Chapter 962: Chapter 352: Lundan of the Inverted World

White Bone Throne, with Wayne grasping the White Night Purity Words, the light of Moonlight flowed along his arm to his entire body, sculpting an armor streamlined to his figure.

The surface of the armor was as smooth as a mirror, and in between its joints, silver and white patterns interwove with moon phase motifs, reflecting light like a stream under the moon. The terrifying energy was tranquil and contained, both mystical and noble.

Wayne had worn all five Godchosen Artifacts, and the characteristic of the Moonlight Armor was its lightness and agility, with a buff that enhanced speed, complementing the White Night Purity Words like adding wings to a tiger.

"It’s not a projection of the Outer World, they aren’t the same artifact..."

Wayne caressed the White Night Purity Words while murmuring to himself. Others might not recognize it, but The Book of Greed saw very clearly. The White Night Purity Words from both worlds might look identical, but the information within varied greatly, with limited similarity.

Recalling Dreyne venturing into the Inverted World on missions, he speculated that the Inverted World was the Moonlight Goddess’s laboratory, or even if it wasn’t, the Moonlight Goddess was certainly one of the shareholders.

The Inverted World was forged by the goddesses of the Life Alliance, and due to the strong negative influence, adjustments were made to the Godchosen Artifacts.

"That’s not right, either. If the deities themselves took action, the artifacts should be immune to negative influence, ensuring that the God-chosen Knights remain unaffected. Only with clear rationality can knights better fulfill the Goddess’s tasks..."

Galver was affected by negative influence, his mental defenses ridden with holes, his existence full of severe shortcomings. With just a few words, Wayne sealed his fate—a display unbecoming of a God-chosen Knight.

If it were the doings of a goddess, it could only mean that the goddess did so deliberately, intentionally allowing the Inverted World’s Godchosen Artifacts to have flaws.

What was the purpose?

Were the God-chosen Knights of the Inverted World just a dumping ground, the crazier they became, the more rational the God-chosen Knights of the Outer World were?

Wayne touched his chin, considering this as one of the possibilities. After all, the Outer World was the fundamental bedrock of the goddesses’ followers, and the God-chosen Knights had a heavy responsibility, absolutely no room for error.

"That’s not right either, the goddesses aren’t that benevolent, there must be other purposes!"

Wayne touched his chest, the director of teaching had a nasty character, and the other goddesses probably weren’t any nicer, not necessarily meaning deep implications between Inverted and Outer Worlds.

Of course, there was also another possibility.

Galver was truly incompetent; even with the White Night Purity Words, he couldn’t unleash its full potential, a stain amongst the Moonlight Knights.

Come to think of it, this possibility was quite substantial. In the Outer World, Galver was merely the Great Sage of the Moonlight Church, the true God-chosen Knight was Dreyne.

Because the Inverted World could not cast Dreyne’s shadow, the White Night Purity Words chose the spare tire, Galver.

"If this theory holds, then the most talented ones in the Inverted World are Austin and Wayne, in the Outer World they would be God’s Chosen..."

Speaking of this, Wayne couldn’t help but wonder, just what was Saina?

The Pope of the Naturalism Church, wielding the Elemental Mantra, consecutively emerged victorious in battles, blowing up several churches, with the Sun Knight defeated and missing, and the Moonlight Knight actively seeking peace—a performance not expected of a spare tire.

"Spare tires can be strong or weak too, she’s truly excellent, having broken the Dragon Blood Curse on her own."

While Wayne indulged in brain-racking deductions, the elite of the Moonlight Church converged from all directions. Having not heard anything for a long while, they speculated that the great battle had concluded and were coming to pledge their loyalty to the New Pope.

Whoever wins is the Pope!

The headquarters of the Moonlight Church wasn’t in Paris, but ever since this group moved in, they adopted the spirit of Paris’s Pure White Banner—that banner with three uses.

Such is the power of culture!

The crowd looking at the unfamiliar face seated upon the White Bone Throne knew that Galver had become a thing of the past, and the New Pope had rectified the chaos, arriving in his loyal Paris.

Looking at the Moonlight Armor and White Night Purity Words, they all felt envy and jealousy—handing over divine artifacts seemed effortless, as if they weren’t fussy at all, giving them the impression that they too could easily step up.

If only they’d known it was this easy, they should have joined forces to overthrow Galver; now, an outsider had benefitted.

It wasn’t too late now!

How about we set up an ambush tonight?

Give it a try and meet our end, better not.

Exchanging glances, no one knew who was the first to kneel down, weeping bitterly while crying out to Knight Lord above, condemning Galver’s wicked rule, and declaring their willingness to exert themselves to the utmost for the new ruler.

"Since the Knight Lord has come, peace has returned to the Moonlight Church, with the Knight Lord here, a clear sky is assured."

"Galver, that sinner, was powerful, but since Knight Lord has eliminated him, surely your strength far exceeds his. My admiration for you, Lord, flows endlessly like the mighty river, and like the flooding Seine, unstoppable."

These weren’t their exact words, but to Wayne, this was the gist of it.

A bunch of insectoids!

Wayne looked down disdainfully, sensing fear and greed in their red eyes, and gently shook his head.

Better to nip any unrest in the bud; it was best to take care of these troublemakers sooner rather than later.

Boom—

Foam surged beneath the White Bone Throne; a pallid tidal wave suddenly rose, with roaring white billows pressing down, clearing the scattered bones and heading straight for the Moonlight Followers.

At the same time, a strange noise dispersed, dull and feeble, devoid of any sweeping force, as if an ill person were moaning softly.

When the followers saw the frothy tide rushing towards them, its crest like a high wall with absolutely no holding back, they were frightened into drastic color changes, all lashing out in retaliation.

Some of them cursed as they called for unity.

They had the advantage in numbers, and if they charged together, the Moonlight Knight might not be able to kill them all!
