Following her mother’s hint, Mia raised her glass.

Upon hearing her mother’s words, Mia laughed and chimed in as well.

Clara straightforwardly said, “Ethan, it’s not that I don’t trust you, but I’m really scared after being tricked by Terry Garcia. We had an agreement: you would wire an eight-digit sum into my account before I gave you my daughter.”

“In this restaurant, there are many people. Once I see the money, I’ll immediately take my daughter to the room. If I don’t see it, I’ll just leave with her.” Clara had learned the hard way that nothing was more important than money.
