Chapter 281: Reverse a rake Chapter 281: Reverse a rake “Do I really have to do this?” To be honest, Victoria Garcia was a complete stranger to Caroline Nelson.

Kaelin Johnson insisted firmly, “Yes, as long as you do this, I will owe you a favor in the future. If you need my help later on, I will not hesitate.”

“If my cousin finds out I changed my mind at the last minute, she’ll probably hate me to death.” Caroline said worriedly.

“Haven’t you always been fond of my Ocean Heart diamond necklace? If you take care of that matter, I’ll give it to you.” Kaelin added temptation.

Indeed, Caroline’s heart wavered even more.

“Would it conflict with the favor?” Caroline asked.

“No conflict. You can still ask for my help in the future.” Kaelin replied generously.

Caroline made up her mind after some inner struggle, “Alright, let’s settle it then!”

Kaelin showed a triumphant smile. She had not expected that Caroline’s invitation to watch a lively show would bring trouble to Victoria instead. It was as if even the heavens couldn’t bear it.

“Victoria Garcia, daring to compete with my sister for things, you can go to hell!” Kaelin snorted in her heart.

Over at Victoria’s side.

Wavy chatted with Victoria and found that it was about time to leave before he was caught red-handed by Arnold Johnson.

If Victoria had been willing to sweetly call him “Brother Wavy,” then getting caught by Arnold would have been worth it. But since she wasn’t, this deal seemed unfair and it was better to make a quick exit.

“Victoria, we’ll meet again if fate allows. If Arnold comes back, remember to tell him that I miss him and his woman. But I have urgent business to attend to, so I won’t say goodbye to him.”

Wavy was truly a mysterious figure – appearing like a gust of wind and leaving the same way.

Victoria didn’t even have time to say goodbye before his figure disappeared.

Just as Victoria, who was preparing to leave, put down her drink, a sweet-looking girl walked towards her.

“Sister Victoria, hello!”

Seeing such an enthusiastic girl, Victoria instinctively became alert.

“Hello,” Victoria responded politely.

“Why are you alone? Where’s Arnold Johnson?” Caroline asked with an even sweeter smile.

Victoria politely replied, “He’s attending to some matters.”

“It’s rare to see Arnold bring a female companion to a banquet. I’d like to share a drink with you, Sister. I hope you’ll give me this chance.” Just like that, “Sister Victoria” became “sister.”

Victoria naturally had her guard up and said, “I’m sorry, but I don’t handle alcohol well.”

Seeing her response, Caroline said directly: “Sister, don’t worry, I have no ill intentions. It’s just a toast.”

After saying that, Caroline waved casually and an attendant approached, bringing two glasses of wine and some desserts.

Caroline picked up a glass and handed the other to Victoria. Smiling, she said, “I’m very happy to meet you, sister. I’ll drink first as a gesture of respect.”

Having said that, she drank the red wine in her glass in one gulp.

As Victoria held the wine glass, she felt that something was off about the whole situation. Everything seemed genuine and casual, yet she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was amiss.

This sense of unease made her unable to drink the wine in her glass.

Seeing that Victoria didn’t drink, Caroline was not angry, but asked, “Is it because sister doesn’t like me that she won’t even share a drink with me?”
