Chapter 53: Sera Tanaka, Half Angel? by Harem-Fan

     Slap~! With a hint of disappointment, Rias slapped pretty-boy Kiba, who had no anger about it...

     "What do you think you're doing Kiba? You're putting your fellow Peerage members in harm's way... You haven't been able to even pay attention to anything going on around you?!"

"I'm only upset with you, because this may cause you and others harm if you can't focus. At least tell me what is wrong, so I can help you..."

     I can tell Rias is upset, and she only slapped him because he was hardly listening to her concerns... 

     Not to mention a slap like that can't even hurt a Devil.

     In the anime I thought the slap after that fight, which hasn't happened for some reason, was a bit harsh...

     But when I saw everything that led up to it... I may have hit him too.

     I guess an anime can't show everything for better context... but what is up with no Stray Devil fight, or the Familiar Forest?

     Also the tennis match that was supposed to be a doubles match with Akeno and Tsubaki?

     I'm really confused, and think I am in an AU version of the anime.

     While they are having their Master and Servant talk, I, on the other hand, am secretly performing a vet checkup on the troublesome kitty in my lap.

     I didn't have time to heal her injuries sustained in the clinic battle.

     So I'm currently using my healing magic on Koneko, while she is in my lap.

     Her body has relaxed a bit after, so she must have pushed herself during the battle with my lollipop.

     She whispered to me, while watching Kiba's grilling.

     "Sorry Big Brother, for leaving like that... I panicked."

     I just whispered back.

     "You're a good cat-girl."

     Kiba just said to Rias.

      "I'm truly Sorry President, I'm just having a rough day. I will try and clear it up...."

     Kiba does feel sorry, but all of his suppressed feelings are just flooding back.

     Poor Rias is having a tough time understanding, because Kiba put a lid on it for so long.

     "President, I think I need a few days off to clear my head, alright?"

     Rias just said.

     "Alright, but try and get some rest... Call if you need anything from me."

     As Kiba was passing me, I subtly handed him a note...

     He paused, then kept going out of the club-room.

     Koneko asked me.

     "What was that for?"

     "Just told him I was mauled by a fierce tigress, and I loved it!"

     Pinch~! I of course won a pinch to my leg, but Koneko trusted me enough to not ask.

     Damn she is cute, and now I am proud of the bulge under her!

     She almost had a smile peak through her emotionless mask!

     A while later...

     Click~! Both Sona and Tsubaki had entered and asked Rias to meet them tonight to talk.

     This must be about meeting the Church Exorcist girls... Irina Shidou and Xenovia Quarta.

     Sona looks at me, and I say...

     "Sona, don't worry about your two guests. Their mouths can be sharp. but they are both good girls and won't harm us... The real enemy is now in Kuoh Town."

     A couple in the room think I'm from the future, and the rest think I'm a seer, so no one really questioned my hidden words.

     But Sona just smiled and said.

     "Now my worries are gone, thanks Matsuda!"

     Why does she seem to be softer around me since I started my relationship with Tsubaki?

     Maybe she just cares that much for her Queen?

     If I was drunk and would have seen her act like this to me... I don't know if I would have Pawn changed?

     No, the cat-girl in my lap is proof I did the right thing!

     Walking home, I thought about what I could remember from the anime I had not seen for nearly 25 years...

     I'm wondering if Issei has met his childhood friend yet or not?

     Was it yesterday, today, or tomorrow?

     Should I go to his house?

     I decided to drop by... It isn't late, and in the anime it was dark when they dropped by I believe.

     So I told Asia next to me.

     "I will be going to Issei's house to say hi to Aunt and Uncle Hyoudou for a bit. So just cook supper with Mom. I will text if I will miss dinner or not, love you."

     Of course, like a good Wife, she did it with no problem.

     I ran to Issei's home, as it was starting to turn darker...

     I think I made it!?

     Knock Knock~! So I just knocked and Issei's Mom opened the door.

     "Matsuda dear, how are you? Come in. It seems today is a busy day for guests."

     She is just as warm as she was depicted in the show and has been like a second Mom to me and Motohama.

     We are, or were, Issei's only male friends.

     I just said or asked her.

     "Auntie, thanks for having me. I guess I beat Issei home?"

     "Yes Mat, and an old childhood friend has stopped by to meet him!"

     She led me into the living room, and on the opposite couch sat two attractive girls dressed in white robes...

     My eyes started to heat up a bit when I saw one of them.

     Next to Irina Shidou, was a girl with short blue hair with a dyed strip of green, and she happened to notice my entrance.

     She was none other than Xenovia Quarta, who I saw in my dream... but this one has clothes on!

     I couldn't breathe for a moment when I saw her...

     "This is Issei's best friend, Matsuda Tanaka, and Mat. These girls are..."

     I unintentionally cut off my Auntie and muttered.

     "Irina Shidou and Xenovia Quarta..."

