Chapter 71: Mystic Lion IV

A 2 v1 battle. Tim had the option of ending the battle easily by making his summons fight for him, but he did no want to spoil his fun.

The mere fact that he could summon the undead did not mean that he would just sit around and watch his summons fight. That was not his vision. He also wanted to be involved in a lot of high-stake battles.

"Little lions. Is that all you got.

I already know your pattern of attack and there is no way that I am going to let me strike me any longer." Tim said, as he pointed his sword towards the lions.

He could not use aura energy that Idah could use because he had not trained himself to use it. Alternatively, he could just use Death Embrace of Idah and use it, but he did not want to do that.

He wanted to learn the way of a battle sage without the aid of the necromancer skill.

The lions once again accelerated towards Tim. He had been running his mouth and it actually provoked them.

Tim’s eyes widened because of the speed that the lions used to close the distance between them. It was a ridiculously fast speed.

BAM BAM

Tim with his sword deflected 2 tail strikes from the lions and at the same time leaped back in an effort to create space.

The lions seeing that Tim wanted to create space between then opened their mouths simultaneously and shot out massive fireballs.

FOO!

The fireball accelerated like a bullet with Tim just being 3 meters from the lions.

Gritting his teeth for potential impact, in the split second that the attack almost reached Tim. Tim double casted his burrowed Wind Barrage spell.

And in that same split second, he managed to move his body just enough for him to escape the impact of the fireball attacks.

BOOM!

The fireballs crashed once again destroying the environment. Luckily for the environment, there was heavy snow and the temperature in general did not let the fire spread out.

It quenched the fire seconds after it was casted.

"Damn. Why is there a fire breathing lion in a winter forest. It doesn’t just make any sense." Tim cursed, as he had minor burns on his face, but they7 started to heal slowly.

As Tim was about to rebalance himself, his danger sense perceive skill activated and Tim did not need anyone to tell him why it activated.

Without looking at the very source of the danger, Tim evaded to his right. Immediately after he evaded. He saw what he had just evaded.

It was a pounce from the lions. If there was one thing that Tim knew. It was that he could never allow a beast of such caliber pounce on him.

The sheer weight of the beast itself could mash him into a thin piece of paper, not to talk about the other possible harm that would befall him if he was captured.

The most spells that he could cast now consecutively was 2. He did not have mana, so he did not have a gauge of if his mana reserves were getting low.

But one thing that he had as a gauge was his stamina. The moment he attempts to use 3 spells at the same time. His body would lose a massive amount of stamina. And without stamina, there is no energy and without energy he was prey to the predators.

"I want to combine 4 spells together, but that is going to ruin my stamina. It is like there is a restriction to the number of spells that I can cast consecutively.

That does not matter. I just need to merge 2 powerful spells together. Fireball." Tim concluded, as he casted a fireball spell.

Unlike the fireball that he manipulated previously, the fireball he casted this time just emanated right in front of him and went towards the lions immediately.

Tim almost gave himself a knock for wasting the spell.

Surprisingly, his fireball was swatted by the huge paw of one of the lions.

"Great. These son of b*ches see my fireball spell as irrelevant. Well, I don’t blame them. Compared to the level of firepower that their own produces, mine is like child’s play.

Tim casted another fireball spell, but this time he did not release it. Instead, he stretched the flames with his burrowed fire manipulation knowledge and allowed the flame to rotate around the sword.

"I wonder, what is fire plus intense wind. I know I did this back in school. Why don’t we figure out the result." Tim said, as he dashed towards the lions with his sword that seemed to be partly engulfed by rotating flames.

The lions, seeing Tim closing in on them, opened there mouth once more and activated their massive fireball skill. FOO!

The huge balls of flames shot towards Tim, who was also nearing them.

This time, Tim had no intention of evading the attack. He was going to face it head on. He decided to take a risk and try a theory that had a live span of about 7 seconds.

As the massive balls of flames neared Tim. He raised his partly flaming sword and brought it down with a powerful vertical swing. It was not just a regular vertical swing. The swing that he made use of this time had an additional ingredient.

As he was swinging his sword downwards, he simultaneously released his most powerful spell, Gale Smash.

Immediately, a strong wave of wind with flames intertwined shot forwards towards the incoming fireball and cleanly chopped the incoming attack that was coming his way.

Tim almost jumped in joy when he saw that his improvised attack actually dispersed the attack, but he couldn’t. he had not finished the job.

Pressing his feet deep against the ground he accelerated towards the lions once again. The flames of the fireball had gone due to Tim casting the powerful wind spell.

Tim neared the lion and performed a direct stab towards the head of one of the lions, but his attacks were blocked by the flexible and sturdy tails of the lions.
