early too," said Tang Su, feeling ticklish and unable to escape.

"Of course I had to get up early. I was afraid my wife might run off. These days, it’s not easy to find a wife, let alone one who’s such a perfect match."

"..."

Doctor Lu really had a sweet mouth.

The words that Lu Han said were actually a mirror of her innermost thoughts.

Although she didn’t have to queue up in the morning and could have gotten up at her usual time since the Civil Affairs Bureau wouldn’t open until nine anyway.

Getting there too early was pointless.

Tang Su had been dreaming all night and hadn’t slept very well. By dawn, she was even worried subconsciously that this all might just be a pipe dream.

However, this dream with Lu Han was one she wished could last an exceptionally long time.

When she woke up and came out of the bedroom, seeing Lu Han’s figure in the kitchen made her more certain than ever that from today on, her life would be tied to Lu Han’s forever.

She was overjoyed, every cell in her body seemed to be cheering.

"I’ll go boil the water; you prepare the ingredients," said Lu Han as he let go of her and went to the kitchen to fill the pot with water.

"Okay," said Tang Su, following him into the kitchen.

The seasoning Tang Su prepared was spicy, fresh, and very delicious. She had bought some premium dried shrimp from the supermarket last time, which added an excellent texture to the dish.

Lu Han ate two bowls, until he was stuffed.

Tang Su had one bowl and also the egg custard Lu Han had steamed for her, leaving her feeling very full as well.

Afterward, the two of them took all their documents and left home. Downstairs, Tang Su drove while Lu Han sat in the passenger seat.

With New Year approaching, Hua City was decorated with festive lights everywhere, and red lanterns had been hung on the trees, creating a vibrant and beautiful scene.

At the Civil Affairs Bureau, Bai Wei handed over the two numbers she had taken for them. She and Lu Maoyan had each taken a number, in case the youngsters overslept.

"You guys see which number is closer and use that one. Remember to give the wedding candies and cigarettes to the staff later. Your dad and I are leaving now; we’re going to the hotel to order the dishes," Bai Wei instructed.

"Okay, thanks Mom and Dad," Lu Han nodded.

"Thank you... Mom and Dad," Tang Su also changed her way of addressing them.

"Good girl—" Bai Wei and Lu Maoyan were particularly touched by Tang Su calling them Mom and Dad.

That was great; their family pig had finally achieved its purpose.
