Chapter 373: Chapter 373: Just Play a Game to Find Out

Three children, two a bit older and one younger; the youngest seemed to be about the same age as Yun Yun.

The older two were the ones they had encountered yesterday.

Feng Jiao couldn’t help but take an extra glance at them.

However, the youngest clearly also paid attention to her, busy handing over food to a tall young girl.

Xiaoqi and Fang Ting, upon seeing Feng Jiao, came over to thank her.

"It’s nothing. All small matters. Is that your sister over there?" asked Feng Jiao.

"Mhm," Xiaoqi and Fang Ting nodded lightly.

Feng Jiao’s gaze was drawn to them and she couldn’t help but keep looking over.

Halfway through his meal, Jiang Zhe received a call and stepped out onto the balcony.

Another child came in with a mobile phone and sat down at Jiang Zhe’s seat.

This child was dressed in a suit and bow tie, and Feng Jiao recognized at a glance that he was the precious grandson of Director Tan.

Director Tan was Feng Jiao and her husband Lu Jinjiang’s direct superior, and this little tyrant was raised to be quite overbearing and domineering.

Feng Jiao felt sorry for Xiaoqi and the other children; she didn’t want to see them caught up in trouble and called out to the little tyrant, "Yuheng, come sit over by auntie."

Tan Yuheng gave Feng Jiao a dismissive look, "I’ll sit here, this spot is good."

Jiang Yunxuan tapped on the table, "Didn’t you see there’s food and people here?"

"Where? There’s no one," Tan Yuheng, always used to having his way, refused to acknowledge the presence of others, even though he knew they were there, "Am I sitting on someone’s lap?"

He was completely unreasonable.

Feng Jiao said, "Yuheng! I’ve saved a seat for you over here."

"Don’t disturb me while I’m playing my game! The signal is good right here!" Tan Yuheng couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to Feng Jiao; just a subordinate of his grandfather, of no authority over him.

Feng Jiao indeed didn’t dare to be too assertive with him, regardless of the problem being significant or not, it’s always hardest dealing with someone else’s child.

She felt a headache coming on; if this little tyrant caused a scene, it would be the children opposite him who suffered.

"Xiaoqi and Fang Ting, right?" Feng Jiao had just heard their names and said, "Take your friend and move over to auntie’s side."

Xiaoqi and Fang Ting were quick to pick up on cues and promptly moved to change seats.

Jiang Yunxuan, on the other hand, waved his hand and said to Tan Yuheng, "What game is so important to you?"

"You wouldn’t understand even if I told you."

Jiang Yunxuan leaned in to take a look anyway and clicked his tongue, "You’re proud to show off this rank in front of me?"

Tan Yuheng, always proud, couldn’t take such a remark lying down.

He shook the screen of his mobile, "Let me see yours then!"

"Need to see? With your skills, why not just play a round and you’ll know?" Jiang Yunxuan pulled out his phone and deftly opened one of the apps.

Speaking of playing games, the proof would be in the gaming session, and Tan Yuheng started without further ado.

Feng Jiao’s already anxious heart grew even more so.

If Tan Yuheng lost the game, wouldn’t he turn everything upside down?

She had seen this child’s temper before.

Because Director Tan spoilt him to the point of being lawless, and as Director Tan was the head of their department, no one was willing to cross him; they all tried to appease Tan Yuheng.

If, later on, Tan Yuheng lost the competition and there was no one to calm the situation, what would they do?

Jiang Zhe had received a call from Dean Kang, who inquired about Xiaoqi and Fang Ting’s wellbeing, fearing they would trouble Jiang Zhe.

Jiang Zhe spoke a few words and then hung up the phone, returning just to see his spot taken.

Seeing Jiang Yunxuan talking to the child, Jiang Zhe didn’t pay much attention, but she noticed Feng Jiao was on the phone.

It was Tan Madam, the wife of Director Tan, that Feng Jiao was calling, "Madam Tan, Yuheng came down to eat alone without anyone to accompany him? I’m worried about the child being by himself. The wind is strong this morning, and he’s not dressed warmly enough. Alright, I’ll keep an eye on him until you come down."

Jiang Zhe took another look at her.

After Feng Jiao finished the call and saw Jiang Zhe, she reminded her softly, "You brought these kids here, right?"

"Mm."

"The kid across from us, he has quite a temper. His family isn’t easy to provoke. Later on, I’ll try to hold him off as long as I can. You should take the opportunity to leave with your brother and sisters."

Jiang Zhe’s eyebrows slightly raised as she recognized the kid across from them as Tan Yuheng.

She hadn’t specifically remembered other people’s faces and names, but it was in the information given by Qin He, mentioning this particular child.

It was probably because of the child’s notorious reputation that the information advised Jiang Zhe to keep her distance from him if she wanted to get things done.

Only then did Jiang Zhe take another look and remembered his identity and appearance.

It seemed that Feng Jiao was trying to defuse a crisis for the kids.

However, Feng Jiao was just a subordinate of Director Tan, and for her to intervene to this extent was quite commendable.

Jiang Zhe nodded, "Thank you."

After Feng Jiao made arrangements for the parents on both sides, she could only wait and see what would happen.

Children’s matters are the hardest to manage, especially when there are many of them, and it’s hard to know which ones to discipline.

Having finished speaking, Jiang Zhe sat down next to Tan Yuheng’s position.

Feng Jiao was taken aback for a moment; Jiang Zhe didn’t seem to be there to solve the problem, but rather leisurely sat down on the side.

But remembering that she didn’t know much about Tan Yuheng, Feng Jiao couldn’t expect her to take her advice to heart.

She could only hope that if a real fuss started, she’d handle more of it herself and let Jiang Zhe take the other kids away first.

In no time at all, Feng Jiao heard Tan Yuheng shout, "I really lost!"

Usually, at this point, Tan Yuheng would flip the table and throw the stool, creating a huge scene.

Feng Jiao’s fingers were clenched tight.

However, to her surprise, Tan Yuheng just shouted that one line and then immediately followed with, "Let’s do it again!"

"No more." Jiang Yunxuan was about to put away his phone.

"One more time, please, just once more," Tan Yuheng grabbed his wrist.

"Alright, alright, one more time, but no sore losers, okay?" Jiang Yunxuan said.

Tan Yuheng nodded vigorously.

The battle began anew.

Jiang Zhe slowly sipped her soy milk, picked up a fried dough stick, tore it apart, and put it into her mouth.

Feng Jiao was stunned; what was going on? Tan Yuheng actually didn’t lose his temper?!

Has the sun risen from the west?

After a while, the noble and elegant Madam Tan came downstairs, accompanied by a nanny who was carrying a coat, and they entered the buffet area.

Feng Jiao greeted her with a smile, "Madam Tan."

"Thanks to your reminder, I realized Yuheng came down on his own." Madam Tan exchanged pleasantries, "I also came down for breakfast while I’m at it."

"Yuheng is playing with some kids over there, and it seems they are getting along quite well," said Feng Jiao, trying to set the expectation that if Tan Yuheng caused trouble later, Madam Tan wouldn’t be too protective, so as not to frighten the innocent children.

Madam Tan nodded, clearly uninterested in those children; she only glanced over and said, "Yuheng, you’re playing games early in the morning, which is bad for the eyes. Come, go eat something with grandma first."
