Chapter 414 - 414 Life after catastrophe 2

Chapter 414: Life after catastrophe 2 Chapter 414: Life after catastrophe 2 The two didn’t stay too long in the hotel room and were soon preparing to leave for the country.

As soon as Theo saw Arnold Johnson and Victoria Garcia coming out together, he hurriedly got out of the car to help them with the door.

Theo’s gaze fell on Arnold and Victoria’s hand-holding. Though he had seen this loving scene several times, it still made his heart feel uncomfortable, always feeling as if the man holding the woman’s hand wasn’t their Big Boss Arnold Johnson.

It was just that this side of Arnold seemed too down-to-earth, making it difficult for Theo to adapt.

The car drove for less than thirty minutes and arrived at a Private Airport. Victoria and Arnold held hands and walked into the Cockpit, while Theo silently followed behind.

Once on the plane, Theo consciously found a particularly inconspicuous room to stay in so as not to disturb Arnold and Victoria for even a second.

These past few days were the longest time Victoria and Arnold had been alone together. The two had already gone from their initial awkwardness to feeling completely comfortable with each other. Even without speaking, the act of snuggling together felt like a very happy state.

“You didn’t eat much tonight, are you hungry now?” Arnold asked her.

Victoria, of course, knew why she hadn’t eaten much that night – she had eaten too much during the delicious lunch, causing her stomach to feel stuffed, so she didn’t eat much in the evening.

“I’m a bit hungry, but I don’t want to eat meat.” Victoria said with a smile, adding, “Although your steak is delicious, I ate too much at lunch today.”

“How about we eat fish then?”

“Isn’t fish meat?” Victoria blinked and innocently asked him.

Arnold felt his IQ dropping.

“Let me see if there’s any vegetarian dishes in the fridge.” Saying so, Arnold stood up and walked towards the fridge.

Victoria also stood up and followed him.

Opening the fridge, there weren’t many vegetarian dishes. However, there were two boxes of vegetable salad. Arnold pointed at them and asked, “Do you want to eat these?”

“Sure.”

“Then, I’ll also make you some Grilled Fish. How does that sound?” Arnold suggested.

Victoria gave him a fiery, piercing look and said, “Since you’re so enthusiastic, I’ll indulge you.”

Reaping the benefits while still acting innocent.

Arnold took out a fish from the bottom of the fridge. This fish was bought a few days ago at the Autumn Harvest Morning Market and was perfect for making a barbecue.

“Are you planning to wait outside or stand here?” With the fish by his side, Arnold asked.

Victoria stood to one side and responded with a smile, “Of course I’m going to stand here and learn some tricks.”

“In that case, I’ll give you the chance. Make sure to serve me a good meal once you’ve learned how.” Arnold said unceremoniously.

“Dream on!”

With that, the two looked at each other and laughed.

Arnold kissed Victoria’s cheek before walking over to the fish. He observed the fish, and noticed that the flesh was delicate and patterned. He cut it into slightly thick squares.

He then took out some seasoning, marinated the fish for a short while, and when the time was right, put the marinated fish one piece at a time onto an iron plate.

As Victoria saw him finish all this, she watched him take a grill gun out of a nearby cabinet and began cooking the fish with it. Soon, the fish’s surface began to change color, and she even heard the sizzling sound the fish made.

Suddenly, Victoria felt her stomach rumbling.
