“I know,” Alexander replied.

Brittany Campbell, standing nearby, quickly chimed in to support her husband, “Yes, your father’s right. We can’t let Leah suffer like this. Our Mitchell Family will take action, and you should too. At this point, our two families are as good as one.”

“What? You still don’t want to marry Leah?” Brittany immediately snapped, “We all know what happened back in Green City. If it weren’t for Leah helping you, you… ”

“Alexander, is this how you speak to your mother?” Brittany was shocked by her son’s reaction.

Phillip Mitchell quickly stepped in to mediate the situation between mother and son.

Alexander, however, didn’t want to face his parents at all and turned around to walk away.

Brittany was angry enough to chase after him but was stopped by Phillip Mitchell.

“Why are you stopping me? You should go after him! If he leaves like this, how will the Field Family think of our son?” Brittany had been yelled at by Alexander, and now she was in tears.

Her son was her life. She always thought about him and tried to make him agree with her, but the older her son got, the more opinionated he became, and the rift between mother and son naturally grew larger.

“Amy, I’ve told you many times. As our son grows up, there are some things he doesn’t want us to interfere with, so we shouldn’t,” Phillip Mitchell tried to console his wife.