     Of course everyone heard my mutter.

     "Oh, You have heard of us already?"

     Irina isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, and didn't outright find it weird that a Devil knew her name so easily.

     Unlike Issei and Asia in the show, I don't feel the chill from their holy swords at their sides, or exposed crosses... thankfully or this could be bad.

     "Yes, a friend of mine at school met you today... Sona is Issei's school President!"

     Little did I know, only Tsubaki spoke to them and not Sona.

     "Here catch..."

     Xenovia took off something from her neck, and then tossed me something small.

     Grasp~! I caught it easily, and looked... It is a silver cross on a plain silver chain...

     It's still warm, and smells girly, was she wearing it inside her battle-suit?!

     Irina, her partner, seemed to think I would burst into flame or something.

     I just asked.

     "Was this yours, Xenovia?"

     She nods in the affirmative, so I just kiss it, then put it on my neck and tuck it in, it smelled good.

     I grinned at Irina's dumbfounded face, and said.

     "Thank you for the gift, I will thank God every-time I hold it, amen!"

     I just give them my shit eating grin, because my cheats are awesome!

     Well, in a month or so... everyone will learn this anyway.

     Irina just looked stupefied at this casual as fuck display.

     Xenovia just asked.

     "So, do you remember meeting me in the castle?"

     I just froze stiff with my eyes wide...

     Fuck, fuck, fuck, what is this?

     I can't understand...

     Xenovia just got up and then stood in front of me looking down into my surprised eyes.

     I feel no malice or hatred in her eyes.

     Xenovia then got on both knees, put her hands together, and began praying!

     Yup, Issei's Mom, Irina, and I are just dumbfounded.

     I try lifting her shoulders up, but she won't budge.

     I then say, to the other ladies.

     "Ante and Miss Shidou, can Xenovia and I have a moment... We've met before, and we need to talk, sigh..."

     I gave a pathetic smile, because I don't know what to say here.

     Both women just stupidly went to the kitchen, then I looked at Xenovia with exhaustion in my voice...

     "Sigh, Xenovia, you need to stop praying in front of a Devil, the Church will kick you out, please. I'm feeling super uncomfortable with the looks they were giving me... Plus, few people know of my past."

     Xenovia just looked up into my face and said.

     "I knew it wasn't just a dream, but a vision from God."

     She then launched at me, with a tight hug around my waist... and she was crying?!

     Mofu Mofu~! I just awkwardly pat her hair and her back, and whisper to her.

     "Sorry about that... Grayfia and Asia were there too. Grayfia the Devil that flew with you, witnessed the dream 500 years ago, and Asia had the dream when she prayed in the old church a few months ago. As for me..."

"My Human dream was a year ago, and my Devil dream was about half a year ago when I died... I think? How about you?"

     I can see the shock in her eyes, of the time and space disparity.

     Xenovia is a smart airhead, and she grasps a lot of hard concepts, but can't apply them well.

     "Last night in front of the statue of your past self. I prayed to God then and well you know... I wasn't sure this Issei I was going to meet was that evil demon, or as you said he was an imposter of your friend. If he was that demon I would try and kill him."

     Holy fuck, I just sweat drop hearing her!

     Good thing for Issei, I came!

     At that moment, Issei rushed into his house in a panicky state, and he saw me holding a kneeling hot Church-girl in my arms, and we both just looked at him...

     I hold Xenovia still, to reassure her he is a friend!

     "Cough, Hello bro! Your Mom is currently talking to your hot childhood friend in the kitchen, so ignore this situation, I can't and won't explain to you. You know the bro code, right? Now run into the kitchen fast!"

     Xenovia just watches Issei go from panic to happiness in less than a second, and he teleports into the kitchen!

     I just smile at the girl still holding my waist for some reason.

     "Here let me help you up. There are 2 things to know... 1st, I have no memory of 2000 years ago... 2nd, if you continue to hug me with the sexiest battle-suit in all my lives, I don't know how pure my head can stay!"

     I would have her wear that outfit even in bed if I could!

     Just always thought it looked hot on her the most.

     How can the Church send her hot ass outside in that?

     It will make Angels fall for damn sake!

     Xenovia then noticed what I meant, and released me.

     I then put my hand out to her and said...

     "Come with me for a moment!"

     She took my hand and we went out back...

     Buzz Hum~! I then set up a magic barrier to hide what we are doing...

     Don't want her partner Irina  to freak out.

     I then say to Xenovia.

     "Bring out your Holy Sword, Durandal please."

     She then begins to unlock the sword from her pocket space, no questions asked?

     Why is she not afraid I would do something?

     I can't figure her out, and I probably know her better than anyone!

     Buzz Clank Clank~! As the Durandal emerges, the chains binding it begin to snap.

     Just as she was about to grab it by its handle, I said.

     "No need, I can handle him..."

