Necromancer Supreme: I Can Use All The Skills Of My Summons -
Chapter 54: Zou II
Chapter 54: Zou II
Yes, obey your little master." Zou said, adding more fuel to the flames that had started in Tim’s heart.
Idah ignored him and brought out 8 pieces of silver for the 8 members of the group. This was the most that Tim could use to compensate the group.
It was something that he would never do in another scenario, but he was really trying his best to keep a low profile. He could not get into a fight or an argument in a large public building, so he just complied to Zou’s demands.
On a normal day, Zou would have collected such compensations, but after seeing the pouch of coins that Idah brought out from storage. Greed took a seat in his heart.
"I am very much afraid that the amount that you want to offer me is too small. You see, you called my guild weaklings in front of about 100 people.
That is defamation. You have tarnished the image of the Dawn keepers. You must fully compensate us by handing over your bag of coins. I promise you that we will leave you alone truly after we have received such compensation.
Look I am a man of my word!" Zou spoke with a deadly confidence.
’What the hell is going on. Am I being bullied? Why is this grown man being unbearable. System show me his stats.’
[Feature not available.]
’Shit. Show me his power level at least.’
[Feature not available.]
[basic power appraisal will be ready at level 15]
Tim almost choked on his breath when he saw the level he needed to reach to be able to even have a sense of his opponents strength.
’I thought it would unlock at level 5. Why is it 15 now?’ Tim asked in under a second in his mind, but no result was given to Tim.
He sighed again. How could he forget that his system was also restricted in a way.
Stepping forward, Tim spoke "I think you are asking for too much. You do not want to bear the consequences of you offending me."
"Ugh, the little one can actually speak up for himself." Samil spoke this time.
Tim quickly had a look at who spoke and he noticed Samil. He was wearing quite a number of rings and he also had a wand in his hand which was unusual.
He was a mage, at least that was what Tim could assume from the way Samil dressed.
"Why don’t we give you 20 pieces of silver and you let us go." Tim said, he was getting tired of the way Zou was treating them. But he still tried to settle the matter.
Zou suddenly placed his hand on Tim’s shoulder. He moved really fast, but Tim who had upgraded his speed and dexterity multiple times caught sight of his hands.
He could have dodged it gracefully but he did not want to stand out so he allowed the hand to be placed on his shoulder.
Immediately Zou’s hand landed on Tim’s shoulder, he almost lost all the air in his lungs. The hand was heavy, very heavy.
Tim did not think that one hand could be as heavy as it was right now. It felt as if a stone boulder was placed on his shoulder.
Zou smiled when he saw Tim struggle to remain standing. Tim’s facial expression said it all to Zou. It said the crucial information that he needed.
It was that Tim was still weak. he assumed that Tim was still at the apprentice stage, the Battle Sage state of power.
He had previously written off Tim as a mage because there was no single spec of mana that ran through Tim’s body or his outer body. He was like an opposite end of a magnet that kept pushing mana the other way around his body.
"You shall give us that bag of coins, or else... people might just find your body wasted in a dungeon. You know that what ever happens in a dungeon stays in a dungeon.
It will take my guild nothing to kill and dispose you in a dungeon. You will not be the first group of people that we have killed and disposed off because of their stubbornness.
Tim’s eyes widened when he heard what Zou said. ’What ever happens in a dungeon stays in a dungeon.’ He thought.
He really did not want to just go around and kill people aimlessly, but he might just be forced to do such when his life was threatened.
And what Zou did right now was to threaten him. A conclusion came to Tim’s mind. It was that Zou was a menace to society.
Nobody goes around killing people because they refused to be bullied or taken advantage off. And anyone that did that did not value his own life.
"Are you sure that is what you want? I keep grudges though. If you take this coin from me, then I also cannot guarantee what will happen to you inside a dungeon" Tim asked, as he stretched forth his hands signaling for Idah to hand over the bag of coins.
Zou laughed loudly. Tim was a funny one to him. he just finished threatening Tim and Tim had the nerve to threaten him back. If not that they were in the town and there was a strict rule of no fighting, hell would have broken loose.
The no fighting was enforced by the high mages and sages of the town but sometimes people do escape the rule by not getting caught.
" I do not care about your grudge * Zou said, as he snatched the bag of coins from Tim’s hands. * You should watch your back little boy. You do not know what might happen to you at any given time.
Just because you handed me the coins, don’t think that you are safe for me. Just pray to who ever you believe in that we don’t meet in a dungeon.
Guys let us go hunting!" Zou said, as his group left for a dungeon raid.
Seeing that the conflict was over people dispersed and went there way, but Tim was filled with anger.
"Follow them." Tim muttered in anger.
