Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please! -
Chapter 193 - 193 Aged Photos
Chapter 193: Aged Photos Chapter 193: Aged Photos Metropolis, the Garcia Villa in the deep of night.
With the temporary stabilization of Terry Garcia’s position in the company and the influence of Clara Brown’s shares, the spousal relationship was temporarily relieved. In order to consolidate the company’s image, Terry also curtailed his behaviors publicly.
Terry Garcia didn’t return to the villa until midnight, appearing distinctly weary.
“You’ve come back so late, don’t tell me you were messing around with some unsavory women again!” Clara met him and began to sniff his body for any hint of perfume.
Terry allowed her to fuss over him.
“Victoria is returning to Metropolis.” He sounded displeased when he said this.
Letting go of Terry’s clothes, Clara asked puzzledly, “Didn’t you send her to the Green City? Why is she coming back now?”
Indeed, he didn’t expect that Victoria Garcia would have the ability to save the Green City’s Old Factory. He realized he had underestimated her.
“A bunch of useless rubbish.” Terry whispered a curse under his breath.
His hidden insinuation was clear, he wished Victoria would fail in Green City. However, she not only stabilized her footing there but also achieved good results and won the trust of the employees.
“Who are you cursing?” Clara instinctively shot back.
Terry lacked the energy to detail the reasons, only saying, “It’s about the company’s internal affairs, none of your concern.”
While Clara was not well-versed in business affairs, she did have her own intrigues to follow.
“You’re afraid that when Victoria comes back to the company, they will offer her a vice-president position, aren’t you.” Clara continued disdainfully, “Even if you are willing, I am not, why should she be the vice president.”
“The Board of Directors agreed that as long as she could save the Green City’s Old Factory, the vice president position would be hers.” She also happens to be the second largest shareholder of the group.
“Becoming a vice-director isn’t easy.” Clara’s eyes revealed her scheming intents.
“It would be impossible to deny the plan approved by the Board of Directors.” Even if he was in control of the company, he cared about reputation. If this issue were to be publicized, the newly stabilized shares would suffer terribly.
Thinking about this, Terry was frustrated. He had lost to his own daughter in this game.
In his world, strength prevails over weakness. He had never considered from a different perspective that his daughter’s competence was a blessing.
“Since we cannot deny what has been approved, then there is only one way to proceed.” Clara squinted her eyes as a cold smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.
“What’s the plan?” Terry asked with a hint of interest.
“She can willingly give up her position, and vow never to interfere with the company affairs.” Clara replied swiftly.
After hearing this, Terry thought Clara’s idea a joke. If Victoria was willing to step aside, she wouldn’t be struggling to claw her way back into the company to vie against him in the first place.
Clara waved off Terry’s skepticism, assuring him, “Trust me, I know how to make her give up on her own accord.”
“And how are you planning to do that?” Terry asked casually, “Don’t tell me you’re going to kidnap her and threaten her.”
Clara shrugged her shoulders and then nudged Terry, “Such an idiotic idea, how could I, your wife, ever do such a thing.”
Her response piqued Terry’s curiosity, “Then tell me, what’s your plan? Let me hear it and see if it’s feasible. Don’t let it backfire and mess things up.”
Terry was not truly confident in Clara’s capability to carry out the plan. If it ended up becoming a fiasco, he would have to clean up after her, and with his current pile of problems, he didn’t want to deal with anything else.
