Chapter 70: Mystic Lion III

Tim still needed to retrieve his blade, but at the moment. He resulted to using his backup weapons, the thorns.

He created another pair of thorns from his palms. From the texture and thickness of the thorns. Tim could already tell that the thorns had been through some sort of level up.

Although it was not a major level up, but Tim could tell that it was a bit better than the previous thorns that he created, back when he was in the no rank dungeon.

Walking towards the crash sites of the lions, with 2 long thorns in his hands. Tim looked like a final boss in a movie.

"What is it going to take to kill you dammed lions. There can only be one predator in this entire dungeon. And that predator is me."

Just as Tim finished his statement. A massive fireball appeared in front of Tim, and smashed into him.

BOOM!

Tim was hit hard like a wrecking ball and he was burnt by the scorching flames of the skill all at the same time.

BOOM BOOM

After crashing and forming a crater did Tim stop. He had not expected such an attack in all honesty. What majorly helped the attack was the dust that had risen at the crash site of the lions.

The dust that had risen, obstructed Tim vision, until it was almost too late. Fortunately for Tim, as the huge fireball was about to crash into him.

He double casted his Wind Wall spell, and at the same time placed the thorns in front of him, as another form of defense.

Tim was sure that if he did not level up twice, then the skill that just struck him would have knocked him out clean.

His endurance was the stat that saved him from the horrible damage that would have been dealt to him if his endurance were to be low.

"Hahaha. This is fun. It is too much fun if you ask me. A lion that shoots out a dangerous fireball. That is fierce. But if the fireball and the tail attack is the only threat in your arsenal then I doubt that you will make it out of this battle alive." Tim said, as he got up and conjured another pair of thorns.

As if they were provoked by Tim’s words, the other two lions accelerated towards Tim. From their heavy footsteps, one could think that it was multiple families of elephants that were rushing towards Tim.

The lions were heavy.

For once in the battle. Tim saw the lions lunge at him. with how heavy they sounded while they moving. Tim never wanted to ever experience the lions landing on him.

With his new heightened speed and dexterity. Tim evaded the attacks of the lions. But that was not all.

As Tim evaded them. The tail of the lions followed Tim up and attacked him.

But fortunately, Tim dodged them. Now that the lions, were closer to him. he decided to finish off the wounded lion that had refused to die.

He really needed to use his sword, and the lion also had to die. Gathering momentum. He casted his favorite sort of mobility spell, Wind Barrage.

The spell in addition to his boosted speed and acceleration. Tim reached the injured lion before the other lions could attack him.

On reaching the place where the injured lion was lying. He saw a pool of blood around the lion. From the amount of blood loss that the lion had received, Tim was surprised that the lion was not yet dead.

"Sorry, but I need you to turn to EXP for me ." Tim said, as he grabbed the sword by the handle and pushed it further into the skull of the lion. PUICHH!

A lot of blood was displaced from the head of the lion. It even stained Tim, but Tim was not worried, because he finally found the notification that he was looking for.

[Ding!]

[ Mystic Lion Killed]

[ +600EXP ]

[ Bonus for killing a Level 18 Mystic Lion -> 1200EXP]

[Dead Summon available -> Mystic Lion]

Tim smiled when he saw the notification. If he was not sure about his survival in the dungeon previously. Now he was super sure that he could survive the dungeon.

"So, you were a level 18 beast. Sadly for you, I was your opponent. Now it is tine for me to add your brothers to my rank." Tim said, as he hurriedly evaded to his right.

Immediately after, a scorching hot fireball passed by him. It was thanks to the danger sense passive skill that Tim could actually detect the attack.

But immediately he dodged the fireball attack, his danger sense rung again in his head. Because like a hammer smiting a nail.

The tail of the other lion smashed into Tim.

POOM!

Tim was flung by the mere force of the strike and he crashed head first into a massive boulder shattering it.

His head at the moment was spinning because of the damage that he had received. He wanted to complain about the pain that he was feeling, but he held back.

Why should he complain? This was the type of adventure that he had been wishing for. Now he had all his dreams come true. There was no complaining. There was only acceptance.

"I had always wished for this type of life. Now that I am experiencing it. It is only bad that I don’t have any earth viewers to share with. But that also is ok. I want to feel the thrill of battle.

I want to feel the thrill of fighting an opponent that is 10 times stronger than me.

I want to feel alive. And to achieve all that I need you 2 hot breath monsters to turn into EXP for me." Tim said, as he got out from the rubble that covered him.

He knew that he was going to win the battle, but he did not know how long it would take. His head was still spinning from the attack that he faced.
