Chapter 223: 192 Lu Han, You’ve Got Quite the Eye (2nd Update)_1

The friendship between girls is just like that, as long as they hit it off, they can become close friends in a matter of minutes, just like Tang Su and Sun Qing did initially.

They too became good friends on the very day they met, and their friendship has lasted to this day.

In Long Siyan’s room, the two chatted away without bounds, starting from men, to food, movies, entertainment, novels, and all kinds of gossip.

In the past, girls were often soul-searched by their male classmates about how they never ran out of things to talk about when gathered together, and the girls would reply that apart from having so many topics to chat about, they could talk all day long about just one male celebrity.

The ones who asked such questions were generally straight guys who utterly failed to understand them.

Tang Su didn’t mind that Long Siyan spoke super slowly, she listened patiently until she finished speaking and then gave her opinion at the right time.

Like this, several hours passed in the blink of an eye.

Tang Su had originally planned to go to the kitchen to help Lu Han, but Long Siyan was quite hospitable, and until Lu Han had prepared lunch, Long Aotian had sent Long Yi to call them.

Only then did they realize that the whole morning had slipped away.

The two went to the dining room with flushed faces to eat the ready-made meal.

Tang Su’s face was red because she had said she would help, but ended up enjoying the fruits of others’ labor, and felt a bit embarrassed to face Lu Han.

Long Siyan’s face was red because getting close to Long Yi was what a little girl naturally felt when she saw a man she admired.

Long Yi was a typical straight guy. As a child, he was taken in by the old master who provided him with plenty of food, warm clothes, and a soft bed. He was very good to everyone in the Longmen family.

In his heart, the old master, Sect Leader, and the young lady were people he would protect with his life; they were the masters, and he was their loyal subordinate.

Given his stance, he was completely unaware of the feelings Long Siyan had for him, and he certainly didn’t entertain any delusions.

Seeing Long Yi up close, and knowing Long Siyan’s thoughts, Tang Su took a careful look at him. His features, seen separately, seemed unremarkable, yet put together they made a perfect combination.

Plus, with his well-shaped face and tall build, along with the smooth lines of his muscles, he had the makings of a male model.

Having spent time with Sun Qing and listening to her analyze various male celebrities and models, Tang Su had also learned to be discerning and knew how to look.

She no longer judged men with only dry words like "good-looking" or "handsome".

Sun Qing would counter her by asking, "What’s good-looking about him? Are his eyes charming, or does he have well-developed pecs, or is it a perky butt?"

She really was too embarrassed to look at a man’s butt.

That was honestly...

Long Yi also noticed Tang Su scrutinizing him and was puzzled. Why was she looking at him like that?

Wasn’t she Lu Han’s girlfriend?

Already spoken for, yet looking at another man like that was not very proper.

In that instant, Long Yi didn’t think highly of Tang Su.

He even frowned a little, but soon, he smoothed his brow.

When Long Siyan looked their way, she missed the small frown on Long Yi’s face and only saw him staring at Tang Su, which gave her a jolt. Could it be that Long Yi had taken a liking to Sister Tang?

How could that be?

Sister Tang and Doctor Lu were both so enamored with each other, what was he thinking?

The three of them went to the dining room, each with their own thoughts.

The seat next to Lu Han was Tang Su’s spot, the head of the table belonged to Old Master Long, and the place to the right of Long Aotian was reserved for Long Siyan.

The two girls seated themselves and saw that the pair had spent the entire morning nestled in the small room. They had managed to pass the time, and upon their arrival, their faces were brimming with smiles. Moreover, when they sat down and exchanged glances, it was clear they got along well.

Long Siyan shared with Tang Su some history about how her grandfather had embarked on this path, as well as how the modern Longmen was different from the chaotic Longmen of the past.

They weren’t ruthless bandits who killed without blinking an eye; in a society governed by the rule of law, Longmen wouldn’t engage in illegal or disorderly activities.

After understanding this, Tang Su no longer held any prejudices against Longmen.

Besides, with Long Siyan, an angel, as part of Longmen, Tang Su felt that Longmen wasn’t scary at all. Much of the gossip was overblown, purely spread by those spewing nonsense.

"Tang Su, Siyan really likes you. When you have time, feel free to visit our home with Lu Han. Siyan doesn’t have many friends, and both you and Lu Han are friends she values a lot,"

the Sect Leader said to Tang Su warmly. He had just basked in the sun with Lu Han, and during their heartfelt conversation, the Sect Leader found out that Lu Han and Tang Su had already built a foundation of eight years together.

Even though the two of them hadn’t seen each other for eight years, each day they were thinking of one another. Siyan was destined not to have a chance.

Fortunately, the girl wasn’t seriously interested in Lu Han, so the Sect Leader finally let the matter go.

Long Aotian had given it up a long time ago; if someone didn’t like you, they just didn’t, no matter how good you were.

"Alright, Elder Long," Tang Su replied.

"Let’s eat. It’s all your boyfriend’s cooking, so don’t be shy."

"Alright."

The Sect Leader expressed that he was quite fond of Tang Su too.

Winning the heart of Lu Han’s girlfriend from a different generation, and now also a good friend of his beloved granddaughter, Tang Su was quite resourceful.

After all, his granddaughter was quite picky, and for her to like Tang Su so much, her character must be impeccable.

Lu Han attentively peeled all the shell-covered dishes for Tang Su, letting her sit back and just enjoy the meat.

Upon seeing this, Long Siyan couldn’t help but tease, "I’ve known Doctor Lu for a while now, but this is the first time I’ve seen him be so considerate and attentive with someone."

"Are you jealous? Then you’d better step up your game and find a boyfriend like Lu Han. That way, someone will peel your shells for you when you want meat," Long Aotian said, while placing some shrimp meat into Long Siyan’s bowl.

"If I want meat, I’ll naturally have my big brother to peel for me," cooed Long Siyan, nestling against Long Aotian.

This made both Long Aotian and the Sect Leader laugh. Pretending to be disgusted, Long Aotian remarked, "Hmph, let your future boyfriend do the peeling. I’m peeling for my own enjoyment."

Long Siyan pouted and glanced at Long Yi, who was seated at the end of the long table, before quickly shifting her gaze away. The Sect Leader noticed this small act and felt a sudden pause in his heart.

Could it be the little girl had fallen for Long Yi?

Long Yi was indeed a decent fellow but much too wooden and honest, not meticulous or considerate. If Siyan really had taken a liking to such a clumsy guy, could he feel reassured?

As lunch was coming to an end, the Sect Leader said to Tang Su, "Stay for dinner tonight. Aotian has invited a chef to roast a whole lamb at home. In such cold weather, there’s nothing more suitable than eating lamb and drinking lamb soup. What do you think, girl? It won’t be too awkward, will it?"

Tang Su shook her head, "It’s not awkward, just a bit embarrassing."

"What’s there to be embarrassed about? Longmen Mansion is so big, and it’s just the three of us grandchildren. It’s too quiet. If you and Lu Han don’t mind, come keep us company and bring some life to the mansion; we couldn’t ask for more."

The Sect Leader had a way with words. His remarks dispelled the faint embarrassment in Tang Su’s heart.

"Okay," Tang Su agreed.

The Sect Leader smiled and praised Tang Su, "Lu Han, you’ve got quite good taste, young man."

Lu Han raised a proud smile. Naturally, his taste was impeccable.

However, Tang Su’s cheeks stayed flushed with the compliment.
