Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential -
Chapter 200: Ascension
Chapter 200: Ascension
John and others trained every other day.
One day spent on enlightenment, and the other day spent on going outside in the frenzied monster world to train in the hard-core survival of the fittest.
The Sovereign-rank Tamers of both humans and demons were now working together to train and survive outside.
John had created a teleporter device, not using Molding Essence, but by using materials and his own Voidspace mastery.
With many artisans among the Sovereign-rank Tamers of both demons and humans, it was easy to mass produce these items.
The new Forge Island could be used to create custom materials, so John grew some ores of Voidspace attribute and created the device.
With a single thought, Tamers could teleport inside Monster Paradise.
So if they were in danger, they could just return safely.
Naturally, after a week of training, John also held the competition.
But in this competition, the usage of Pet Monsters was not allowed.
Because John could technically make any Pet Monster a top-tier one, evolving its attribute and species to a high-rank.
So what he wanted were strong fighters who were proficient in their soul techniques and geno ability.
Semi-finals.
Both demons and humans were participating.
The competition lasted for three days with breaks in between.
This competition was to select the ten strongest Sovereign-rank Tamers.
Among them, four were demons and six were humans.
It wasn’t surprising.
Demons were strong because of the way they used their Monsters, and how they had a greater number of Pet Monsters in a sense. They could also sacrifice monsters to boost themselves.
But under John’s rule. Some of their advantages were cut short.
Meanwhile, humans who honed their soul techniques and geno abilities more to heighten their combat power generally had higher combat power than demons without the aid of Pet Monsters.
"Alright, the ten of you will get superior Monster Geno Arts with more powerful variants of attributes, related to your existing attributes as much as possible, and also custom attribute fruits to increase their mastery."
John said, his eyes glinting. "The ten of you will lead other Tamers and go to the higher world first."
"What? So you are not coming, Lord John?"
"No." John shook his head. "We will come later. I have a plan that I want you all to execute."
"You all are originally from the forces that are already established in the higher-ranked world connected to this one."
"So I want you all to go with your superior Pet Monsters that will be evolving and modifying. Superior Monster Geno Arts, and superior soul techniques, all with more powerful variants of attributes."
Everyone was startled.
They couldn’t understand John’s plan, so John revealed it.
"I want you all to return to your respective forces as top-notch Sovereign-rank Tamers that cannot be defeated by any other Sovereign-rank Tamers."
"You will tell your forces that the organization behind Mr. Sirius is going to establish a branch in that world." John smiled.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
By now, they all knew that there was no organization named Vault Curio Traders.
It was all made up.
"Naturally, despite knowing the truth, you are now a part of my kingdom. Does anyone want to leave?"
Everyone’s eyes widened.
"No!"
"No, Lord John. I will not leave even if you torture me."
"This place is simply a paradise. You have means that are otherworldly. If we follow you, we are bound to reach heights we can’t even dream of!"
A Sovereign-rank Tamer with short brown hair and scars on his cheeks stood up first. "Lord John, if you asked me to dive headfirst into the sun, I’d ask if you want me to bring it back!"
The others laughed, but he wasn’t smiling—he was completely serious.
A demon woman with dark lavender skin and a jagged horn crossed her arms. "I used to think demon pride was everything... but honestly, I’d sell my entire bloodline for half the resources you’ve given us this week."
Another demon—a bulky fellow with a crooked nose—grumbled, "Why sell? I already offered up mine last week. Still waiting for the receipt."
That sparked laughter again.
Azelis chuckled behind John. "I don’t know if they’re devoted or deranged."
By now, everyone knew the kind of benefits John could bring them.
If they stayed loyal and followed him, they were only going to get better.
"Alright, everyone. The ten winners will be the leaders, and you will go back with five hundred Sovereign-rank Tamers from every force. People above already know about Mr. Sirius. But now, they will witness even more."
"I want you all to tell the forces once Vault Curio Traders arrive there, there will be changes in their world." John’s eyes flickered. "Tell them about the kind of benefits they can get without revealing the truth."
Waving his hand, John showed everyone a magical paper. "Everyone must sign this soul contract. If you reveal something that should not be revealed, your soul will be obliterated. If someone forcefully tries to pry your memories, you will lose all the memories related to me, this Monster Paradise, and everything that can be traced to me or reveal the boons I have."
Everyone nodded.
Nobody had any objection. They could understand that if the world knew about the kind of boons John had, it would trigger a massive war.
...
For the next thirty days, John made the ten new subordinates and their Pet Monsters very strong by using his Evolution Pathway and Monster Mutation Evolab.
And finally sent them to the higher-ranked world.
Naturally, the news of their return reached Minera’s ears and eyes.
Because after conquering a small organization headed by a Mythical-rank Tamer, she had basically put her eyes all over the ascension veil from where the people of the lower world arrive by crossing the doom veil.
She saw the Tamers arrive in large numbers, but didn’t see John Wicked.
