Chapter 164 - 164 Unexpected Encounter 3
Chapter 164: Unexpected Encounter 3 Chapter 164: Unexpected Encounter 3 Victoria Garcia headed in the direction that Alexander Mitchell had indicated over the phone, and soon saw the black car with the XX9 license plate. Alexander stood next to the car, his white shirt looking particularly dazzling under the dim streetlight.
Victoria walked over, and Alexander opened the car door for her, saying, “I’ll take you somewhere to eat something.”
“Are you trying to drink and drive with me?” Victoria asked him.
Alexander smiled at her, “Don’t worry, I only drank a little bit, and I vomited in the restroom afterward. I promise I won’t drive recklessly.”
Victoria stood there, not moving for a moment.
“No matter how much you drank, you shouldn’t drive after drinking. If you really want to eat, then you sit in the passenger seat, and I’ll drive,” Victoria said.
Alexander chuckled, “I was waiting for you to say that.”
After saying that, without looking at Victoria’s expression, he quickly got into the car.
Victoria closed the car door and went to the driver’s seat.
After fastening her seatbelt, Victoria started the car and asked him at the same time, “Where to?”
“I want to eat at a street food stall, barbecue skewers,” Alexander said, his expression like that of a greedy child.
Although Alexander came from a high-ranking family, he had a special fondness for Metropolis’s barbecue skewers and street food stalls. Once upon a time, he would take her to eat at these kinds of stalls whenever he had the chance.
“So tell me exactly where it is,” Victoria asked.
“You drive, and I’ll tell you how to get there,” Alexander didn’t seem to have the intention to set up the navigation system, “It’s not far from here. After we leave this place and enter the main road, turn left at the first intersection.”
Victoria turned the steering wheel, and the car entered the main road.
Alexander sat next to her, staring at her profile, lost in thought.
Today, Victoria was wearing a white suit set with a black camisole underneath, which made her look much more capable than usual. It was the first time he had seen her dressed so professionally.
In his eyes, she looked good in anything.
Victoria could feel his gaze linger on her.
“Alexander, if you keep staring at me like this, there might be an accident at the next intersection,” Victoria warned him.
“If an accident could put us in the same hospital room for a month, I would really be willing,” Alexander joked, “Of course, the premise is that we both have to be healthy and well after that month.”
“Turn left here. What’s next?” Victoria ignored him directly, only asking about the next direction.
Alexander felt somewhat bored, but as long as he could see her, the excitement would quickly rise again.
“Keep going straight, then take a right turn at the third crossroads. After that, there will be a street food area. Just stop in front of the stall called ‘A Long Time Ago’,” Alexander instructed.
When Alexander said the words “A Long Time Ago,” his tone was decidedly different.
Victoria drove silently, pretending not to understand the meaning behind his words.
It didn’t take long for Victoria to park the car in front of the street food stall Alexander mentioned.
After parking the car, she walked over to the stall with Alexander.
The stall owner enthusiastically welcomed them, asking what they would like to eat.
Alexander boldly said, “20 barbecue meat skewers, 20 grilled lamb skewers…plus one bottle of herbal tea and two bottles of beer.”
“Alright, it’ll be ready soon.” With that, the stall owner turned around and left.
At Green City Grand Hotel, Alexa entered and whispered to the middle-aged man.
“Are you sure? You didn’t see wrong?” The middle-aged man’s expression was clearly one of surprise.
Alexa confirmed very positively, “No doubt, one hundred percent.”
The middle-aged man then fell into deep thought.
