Chapter 55: AN ATTACK (2)

"Fuck" Terrence cursed out loud when the man attacked him out of a sudden.

"Agkkkk!"

The man created a weird noise as he pounded on Terrence. He was so strong despite his light and frail body. The sudden impact caused Terrence to fall to the ground. On top of him was the man.

Terrence’s forehead creased when he got to see what the man looked like.

He saw that the man had reddish eyes. There were light green veins surrounding his pupils. The man had big eye bags. His face looked dry and pale. There were traces of wounds and blood on his cheeks, and his lips were flaky and dry.

The man’s hands were shaking uncontrollably. There were specks of dirt and dried-up wounds on his hands.

"Fuck," Terrence muttered a curse when the man on top of him started to move as if wanting to kill him. The man was pushing his body and reaching his neck to choke him.

Hell no that he will just let this man choke him to death.

Terrence resisted the force that was being put on him. He took a deep breath, and as he exhaled, he gathered his strength in his arms and pushed the man away from his body.

It was hard since the man kept on moving around. And even though he wasn’t heavy, he was strong.

Terrence didn’t know where and how the man got such strength despite his body. If you look at him, you would certainly think that he lacked nutrition.

Police officers ran towards Terrence. They hurried when they saw what was happening.

"Get off him!" A loud shout echoed. It came from Natalie, who was genuinely worried about Terrence.

This caused the man to be distracted by the loud sound. He stopped moving and looked at where he heard the voice.

When Terrence saw an opening, he pushed the man off his body with full force. It was now much easier since he wasn’t moving.

"Shit," Terrence cursed as he quickly stood up after successfully getting away. It took him an effort just to get away.

The man in front of him fell to the ground by the hard push. Since Terrence was stronger than him, he was pushed meters away from Terrence.

The man fell and stumbled on a rock, hitting his arms with a medium-sized spiky stone. However, despite it, the man didn’t mind if there was a wound or a slight blood on his arms.

He stood up as if not feeling pain.

"Arghhhhhkkkk!" The man loudly shouted. His eyes darkened. He was about to launch another attack on Terrence when the police officers took hold of him.

Terrence tilted his head to the side. Although he could fight the man, he was relieved by it. It was because he knew that he might do something wrong to protect himself if the man attacked him any further.

He did not want to do that since he was curious about the man. Curious about what happened to him or if he was the one who killed the body earlier.

A few police officers surrounded the man. It took them a lot of time just to get a hold of him firmly, as they were having a hard time handcuffing him. He was moving and strongly resisting.

"Arghhkkk! Lehtttt goohh Hrghhhhh! keLLlL!" The man continued to resist as he shouted a few words in a hoarse voice.

"Oh my! Terrence!"

Terrence was watching the man when he heard a sudden voice, causing him to look at the side.

Natalie quickly ran to Terrence as she got nearer. She didn’t mind if her voice was loud when she called for his name just now.

"Nat—"

"Are you fine?" Natalie asked, cutting off Terrence’s words. She placed her hands on Terrence’s shoulders and moved him around to check if he had any wounds on his body.

"Natalie—"

Terrence was about to speak when Natalie cut his words again.

"You scared me! I thought... I thought something would happen to you!" Natalie exclaimed. There were tears in her eyes. Her hands were trembling as he reached for Terrence’s hands.

Terrence smiled. He chuckled before nodding his head. "I am fine, Natalie. Stop crying now." He uttered when he saw how Natalie’s eyes watered as she looked at him. He firmly held Natalie’s hands.

This made Natalie tear up even more. "Don’t be like this again! Don’t just go somewhere! Look at what happened to you." She complained and scolded at the same time. There was a heavy burden in her heart.

She was so scared earlier. She felt how her heart pounded as she watched how the man ran towards Terrence— how Terrence was attacked. God knows how scared she was earlier.

It was one of the scariest moments in her life.

Fortunately, when she shouted, it caught his uncle and his co-worker’s attention. They instantly rushed towards Natalie to ask what was wrong, but when they saw the scene, they were horrified.

They quickly ran to back up and protect not only Terrence but also the man. Almost all of them went for aid as they saw how serious it was.

Meanwhile, the few who didn’t join called for paramedics and more people.

They had to do a thorough check on the whole place.

Terrence nodded as an answer. He comforted Natalie as she cried lightly. "I won’t. Don’t worry." Terrence repeatedly said to assure Natalie.

Natalie looked at Terrence in doubt, but she slowly calmed down with his assurance. When Terrence saw it, he smiled.

"You’re okay now?" he asked with a smile on his face.

Natalie nodded slowly. "I am..." she answered in a low voice.

When Terrence saw that Natalie was not lying, he nodded.

"But don’t really do that again in the future, Terrence," Natalie added.

She didn’t want to experience that kind of feeling again.

"Yes," Terrence answered.

Terrence glanced again at the police officers who were on the side. They successfully handcuffed the man.

Sighing, Terrence tilted his head to the side.

A lot had happened today.
