Chapter 396: That night 2 Chapter 396: That night 2 “Why? Why?” Sydney Bennett looked at Arnold Johnson, still pointing a gun at her, and yelled, “Why are you doing this to me?”

“Why can’t I do this to you?” Arnold Johnson retorted.

Sydney Bennett, her eyes wide with fear and innocence, looked at him and said, “Do you really not feel any nostalgia at all? That night, didn’t it stir anything inside you? Didn’t you feel even a little bit of affection?”

Before Arnold Johnson could reply, Roger Bennett emotionally yelled at his daughter, Sydney Bennett, “Enough, Sydney!”

Once Roger finished speaking, he spat out some fresh blood.

Looking at their reactions, Arnold Johnson simply responded, “We never shared a night together. Whatever you’re thinking is all a product of your imagination.”

“You’re talking nonsense! It was all real, how could it possibly be fake!” Sydney Bennett, overlooking her shame, screamed loudly.

Arnold Johnson looked at her, without pity or sympathy, and said calmly and indifferently, ” If you really want to know what happened that night, I can tell you. But first, you have to tell me where Victoria is!”

Upon hearing this, Roger once again risked vomiting blood as he exclaimed, “Arnold Johnson, you promised you wouldn’t reveal the truth!”

Arnold Johnson turned his head towards Roger and said indifferently, “When you threatened me using Victoria, I didn’t retaliate with threats because I had made a promise to you. I, Arnold Johnson, always keep my word. But now, things have changed because you slipped up, and I longer want to help you.”

Sydney, after hearing the strange conversation between her father Roger and Arnold Johnson, started wondering if there was something she didn’t know about.

“What are you guys really talking about?” Sydney looked at her father and then at Arnold, just what had happened?

Arnold Johnson remained calm and said, “Sydney, don’t try my patience like your father did, or I won’t be considerate because you’re a woman.”

His indifferent and ruthless gaze was distinctly different from when he looked at Victoria Garcia.

“First, you tell me what happened that night?” Sydney insisted.

Arnold, barely suppressing his anger, said, “You must first tell me where Victoria is!”

“You think I don’t know your feelings for her? As soon as I tell you, you’ll turn and go!” Sydney replied, enduring the pain in her arm.

“Sydney, now you are my prisoner, you have no right to negotiate with me!”

“I don’t care if I have the right or not, if you want to learn from me where Victoria Garcia went, then you’ll have to listen to me!” Red-eyed, Sydney yelled at Arnold Johnson.

Watching his daughter’s crazed actions, Roger crawled to Sydney’s side and pleaded, “Sydney, stop this madness, let it go. Just tell Arnold where Victoria is, father will tell you everything you want to know later, okay?”

Roger was practically begging his daughter.

Despite Roger taking Arnold’s side on this, Arnold wasn’t in the mood for kindness, stating coldly, “You will never hear the truth from your father because he was the one who orchestrated all of this.”

Roger suddenly spat out fresh blood, looking at Arnold with a gaze full of hatred, wishing he could swallow him whole and make him disappear forever.
