But the man was drunk, utterly disrespectful to his own wife. He pushed her away, "Get lost!"

"Zhi Yikai, I let you do whatever you want usually, but you have to come home with me tonight. Otherwise, our guests tomorrow will be privy to fresh scandal!" Lady Zhi pleaded relentlessly.

"Scandal? Haven’t we already been the butt of many jokes? Ever since Cuicui left, we’ve been the talk of the town! And now you’re telling me you care about what others think? Where was this concern when you poisoned Cuicui? And don’t use some scandal to entice me. Are you just lonely and wanting me to sleep with you tonight? Let me tell you, I need a break!"

The man forcefully pushed Lady Zhi to the ground. One of her servants rushed to help her up, but Lady Zhi pushed them away and tried to grasp the man again, her eyes full of desperation: "Yikai, no matter what you think of me, our home’s door is always open to you, I wait for your return!"

It seemed Lady Zhi still cared deeply for the man.

Only Nan Feng and Xiaoqing remained among the spectators. They lived outside of "A Hundred Blooms", and needed to continue on their way, standing out among the dispersing crowd.

To be honest, Nan Feng found the situation a little awkward. No one wishes to have their worst moments witnessed, but she had stumbled upon it.

If it was someone else, Nan Feng might give an apologetic smile, but since it was Lady Zhi, she didn’t feel guilty in the slightest. She saw what she saw, what did it matter?
