Ye-ge bought two skewers and let her eat while walking.

As they were passing by a jewelry shop, Ye-ge suggested to Nan Feng, "Let’s go in and have a look, see if they have any nice pieces."

"It’s all my fault," Ye-ge unexpectedly began to blame himself: "I’ve only ever bought you one white jade hairpin, you’ve been wearing it ever since. Let’s see if we can find something more suitable for you."

"Blooming Flowers" is a place of entertainment. A group of girls stood at the entrance enticing customers. Any man passing by would attract a flock of girls persuading him to enter: "Sir, come and have some fun... Don’t hurry off..."

Some men would enter on the first call, some refused no matter how much the girls coaxed, being pestered for a whole block. When the girls gave up, they would curse angrily, "Pretentious cheapskate!"

Nan Feng and Xiaoqing passed by there almost daily and had long since accustomed to such scenes.

Suddenly, Xiaoqing pointed at a person not far off: "Sister Nan Feng, is that the scumbag who cursed at you that night?"

Nan Feng followed the direction Xiaoqing was pointing at and saw a rich wife pestering a man across the street from "Blooming Flowers".
