Chapter 992: Chapter 359: I Will Not Bestow Evolution Upon You_3
William didn’t look back as he transformed into light and left, spear in hand, accelerating faster and faster, with the sharp tip vaguely aimed at Saina’s perky, protruding backside.
Wayne released his true nature.
Not the nature of a gay man, but the devilish nature within Viley.
Golden light pierced Saina’s figure, shattering layers of mirage-like broken space, as crystal shards fell scattered through the air. Saina emerged from a shard, her gaze one of contemptuous mockery, scorning the Sun Knight’s despicable tactic.
She reached into The Void and pulled out the Elemental Mantra Greatsword, its surging vitality coursing through her body, forming a white Life Armor upon attachment.
Judging solely by the white Greatsword and Armor, showing not even a hint of green, one could surmise that the Nature Goddess was not content with merely being a green, elf-like deity; "Life" in the Life Alliance was what she truly coveted.
And it was quite possible that she was already near the end of this path!
In the high sky, the three of them stood off, with Saina exerting an imposing presence, justified in her self-pride.
It wasn’t by scheming that she could wreak havoc in the Inverted World, going undefeated to this day, but through the overpowering strength that bulldozed everything in her path.
Surging Magical Tide washed over her, forming an ocean around Saina, so vast in scale that it eclipsed a large part of the sky.
A blue glow cast dreamlike illusions upon the ground, where the wind carried a touch of coolness.
Elemental Mantra stood horizontal in Saina’s grip, summoning the Four Elements to her call. Apart from the Fire Element, which stubbornly clung to Wayne, unwilling to submit to discipline, the other Three Elements willingly obeyed the Elemental Mantra’s command and direction.
Saina glanced at Wayne with puzzlement. The Moonlight Knight held a stronger affinity for the elements than the Sun Knight, an anomaly she had never encountered nor heard of before.
Wayne exuded strangeness from every pore; Saina, wary of protracted struggles, immediately took decisive action. Her vast Magic Power reshaped her thoughts of the Four Elements’ forms, and with the Elemental Mantra enhancing her, a mere thought was enough to alter the surrounding world.
Magic challenged the inevitability of 1+1=2; it was the Mage’s own thought projection, manifesting in various forms to change the world.
Yet in terms of truly changing the world, even Legendary Mages couldn’t accomplish that; they could only create a false world within the Life Force Field.
The Elemental Mantra made this possibility a reality, commanding the Four Elements to transmute energy into matter, enabling Saina to minimally invest her thoughts and maximally influence reality.
Like an excellent problem-solver, given a lever of a formula, she could move the whole world.
To use an imperfect analogy, it was like someone throwing a brick with great force; when Saina threw hers, her wrist imparted a spin to it, allowing the brick to fly even further.
If someone could break through and leave the Inverted World as a victorious Demigod, it would likely be her alone.
"It’s a pity, you could have been even stronger, if only you could let go of your desire for power..."
Wayne muttered to himself, gesturing to William, conjuring a Moonlight Longsword in his hand and drawing an arrow on the bow aimed at the Elemental Sea.
William, transforming into golden light, plunged into the sea of tides and at the moment of reformation, a mini golden sun expanded into a massive sphere.
With a thunderous boom, the whole sky trembled.
At the edge of the explosion, the Four Elements solidified and reformed to construct an absolute defense, withstanding the force of the blast while minimizing its destructive power, creating an opening to redirect the golden shockwave skyward.
Having the power to suppress William on an equal footing with her skill, let alone the fact that her strength already exceeded William’s.
Their last encounter had ended without William having been able to best Saina, and this time...
A dazzling arrow light shot into the Elemental Sea; seizing the moment before it had calmed, it thrust straight for Saina’s face, but she, cool and collected, raised her sword to shatter the slowly moving light arrow.
Suddenly, Wayne’s figure leaped to replace the light arrow’s trajectory, with the Moonlight Longsword in hand, sweeping a slash toward Saina’s slender, white neck.
Galver’s use of the White Night Purity Words was rudimentary; Saina, with limited intelligence, had never seen such techniques, and coupled with her victory-bred Pride, erred in underestimating her opponent before the battle had even started. In her hasty dodge, her neck was marked with a line of blood.
It was just a fraction away from completing the escape maneuver "head-off action."
At that moment, time slowed down. Saina’s eyes widened deliberately, her pupils dilating as the howling Sea of Elements converged around her, intent on imprisoning Wayne within a cage.
The elements, reshaped and ordered by Saina’s thought and the Elemental Mantra, transformed into lifelike dragon heads with gaping maws, from which a myriad of different energy breaths slowly exhaled.
Wayne, in midair, let his peripheral vision, Yu Guang, take mental note of the numerous evolutionary paths of the Giant Dragons.
His body spun, tossing the Moonlight Longsword towards Saina’s widening eyes while nocking an arrow on the bow; in the moment the Sea of Elements closed shut, his thoughts guided his escape.
He conveniently took William with him as they left.
Time returned to its normal pace, and facing the oncoming Moonlight Longsword, Saina closed her eyes. Delicate dragon scales appeared on her cheeks, and with her formidable defensive power, she forcefully shattered the Moonlight Longsword.
The first attempt over, Saina touched her slightly stinging cheek, her eyes morphing into vertical dragon pupils as she went all-out to complete her transformation into a Giant Dragon.
The Giant Dragon, over three hundred meters in length, finalized the transformation with white Life Armor covering every part of its body—the Green Dragon’s wings, claws, and the Elemental Mantra above its head becoming white, towering spikes. Elemental colors danced along the cracks of the Armor, crafting a Giant Dragon of Magic into a vision of a futuristic, metallic sci-fi world.
