Chapter 284 - 284 Unexpected
Chapter 284: Unexpected Chapter 284: Unexpected Amelia Wilson never expected Kaelin Johnson to confront her at this moment.
“Where are you off to? How about a drink?” Kaelin asks, a smile curling on her face.
Amelia has something on her mind and naturally does not wish to entertain her. “I’m sorry, Miss Johnson, I have something else to attend to. Maybe some other time.”
“So, what’s the matter?” Kaelin gazes at her with a sly smirk, “Are you rushing off to save the day?”
“What do you mean?”
“You guess exactly what I mean.” Kaelin clearly has no intention of letting her leave.
Amelia stares at her, even looking slightly alarmed.
Kaelin adores this kind of expression.
“You swapped Caroline Nelson’s wine, I know, Caroline knows, too.” Kaelin begins to laugh, mischievously, “You think you helped your sister, but in reality, it’s all in your head.”
Kaelin leans in near her ear, whispering lightly, “The wine brought over afterwards by the waiter was swapped by us. Thanks to your appearance, this play went off more smoothly and almost perfectly.”
“No… that’s impossible!” Amelia shouts angrily.
“Just because you say it’s impossible, it becomes so?” Kaelin hates Amelia and Victoria, “I arranged everything in this play, so my word is final.”
Deep down, Amelia understands it’s the truth. If they hadn’t changed the wine back in the end, how could they possibly know she had swapped the wine?
This means she betrayed her sister, Victoria.
At this thought, the rage is ignited within Amelia.
“Get out of my way!” Amelia shouts, trying to push past Kaelin.
She must find a way to catch up
Kaelin doesn’t clash with Amelia directly. As Amelia tries to push past, Kaelin sidesteps and splashes her cup of red wine onto Amelia’s dress, which now stains the once pristine white color and even splatters onto her hair…
But at this moment, Amelia is beyond caring about the wine that Kaelin had poured onto her. She must rush to save her sister, putting off settling this score with Kaelin until later.
Kaelin has obviously calculated all of this. Despite Amelia’s desperate attempt to chase after her, she will not find the slightest trace of Victoria, who at this moment has been led to the corresponding room where the commencement of a nightmare awaits her.
Thinking of this brings a triumphant smile to Kaelin’s face.
After today, Victoria will never get another chance with Arnold, and attempting to steal what rightfully belongs to her sister will only lead to a dead-end.
Amelia feels like she’s going mad, unable to find Victoria.
But giving up is out of the question. Even if it means going room to room, she must find Victoria. As she thinks about how her appearance led Victoria straight into a trap, she wallows in self-blame.
She had thought she was helping her sister, only to unwittingly lure Victoria into falling into a pit.
That damned Kaelin and that murderous Caroline. If anything happens to Victoria, she, Amelia, will never let them off for the rest of her life.
As Amelia is running around, Kaelin is leisurely sipping her red wine. In less than half an hour, a spectacular scene is about to play out.
However, she is unsure whether her beloved brother-in-law, Arnold, would be able to witness it all. But even if he can’t, she’ll make sure someone films everything and exposes it all. He definitely won’t remain in the dark.
The only regret is not being able to witness the shock in person…