     She does look surprised, because she knows how dangerous the Durandal is, and its temperament, but...

     Shing~! I just grasp the Durandal in one-hand, and pull it from its holding circle, and place my left-hand on the flat of the blade.

     This well known Holy Blade was first used by the French Paladin Roland, then by the Exorcist Vasco Strada.

     I talked to the Holy Sword, now used by the naturally born Holy Sword wielder, Xenovia.

     "Durandal, how are you? I need your help, my friend! Xenovia here, your current wielder, is an important person to me. I need you to obey her needs... She will help me stop a disaster soon, and only with your strength, can she give me the aid I need. Can you please do this for me?"

     The Durandal's golden sharp edge, then flickered in a pattern, as if it was talking...

     I could somewhat understand it would help her, as long as she didn't wield it against me!

     I then told Durandal.

     "Thank you friend!"

     I passed the blade to Xenovia, handle first, and she just stupidly took it in disbelief.

     Who the fuck can just ask holy swords to be friendly. (One of Mat's Past lives.)

     Sure there are beast tamers, but sword tamers... Only the Son of God could do that, right?

     She can feel the acceptance of the Durandal, as if they were one being.

     I just smiled at her cute expressions.

     Xenovia just puts the sword away, and runs into my arms crying again?

     Is she a crying machine?

     "I... I have struggled for so long with him. And you blessed me... Thank you, Matsuda!"

     I just don't know what to say, other than...

     "Um, You're still hugging a Devil, and your partner will see us. So no need to thank me. But I will need your help! My guess is that is why we met in my trial, just for this battle with Kokabiel. We need to stop the next great 3 way war!"

     Xenovia's eyes opened wide!

     I remembered how ready she was to die for the Church in the anime, so I told her.

     "Xenovia, you aren't allowed to commit suicide... Take it from a man that is intimate with dying. It isn't serving God... It is suicide. So don't let me see you talk about sacrifice ever again... It will hurt me!"

     She just grins at me and says...

     "I don't think a Devil should care about others, that is silly, right? Unless you're actually an Angel in disguise, haha."

     Xenovia seems to be fucking with me, and I'm blushing?

     "Xenovia... When you meet Asia and my Peerage tomorrow, please be nicer... The other you went super overboard. and everyone hated you. I would rather everyone like you. Also Devils, the Fallen Angels, Humans, and Angels are seen equally in the eyes of my Father. We are all equally capable of love, kindness, evil, and hate. So just keep an open heart, so take this from a former Human..."

     I just smiled at Xenovia, and hoped she understood at least part of it.

     At this point Issei and his childhood friend Irina, came out to see us just talking like old friends.

     And they both didn't know what to say...

     "Matsuda, I'm glad I met you in this dark time of my life. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!"

     Xenovia then walks closer, and touches her silver cross under my shirt, and smiles brightly.

     Mwah~! Unexpectedly, she then gives me a kiss on the lips!

     Seeing my stunned face, Xenovia smirks, and jokes.

     "So, you prefer me with my battle-suit over me naked, haha? You're a great Devil!"

     Xenovia just waves for her stupefied partner to follow.

     I licked my lips, she kissed, and watched her sexy hips walk away...

     Outside of Issei's home...

     Irina yells at Xenovia!

     "Why did you kiss a Devil? The Church will kick you out, Xenovia?!" 

     Irina, her partner, can't believe this craziness.

     The Devil hater just switched her taste in men in 10 minutes!

     Xenovia just shrugged.

     "I fell to the temptation of that Devil! And the Church won't forgive me, but God will..."

     She just walks the dark streets, like a maiden in love...

     Back at Matsuda's house at bath-time...

     I received a magic-circle from Kalawarna, while I was relaxing.

     "Hello my beautiful Angel, I have been missing you something fierce!"

     [Oh? Is that so? Well I was super busy last night working hard for you, so I want a better I love you than that, or no gift for you, haha.]

     "Mrs. Kala Tanaka, my Heavenly Goddess, please accept my fully charged... I love you Dear! Does that pass?"

     I just smile at her jokes.

     [Well Mat, I will declare that you my love, are now the proud Father of... Sera Tanaka, the Half Angel!]

     "Holy cow! I'm now a dad? I love you both so much, and when it is possible, I want to hold my girls. I feel full in my heart right now. Is she healthy? Are you alright? How is it there? Do I need to adjust Heaven for you two? I... I can ascend?!"

     [Do nothing you idiot! Everything is perfect. I will come before the baby does... give her some time to grow in Heaven for a bit. It is good for her health...]

[Everyone here loves her... And for all that is pure, don't touch the system... Poor Mike is still looking pale from what you did last time, hah! I need to rest now, so I will sleep... Love you, Mat, bye.]

     Damn I'm a Father again!

     "Thanks Big G, I'm very happy!"

     I rubbed the silver cross around my neck with a weird smile on my expression...
