Chapter 84: SCHEDULE OF THEIR DEPARTURE
Chapter 84: SCHEDULE OF THEIR DEPARTURE
"Hey, I’m sorry. I was busy all day," Natalie said in a voice filled with regret and sadness as she talked to Terrence over the phone.
Her heart was pounding. It was already late at night when she could check her phone. That’s the only time she saw the messages from Terrence.
"Nah. It’s fine," Terrence answered plainly. He wasn’t interested in what Natalie was about to say tonight.
"Terrence," Natalie mentioned Terrence’s name in a soft voice. She knew that Terrence must have seen the pics on the internet. She wanted to explain what happened, but with the tone of his voice, Terrence seemed uninterested in hearing her.
"Natalie," Terrence replied back. His voice was somewhat cold. He wasn’t expressing any emotions as he called back her name.
"I’m sorry," Natalie expressed her sorry. She bit her lips when silence ensued between them. She hasn’t heard any reply from Terrence after her words.
"It was just a simple lunch, I swear. I didn’t even know that they were there." Natalie tried to explain her side. "The pictures that were circulating around did not mean anything."
"I know that. Don’t worry, I’m not mad." Terrence answered as he took a deep breath. "It’s late already, Natalie. You should probably sleep and rest."
"Terrence, don’t do this..." Natalie’s heart pounded faster. Even though Terrence said that he wasn’t mad at all, the tone of his voice spoke otherwise.
"I’m really fine, Natalie." Terrence made his voice sound cheerful. "I’m worried since it’s 11 in the evening already. You also need some sleep. It must be a tiring day for you."
Natalie slowly nodded, understanding what Terrence meant.
"But are we fine? You’re not mad or anything?" Natalie asked with an unsure voice. Before she dropped the call, she wanted to make sure that they were fine.
"Yes, we are fine, and no, I am not mad," Terrence answered, even though he knew himself that he was slightly disappointed that Natalie couldn’t even message him about it.
But, oh well, he was confident enough that no man could take Natalie away from him.
With what Terrence answered, a smile appeared on Natalie’s face. She sighed out of relief.
"I missed you the whole day. I got so busy that I instantly went to bed when I came home." Natalie shared her day.
She knew she needed to sleep already, but talking to Terrence helped her relax.
"What did you do the whole day?"
Natalie pouted her lips as she rolled over the bed. She hugged the pillow beside her.
"I went to a business meeting with my father. And oh right, I heard that your sister was part of the top class. I saw the list earlier when it was sent to my dad."
With what Natalie mentioned, a smile also appeared on Terrence’s lips. "Yup. We received the news earlier. We were able to talk to Abigail for a couple of minutes."
Talking about what happened earlier put a bright smile on Terrence’s face. Even though it was only for a short period of time, they were able to talk a lot.
As they ate together earlier, Terrence thought that it was as if nothing had changed. Rather, their dinner became even better. It became lively since all of them were actively talking to each other.
"That was good to hear!" Natalie was genuine as she expressed her happiness about it. She knew how much Terrence valued his family.
"Oh, right. Have you passed the folder back to your uncle? I went there earlier, and Fredrick said you didn’t pass by him."
"Yup. Uncle James gave him the folder." Natalie sighed. She was thankful that James did the errand for her despite not being there.
"Did he give you any update? I’m still waiting for one."
Even though Terrence wouldn’t see it, Natalie shook her head before answering, "Nope." She answered.
"Ohh. It must be taking a while since it was just yesterday." Terrence thought of it.
Of course, even though Fredrick was the head, there were still some legal procedures that he needed to take note of and be mindful of before making a move.

However, as if Fredrick was listening to their talk right now, both Natalie and Terrence received a message from Fredrick at the same time.
Terrence automatically opened the message notification, and so was Natalie. The two of them read the content of the message silently.
[Fredrick: It will take place in 2 days, for 4 days and 3 nights. Make sure to pack enough stuff. Let’s meet here at the police station.]
As Terrence read the message’s contents, he was surprised by how fast it was. Scrap what he said earlier. It seems like Fredrick managed to do everything quickly.
"Did you also receive the same message?" Natalie asked after reading its contents.
"Yep," Terrence answered. "It’s really time for us to sleep now," he uttered.
Terrence needed to inform his parents first since he would be gone for 4 days. He knew that it might be a long talk.
He hasn’t said anything to his parents yet regarding his involvement in the case. He knew that they would be surprised once they learned about it.
"Alright. It’s also getting late," Natalie smiled. "Goodbye, Terrence. Have a good sleep."
"Have a good sleep too. Goodnight," Terrence replied before the call dropped.
When he was done, he set aside his phone to the side. He did not know how to bring up this topic with his parents.
They will undoubtedly express their unwillingness for him to be involved in this matter. However, it was already too late for that.
Terrence sighed. He cleared out the thoughts that were actively circulating in his head. He would just problem that tomorrow, once he was in the situation.
For now, what he needs was a good and deep sleep.
Terrence knew that the days ahead of him would be chaotic and busy. He just hoped that nothing dangerous would come.