[ It looks like he is still below. It doesn’t matter. Once he arrives here, we will have to lay a careful plan. For now, we have to keep ourseleves absolutely hidden. ]
"Yeah, I got it. But I have a feeling he is planning something too. These demons and humans coming together is not that strange, but the vibe they are exuding is strange."
Minera narrowed her eyes. "It’s like they are truly united."
...
Another thirty days passed by before John and others were truly ready.
All of them had filled up their Pet Monster slots, Geno Arts slots, and Soul Technique slots.
All of them had also reached level 6 in all of their Mastery.
Only Legendary-rank Monsters and Tamers usually had level 6 masteries.
Volkia and Noctelith, the two terrifying Legendary-rank Monsters with space-time related attributes, were also honed to the extreme.
"Alright, that bitch who messed with us should already be there. Our battle won’t end until one of us is dead, so I am taking precautions."
John looked at the two Monsters, one of which was now his as he had tamed Noctelith as his 7th pet.
"Once we cross Doom Veil, I want the three of us to initiate a combined spatial transfer. We will instantly teleport far away, and we will do multiple teleportations. Only I and two will be outside while the rest will be inside Monster Paradise."
"Our locations must be hidden from everyone. Alright, let’s go."
John had also created a large and magnificent palace on the Forge Island’s edge, which he was going to use as the Vault Curio Trader’s headquarters by making it appear anywhere out of thin air when the time came.
But as soon as John, Volkia, and Noctelith crossed the doom veil, something happened.
The Rune of New Beginning also began issuing a warning while Chuthulos’s voice rang.
[Warning. Warning. Warning.-]
[Brother John, le-]
John felt a danger like never before.
And he was instantly frozen.
The moment John crossed the Doom Veil with Volkia and Noctelith, the sky above the higher-ranked world twisted—no, fractured.
Something had been waiting.
A force that existed outside of timing, outside of calculation.
[Warning. Warning. Warning.]
The Rune of New Beginning glowed in violent crimson, its divine authority screeching like a collapsing sun.
[Brother John, le—!]
Chuthulos’s voice was cut off mid-sentence as the Rune was forcefully sealed.
John’s pupils shrank.
The space around him did not ripple.
It collapsed.
The first to strike was not a blow, but a law. A universal principle rewritten mid-breath.
Time inverted in a local sphere—Noctelith and Volkia were instantly ejected into Monster Paradise as John’s contingency activated, shielding them.
But John was frozen mid-motion.
The sky bled.
And then, the chains came.
Not physical chains.
Chains made of binding concepts—rules that rejected John’s very existence.
They wrapped around his arms, legs, soul, and will.
"Ghh—!" John grunted, veins bulging on his forehead as his Voidspace mastery ignited.
The realm around him twisted into endless folds, spiraling in a dozen spatial paradoxes.
But the chains did not even budge.
His eyes gleamed with Chronolight.
He reversed his personal time, fast-forwarded, stopped, splintered it—burning through his entire temporal potential.
Nothing.
Gravitalon mastery surged next. A vortex of infinite mass collapsed around him, distorting gravity itself to create a dead zone where no force could sustain itself.
And yet, the bindings only grew tighter, as if feeding on his rebellion.
John clenched his jaw.
His entire being exploded with aura—soul energy rampaging, Pet Monster contracts thrumming in protest from within the Monster Paradise.
But he could not even lift a finger.
The rune of his own soul cracked.
Then shattered.
"No... not like this..."
Above him, a mouth formed.
Not made of flesh. Nor of energy.
A mouth formed from absence.
A void that did not belong to any attribute—because it had no name. No concept.
An Anti-Existence.
And it whispered into his soul.
"You do not belong."
John’s body split open from every angle as more invisible chains drove through him—not to torture, not to punish—but to erase.
He screamed, not in pain, but in resistance.
He was being unmade.
His talents shattered one by one.
His soul techniques unraveled into raw threads of forgotten will.
Even the blessing of the Rune of New Beginning trembled before blinking out like a dying star.
"No legacy. No mark. No memory."
It was not death that came for John.
It was a deletion.
He had already sent Volkia and Noctelith back into Monster Paradise when he sensed it.
He tried his best, but he somehow couldn’t return to Monster Paradise.
’Damn it!’
"John!"
"What’s going on?!"
Azelis and others could only watch in horror as John was completely helpless.
"It’s one of the Monster Gods’ law that triggered..." Chuthulos muttered, his eyes flickering.
In the end, the mouth of the void devoured him.
However, Chuthulos was glowing, his large eyes flickering with a myriad of stars.
In the next moment, a pitch black space formed in front of Chuthulos, holding the fragments of John’s soul.
"Brother John...it’s time. You are hanging by a thread despite being dead. You...have to unleash the potential of the Rune of New Beginning and revive as one of a kind."
"An Eldritch Tamer." Chuthulos’s eyes glowed as he looked at John with hope.
"You can do it."
