Chapter 523: Chapter 525 Wedding Photo (2)_1

For the first time, Nan Feng thought the term "cute" could be used to describe Ye Ge.

"You mentioned a wedding photo earlier. Are you planning to paint one?" she asked.

Upon hearing this, Ye Ge smoothed out his drawing paper, mixed his paints, and had Nan Feng sit on a long bench. He then placed a half-body mirror from Nan Feng’s room in front of her, and sat down before her himself.

"Is the wedding photo you described in this pose?" Ye Ge asked.

A warmth spread within Nan Feng; she had not expected Ye Ge to remember a comment she had casually made.

She had no more requests, only saying: "Yes, just sitting quietly like this, looking forward, is fine."

In the mirror reflected a pair of individuals, a tall, handsome man, and a petite, exquisite woman.

After watching for a while, Nan Feng felt something was off, and said to Ye Ge: "The heads need to be closer together, touching, yes, just like that."

"I got it!" Ye Ge exclaimed after the quick kiss he planted on Nan Feng’s face. He then moved the mirror away, opened up his sketch paper, and began drawing her.

Ye Ge was about to bring their figures to life in paint.

Nan Feng sat still like a model, letting Ye Ge draw her.

"Ye Ge, when did you start learning to draw?" Nan Feng asked.

Having a husband who can paint is like having a modern-day photographer boyfriend. He could make you look beautiful at any time.

"When I was very young, probably around six or seven years old," Ye Ge replied.

"That early?"

"Yes."

"Who taught you to draw?" Nan Feng continued.

"A master," Ye Ge responded.

"Was this master stern?"

"Strict teachers create outstanding students," Ye Ge responded, as he concentrated deeply on his task. He took care to depict every strand of Nan Feng’s hair, her eyes, her eyebrows, her nose, and her mouth. His strokes were slow and deliberate, as if to etch every line of her body into the depths of his heart.

"Ye Ge, when did you start learning archery?" Nan Feng asked.

"Around the same time, when I was six or seven years old," Ye Ge answered.

"That young? Like, kids that age in our... our Da Ping Village, are still running around bare-bottomed," Nan Feng exclaimed, "Why was your father so strict with you?"

"He did it for my own good," Ye Ge replied.

At this point, Ye Ge paused before adding, "Of course, this is something I understood only when I grew older. I didn’t understand it when I was young."

"Oh." Nan Feng wanted to know many more things about Ye Ge, but she feared she might accidentally reopen old wounds. So, she decided to stop probing.

"Ye Ge, where will we live after we are married? There’s no house in Provincial City. Should I buy another one? Is property expensive in Provincial City?" Nan Feng asked.

"If we don’t have the money, we can live here initially. I don’t mind since I’m the one marrying into your family."

"Pfft..." Nan Feng burst out laughing.

Yet, Ye Ge warned, "Don’t move, or I’ll end up drawing your chin crooked."

Nan Feng quickly resumed her pose.

Only after drawing Nan Feng did Ye Ge start drawing himself.

Based on the image he had just seen in the mirror.

He continued to sketch until the afternoon.

After finishing his drawing, he stood it up.

Overall, it wasn’t bad. Nan Feng looked beautiful, and he - naturally handsome. The key was the expressions in their eyes - they both looked happy.

When Ye Ge turned to look at Nan Feng again, he saw that she had already fallen asleep on the bed, her shoes still on, half a foot peeking out, and without a blanket on.
