Chapter 979: Chapter 356: The Captured Queen After Defeat (Thanks to ’Vileed’ for the alliance leader’s reward)_2

Juno listed a series of advantages of Queen Sophia, and as she spoke, she began to crave her own.

The Death Knight Wayne had no such desires; he maintained a knight’s abstinence all year round, and his heart was tranquil, free of worldly desires.

No matter how excellent Sophia was, in his eyes, she was just a skeleton wrapped in skin.

Even less than a skeleton, because at least skeletons don’t defecate.

Death Knight Wayne regarded all women with the same attitude. Juno and Alisa were no exceptions, just two walking skeletons, utterly uninteresting.

The former Death Knight Wayne did have desires; he was secretly in love with his undercover colleague Lily Hayworth. After acquiring Shadowmare, to prove his loyalty to Death, he killed his beloved, leaving him without a weakness.

First to slay the beloved, unsheathing the sword to cut all worldly ties;

Then to kill the one by the pillow; without love, one becomes divine.

On one hand, it was to express loyalty to Death; on the other hand, it was to learn from Austin. The reason for the Dark Knight’s rapid increase in strength was because he had killed his loved one.

Therefore, it made sense that Juno felt uncomfortable whenever Death Knight Wayne put his mind to work.

Boom!

In the distance of the Grand Cemetery, the Dark Canopy advanced, like a giant demonic claw, slowly stretching out from the horizon.

The mirror-like dome of the sky was replaced by a dense inkiness, and the distant landscape was replaced by a profound mystery, leaving only a blur and distortion.

Beneath the onslaught of this darkness, the countless dry bones buried in the Grand Cemetery felt uneasy; phosphorescent fires emerged from the soil, blooming with a chilling aura.

"Wayne, the Dark Knight is coming!"

Juno looked at the sudden change with surprise, wondering if the cautious attitude of the Death Knight was indeed justified this day. Could all these abnormalities be part of Austin’s plan to lure the enemy deeper into his trap?

Although something wasn’t quite right, every attack of the Dark Knight was accompanied by a significant commotion, so a great battle this evening seemed inevitable.

Two pillars of Holy Light rose to the sky; Juno and Alisa transformed into Mysterious Angels and flew away from Death Knight Wayne. They couldn’t intervene in the battle between death and darkness, so based on previous combat experiences, they went to find Sophia.

"Alisa, cover me later. Even if it means being severely injured, today we must take down Sophia!" Juno’s eyes were bloodshot, flickering with intense desire.

The Royal Family was completely corrupted by the negative information from the Inverted World.

Of course, it wasn’t ruled out that they were like that before, with their inner darkness and desires amplified by the negative information.

Boom!

An explosion sounded, and the aurora of darkness trailed behind, racing from the distance.

Austin’s eyes were bloodshot as he wielded Twilight Deadlock. His figure teleported through the darkness, and with every blink, his afterimage stretched longer.

By the time he reached the confines of the Grand Cemetery, his speed was alarmingly fast.

Absolute speed transformed into absolute strength. Twilight Deadlock, raised high, seemed to bend in the distorted space, creating an optical illusion of a bent sword blade.

"Wayne!!"

"Austin!"

The moment darkness invaded, Death Knight Wayne had completed his transformation, mounted the Undead Warhorse, and, wielding Shadowmare, charged through the portal to gain speed.

One black and one white, the two slightly curved Knight Longswords clashed in the air; the Death Aura erased darkness, while darkness devoured the Death Aura. The fierce energy emitted a dazzling brilliance that instantly shattered everything around like thin paper.

In the center of the battle, energies intertwined and crushed, and the space around the curved lines fluctuated chaotically, making the figures of the two combatants appear twisted and distorted.

The terrifying energy was forcefully compressed into a narrow space; after tearing through the limits, a gray and black haze, one after the other, engulfed the sky in a deluge.

Darkness lurked beneath, while Death Aura surged and tumbled above.

The two colors painted the sky, with thunder and electric arcs zigzagging in the energy collision zone – the Four Elements flickered in and out of view, and space issued a squeaking and chirping sound. The oppressive tension, as vast as the sea, weighed heavily on everyone’s hearts.

This place was perilous, without the power of a God’s Chosen Knight or someone of equivalent strength; anyone who strayed here was doomed.

Juno and Alisa kept their distance; Juno caught sight of a calm white light approaching from afar. She exchanged a glance with Alisa, and with perfect understanding, the two flanked and pounced from left and right.

"Sophia, today we’ll definitely make you..."

Juno stopped her vicious words halfway, her lust-contorted face momentarily frozen. The approaching figure was not only Sophia, but also a man and a woman in black robes she had never seen.

Allies of the Dark Knight, perhaps?

What she thought was a two-on-one encirclement turned into a two-on-three counter-encirclement.

Juno was slightly surprised, but it wasn’t long before desire drove her, and lust overpowered her cautious and suspicious thoughts, her reddened eyes fixated on Sophia.

The Queen was dressed very lightly in a red evening gown with slits up to her waist. Untransformed, a pair of wings unfurled behind her, a breath of wind revealing all beneath.

Sophia had clearly dressed up tonight, her long hair pinned up to reveal a slender white neck and seductive red lips. The form-fitting evening gown hugged the voluptuous figure of the mature woman, revealing ample cleavage at the front and tautly rounded curves at the back.

That was the extent of her allure.

Combine that with the long legs wrapped in gartered stockings, her seductive power was at full throttle. What Noble could resist such temptation?

Perhaps Lord Wayne could, given his collection of luxury cars.

But Juno couldn’t. Her breathing quickened, completely captivated.

There were no stockings in the Inverted World. The only reason Queen Sophia could be wearing them was thanks to Wayne’s sources. He said he would go straight to the Grand Cemetery for a killing spree, but before he left, he inquired about the forces of the Death Knight.
