Chapter 989: Chapter 358: I Have a Speedrun Guide for the Dungeon_4

As he turned his head, the fist enlarged in front of his eyes.

With a bang, Austin spiraled upwards into the sky, spinning and falling into the distance. When he landed, he skidded, breaking several trees.

Megan hurried out and picked Austin up.

"Why did you hit me?"

Austin, clutching his nose, returned with displeasure and looked at Wayne, "This isn’t the Outer World; I have no relation to you here. You have no right to interfere."

"Austin, you’re too selfish. All you think about is yourself, ignoring the people around you."

Wayne glared at Austin, thought for a long while, but still decided to stop him from committing suicide, "Have you ever thought about whether Aunt Mei would kill herself too if you died? Sophia... Oh, she probably wouldn’t."

Sophia: (눈_눈)

She wouldn’t, but that doesn’t stop her from being in the story.

Austin, with a cold face, turned back to Wayne, "You are a young lord of the Lando Family. Megan should serve you as the butler; you have the right to order her around."

"Who just said this isn’t the Outer World? Who just said I have no relation to him whatsoever? Why am I suddenly the young lord of the Lando Family?"

Wayne sneered, his disdain deepening. He hated two kinds of people the most: hypocrites and those who didn’t let him be hypocritical. Austin was certainly one of them.

Seeing that Austin was left speechless, Megan turned to her with a sad expression, "Aunt Mei, tell Austin, do I have the right to order you around?"

"No."

"..."

Wayne: (눈_눈)

The answer is correct, but could you hesitate a bit? That was too blunt.

"Austin, I won’t refuse if you want to die. I’m not going to lie; I’ve wanted to be the head of the family for a long time. But you can’t just die now. Have you tasted the pain of losing a loved one and still want Megan to go through that again?"

Wayne stated coldly, "Think it over. Your death will be a double loss. Megan has followed you for sixteen years. Don’t you care about her life at all?"

Austin’s eyes reddened, and upon hearing this, he frowned deeply. He always saw Megan as family, and Wayne’s words were too ambiguous.

"You can’t die; others need you just like you needed a mentor. This pain is hard to bear; I don’t need to elaborate more." Wayne struggled to persuade him a bit more before falling silent.

One shouldn’t preach kindness without having tasted another’s suffering. As an absolute outsider who was also a flawed man, he had no right to preach to Austin, stopping him from committing suicide was purely out of sympathy for Megan.

All that needed to be said had been said. If Austin insisted on his path, all he could do was manage the aftermath for both.

Of course, this was the Inverted World; things were a bit different. If it were the Outer World, it wouldn’t be so easy for Austin to die.

The Lando Family must remain intact, not one less!

Thinking of this, it made him miss home a bit.

He casually took out a camera and snapped a photo of Austin and Megan together.

The positioning felt average; he asked Megan to move closer, preferably more intimately. He intended to develop it in the Outer World for Slyphy to see.

Upon hearing this, intense jealousy made Megan act boldly. She hugged one of Austin’s arms tightly, effectively immobilizing him.

After a sequence of flashes, Wayne, satisfied, finally stopped, feeling assured.

The evidence was irrefutable. Outer World’s Austin would have a hard time disputing it!

Austin only retracted his arm after the photo session was over, jealous of Outer World’s Austin due to the negative perceptions.

"Well then, Your Majesty, would you please step over here too?"

"Yes, yes, exactly like that. You truly have a presence fit for a queen..."

"Aunt Mei, don’t be mad. I’ll take a few more shots for you."

"By the way, could I trouble you two to write a few words for me? What’s with those looks? I don’t plan to take these notes back to the Outer World!"

After a farce had played out, Anastasia approached Austin and pleaded, "Knight Lord, now that your great enemy has been avenged, are you willing to seek justice for the comrades of the Dark Church?"

"I have already abandoned the identity of the Dark Knight; he is now the Dark Knight. You should seek him out." Austin looked at Wayne, his expression unchanged as if he had abandoned thoughts of suicide.

Anastasia exclaimed in surprise, "But he’s the Moonlight Knight..."

Halfway through her sentence, a dark light flickered behind her. She stiffly turned around to see Wayne wielding Twilight Deadlock with great vigor.

Beside him was William, always there to applaud.

Seeing Anastasia looking over, Wayne weighed the heavy sword in his hands and raised an eyebrow, "What, Anastasia, you want it?"

"..."

"If you want it, just say so. How would I know if you don’t say?"

"I... want it."

"Speaking so softly yet you claim you want it. But never mind, who else will help you if not me, especially after what we’ve been through in the Outer World." Wayne focused his gaze on Anastasia’s doll-like body, then glanced at William.

"Come, let’s go to Route 114. I have a shortcut for a dungeon guide..."

Wayne spoke confidently, silently adding in his head, if the dungeon was still there, he could make the lives of the two from the Inverted World a bit happier.

With limited capabilities, this was all he could help with.
