Chapter 194 - 194 Old Photos 2
Chapter 194: Old Photos 2 Chapter 194: Old Photos 2 Upon hearing Terry Garcia’s words, Clara Brown became somewhat unhappy.
“What? In your eyes, am I incapable of achieving anything?”
Seeing her displeasure, Terry could only suppress the frustration in his heart once more, turning his head to gently persuade her: “What I mean is that we should discuss any ideas together. That’s how it is between husband and wife, isn’t it? We need to consult and measure each other.”
Clara always liked hearing Terry’s sweet words when she was young, and even now, she still enjoyed their sweetness.
Seeing him lower his head, Clara asked him pleasantly, “Do you know what Victoria Garcia’s weakness is?”
As a father, he had never really thought about these issues, and for a moment, he was stumped by Clara’s question, not knowing how to answer.
So, he shook his head to indicate that he didn’t know.
Clara’s face shone with cunning as she said, “Family love.”
Josephine Garcia was like that back then, so the daughter she raised would naturally be similar. Moreover, having grown up with her three sisters, she respected her mother and was likely to view familial bonds as more important than anything else.
On this point, Clara seemed to have grasped something.
“You mean to target Victoria’s sister?” When Terry said this, his complexion noticeably darkened.
No matter what, they were his daughters. He couldn’t bring himself to be ruthless towards them, let alone that it was not just Victoria who involved the three of them.
“Can’t we think of another way, and not always resort to such difficult and unrewarding methods? It would be a waste of effort, and the chances of success may not be high.”
“Then what exactly do you want to do?” Terry was even more puzzled when he saw that Clara did not intend to harm those people.
“I want to use your ex-wife’s hand to make Victoria voluntarily give up her position as deputy general manager.” Clara said directly.
Upon hearing this, Terry’s first reaction was, “You’re insane. She’s been dead for almost a year.”
“She may be dead, but some things are very much alive.” Clara found her cousin repulsive sometimes, but occasionally, she thought that Josephine was a stepping stone for her to rise to prominence.
Terry’s brain raced as he thought about what elements Josephine still possessed that could threaten Victoria.
In a short while, it seemed as if he had guessed it, and he looked at Clara incredulously.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Clara glared back unhappily, “It’s exactly what you’re thinking.”
“Didn’t you destroy it back then?” Terry had always thought that those things were destroyed because they were even more humiliating to him than Josephine.
Clara, puzzled, retorted, “Such a good thing, wouldn’t it be a pity to destroy it?”
Looking at her beautifully manicured nails, Clara laughed lightly, “See, it’s useful this time, isn’t it?”
“Would this thing be an effective threat to Victoria?” Terry couldn’t help but worry, “You know, there is so much interest in being deputy general manager, and being dead, she can no longer benefit from it.”
He had to admit that sometimes, Terry was as ungrateful as he himself could be.
“Victoria is different from you; she will definitely agree to it. After all, it’d save her mother’s disgrace.”
Terry was also angry, “But that’s my disgrace too.”
“Disgrace comes in many forms. After all, you are the one who has been pitied. At most, you lose face, but you can save some of the bad reputations you’ve carried over the years.” Clara smartly chose to keep silent about words like ‘abandoning wife and daughter.’ After all, without her, Terry and Josephine would not have gone this far.
