Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please!
Chapter 280 - 280 Birthday Banquet 5

Chapter 280: Birthday Banquet 5 Chapter 280: Birthday Banquet 5 Victoria Garcia was meeting someone who regarded ‘shamelessness’ as normal for the first time.

“What does Arnold Johnson want from you?” Victoria couldn’t resist her curiosity and asked.

Wavy chuckled evilly, saying, “Call me a good brother or a dear brother, then I’ll tell you!”

“…”

“I promise, if you call me ‘Brother Wavy’ in front of Arnold with your sweetest voice, I will certainly do a favor for you in the future.” Wavy continued with a smile.

The thought of such a scene, along with Arnold’s reaction to hearing it, made him incredibly excited. The more he thought about it, the more excited he became.

“Why should I ask you to do something for me?”

“In this day and age, there aren’t many people who can get me, Wavy, to agree to do something for them. So, you should feel honoured. It’s like a pie falling from the sky. If you don’t take advantage of this opportunity, you’ll regret it for the rest of your life.” Wavy said with a serious look, as if it were true.

“I think, out of the few people who can get you to agree to do something, Arnold must be one of them. Since I have him, I have no reason to ask you to do anything for me.” Victoria earnestly replied.

Wavy looked at her seriously, and then broke out into laughter. “Come on, Victoria, as a woman, you should not be so formal. How can you get men to like you if you are so serious?”

Victoria sipped her sweet drink again and casually stated, “If a man likes me, no matter what I do, he’ll find it delightful. If he doesn’t, no matter what I do, he’ll be annoyed.”

“So, just act as one please.”

Wavy found her response even more amusing. “Victoria, what you said is really true. It seems I have to learn from you how to snatch you away from Arnold.”

He really wanted to see Arnold’s reaction when that happened.

“You could discuss that with Arnold.” Victoria generously bestowed on him a sweet smile.

Wavy touched his chin, unable to stop laughing. “Victoria, you are so beautiful when you smile.”

“…”

While Wavy was ‘flirting’ with Victoria, two pairs of eyes were watching her from another corner of the banquet.

“Kaelin, is that the Victoria Garcia you hate so much? Your sister’s rival in love?” Caroline Nelson, Kaelin’s best friend, asked the question.

Kaelin Johnson sipped her red wine, a hint of viciousness flashing in her eyes. She indifferently stated, “Caroline, how about we play differently today? Consider it a favor to me, I’ll owe you one. How’s that?”

“What’s your idea?” Caroline asked in confusion.

“Let’s pin what we were going to do to your cousin on her. How about that?” A cold smile began to appear on Kaelin’s face.

“You are insane!” Caroline stared at her incredulously. “If your brother-in-law finds out, we will be in a big trouble.”

“What are you afraid of? If anything happens, I’ll take responsibility. I don’t believe he could get rid of me just for that outsider.”

Absolute clarity dawned upon Caroline. Her friend’s words, albeit crazy, were reasonable. After all, the marriage between the Johnsons was not just arbitrary—it had been agreed upon by the elders.

Furthermore, Arnold also answers to Grand Lady Johnson.

What Victoria’s destiny would be in the end, nobody knew, but it would be much different for the Johnson sisters.
