Chapter 536: Location 4 Chapter 536: Location 4 Arnold Johnson let Victoria Garcia go, affectionately touching her face and said, “You’ve had a day full of thrills and exhaustion. Have you eaten anything at all?”

Victoria responded with a smile, “Hmm, I ate a bit, the hospital meal, but I was in no mood to eat at the time, so the food tasted bland. I didn’t eat much.”

As far as Arnold was concerned, she might as well have not eaten.

“I’ll take you to eat something first, then I’ll take you home so you can have a nice bath and get some sleep. How does that sound?” His tone was gentle and solicitous, like he was coddling a child.

Victoria nodded, “I’ve been scared all day, and it’s really drained me. I feel like eating something rich in flavour to replenish my energy.”

“Well, what do you want to eat?” Arnold probed.

“I don’t know what I want to eat; you choose something for me?” Victoria was genuinely at a loss.

Arnold started the car and pulled into the road before he said, “In such cold weather, and since you want to eat something rich in taste, let’s have barbecue, alright?”

Upon hearing Arnold suggest barbecue, thoughts of all sorts of meats flooded Victoria’s mind – pork belly, beef, chicken…

But, actually, she was a little hungry.

“Given that your suggestion is not too displeasing, I suppose I won’t make things difficult for you this time,” Victoria told him.

Arnold replied, laughing, “Thank you, future wife, for not making things difficult for your future husband.”

“Why does it sound so weird when you say it?” Victoria felt the titles were overly long.

Arnold coughed awkwardly, “In that case, how about we drop the ‘future’ and just become legally husband and wife?”

“It turns out you were waiting for me to say that.” Victoria had an epiphany.

Arnold quickly added, “I’m totally serious.”

“Dream on! I won’t settle so easily!” Victoria turned her head away from him, a smile on her face.

“Then tell me, what are you hoping for?”

Victoria turned back to face Arnold, and replied deliberately, “I am not going to tell you!”

“If you tell me, I can try them one by one until I get it right. I have all the patience in the world for this,” Arnold assured her.

“Alright then, I’ll be waiting.” Victoria smiled, pleased with herself.

The two of them chit-chatted in the car while listening to music, and soon they arrived at the barbecue restaurant that Arnold had chosen. It was a modestly-sized establishment.

Walking in, they were greeted by waitstaff dressed in Grand Country-style uniforms, greeting them in the language of the Grand Country.

Soon, the waitstaff led them to a private room by the window.

Victoria and Arnold both took off their coats.

“Have you been to this barbecue restaurant before?” Victoria looked around; it was somewhat off the beaten path.

Arnold replied, “Many years ago, I happen to pass by here when I was starving, so I stopped in and had a barbecue. I thought it was pretty decent, so I brought you here.”

“Many years ago, huh?” Victoria couldn’t help but drag out her words, “Did you come alone?”

“Of course…not!” Arnold’s laughter was deep; his deep eye sockets made his eyes seem even more alluring and captivating.

Victoria watched his mischievous grin and asked, “Don’t tell me you were here with some woman?”

“Of course…not!” Arnold’s laughter deepened.

Looking at Victoria, Arnold said, “If I remember correctly, it was four years ago, I came here with Wavy on a particularly cold day. Do you know why we chose this barbecue restaurant?”
