Chapter 61: Snow Bane Wolf

A massive explosion occurred in the area. It was from the collision of the wolf and the aggressive aura that was sent it’s way.

Tim’s summons looked at the explosion site with caution. The snow wolf was the most difficult beast that they have battled in their years of hunting monsters.

Part of the caution was also due to the fact that their master was knocked out from the wolf’s attack, so they had to take out the beast in other to protect their master.

Silence greeted the once violent battlefield, as the summons waited for the wolf to rise up, but fortunately for them the wolf did not rise from the crater.

Instead, what rose from the crater was a pitch black smoke that immediately transported itself to Tim’s shadow.

[Ding!]

Tim’s eyes immediately opened wide the moment the loud notification rang in his head.

[ Snow Bane Wolf Killed]

[ +2000EXP]

[ Bonus for killing a Level 10 Snow Bane Wolf -> 600EXP]

[Bonus for killing a rare class beast -> +3000Exp]

[Dead Summon available -> Snow Bane Wolf]

Aside from the loud notification that woke him up, Tim was also frustrated due to headache that came with him regaining consciousness.

Looking at the notifications that appeared in front of, Tim’s eyes widened in shock.

’So much EXP.. wait was that wolf just a level 10 beast. A level 10 beast should not be that strong!

It took three people to bring it down, and if not for the poison that I inflicted it. I doubt we would have been able to walk out of this dungeon alive.’ Tim thought.

He was not joking when he thought that he would not have survived the battle. It was an unfair battle for the wolf in the first place because it was a 3 v 1 battle. If Tim included the undead that he used his Death Embrace on then it was a 8 v 1 battle.

Yet the wolf was still on the winning side. He just got lucky enough to be able to close the distance between him and his wolf which made him deposit the Acidic Spit directly into the open cut of the wolf.

After observing the battlefield for a while and seeing that there were no beasts around them, he relaxed.

He was still in pain from the previous battle, but the joy he had now superseded the pain that he was feeling.

He had just gotten a Snow Bane Wolf. He literally had no idea about the origins of the wolf, but one thing that he knew for sure, was that a rare beast was definitely better than a regular beats.

The system had given him bonus rewards for slaying a rare grade monster but the system never gave him such rewards for slaying a normal monster. That solidified his reasoning.

Another thing that amazed him was the notification that was hovering over Idah’s head.

[Do you want to name this Undead and unlock its evolution?]

He recognized the notification. He had received such when he was in his first no rank dungeon.

It was asking for him to name his undead so his undead could level up like he could. It was not like his undead could not receive EXP, they could but they could not level up like he could.

He previously did not name the horned snake because it did not just seem like the right thing to do.

Another reason was the fact that he did not know the specific number of times that he could name his undead. The system did not give him a limit to the number of undead that he could name, but he decided not to take any risk.

He could always find better and stronger candidates to give the privilege to.

Looking at Idah, he thought’ Idah looks like a better candidate on paper to give this evolution cheat code to, but their is nothing unique about him.

He is just a bandit that was unlucky enough to meet me. I will rather give this privilege to a strong and unique being. That way I will not feel bad if this evolution option is a limited skill.

He is better off with his human name and not some made up name.

No, I won’t name him.’

After Tim’s mental instruction, the notification disappeared from his sight. He did not feel bad in the slightest for the decision that he just made.

Getting up on his feet, Tim went over to pick up his sword. There was really no time to waste. He came into the dungeon for a specific reason and the reason was to kill Zou and possibly his guild members.

He was truly pissed about the event that happened previously. How could his loot be taken by another. It was frustrating for him because that was the wealth that he acquired after risking his life against Taz’s gang.

And yet that same loot that he got after wasting his sweat and blood was taken. It was an unforgivable offence and the punishment for such was eternal slavery.

That was Tim’s excuse, but deep down Tim knew that he was just looking for justifiable reasons to take their lives. Just so that they could become his loyal summon.

"Arise." Tim said with a grin.

The grin was because he was summoning his first rare beast. The same one that whopped him and his followers easily.

Immediately after the command, from the shadow that was emanating from him. The Snow Bane Wolf came out.

It came out with not a single form of scratch on it, and it was at its peak. Immediately after it was summoned, it howled loudly and bowed its head in absolute submission to Tim.

Tim was a bit surprised by the gesture that was given to him by the wolf. But he did not care fully.

He climbed onto the back of the wolf, and he dispelled Ottis and Idah. He did not really need them to ride with him on the wolf. Besides the wolf that was only at level 10 was far stronger than the both of them.
