Chapter 953: Chapter 349 Are You My Master?_4
What the hell, we came together because a devil played matchmaker?
Wayne’s eyes widened, his mind screamed incredulous, but then again, it seemed to make perfect sense.
Hexuno was the Archangel, holding quite the status in Heaven; if the devils could revel in her fall from grace, no price would be too high.
Seal the Archangel, hand her over to a pervert for "training," then sit back and enjoy the show.
Wayne stroked his chin and thought, aside from the bias against him, it all added up. He asked, "Do you know who the devil is? Is the guy still in Lundan?"
"Not sure, all I know is that there’s a Hell Curse inside me..."
Hexuno didn’t spill the whole truth, and said gravely, "We can’t be sure where the Hell Gate will open, it could be in Lundan. Paris will be handled by the other Reincarnated Angels. I’ll stay in Lundan just in case."
Wayne nodded and pressed on, "What’s with the curse inside you? Why has Mona never mentioned it? Do you want me to check it out for you?"
Hexuno shook her head slightly, her emotions unchanged by Wayne’s concern. She knew well that it was Mona he cared about, not her.
No need for checks. It would surely go astray.
Even if it didn’t stray, it wouldn’t be the first time Wayne had examined this body, and even she couldn’t find the source of the curse, so there was no point in futile efforts.
Hexuno gazed blankly at the world before her. According to the current fusion trend, she might very well disappear and exist only as Mona from then on.
A chill of desolation swept over her, the first time she felt a profound fear of death.
Subconsciously, Hexuno called out to the Heavenly Father, hoping He would guide her out of her confusion. Was death her fate, or was it Mona’s rebirth?
The Archangel soon dispelled these distractions. The significance of life lies not in eternity, but in greatness; its length matters not as much as its breadth.
If death was her fate, preventing the opening of the Hell Gate would be her final mission before fading.
Sensing Hexuno’s strong belief, Mona couldn’t bear it for a moment, stopped assimilating memories, and agreed to share the body with Hexuno.
Just as Hexuno was about to praise Mona’s kindness, the latter added, "Two uses for one car, Wayne will like that too."
Hexuno: (ಠ_ಠ)
Whether she would die was uncertain, but Mona surely wouldn’t be reborn, only sinking deeper into the abyss of corruption.
Wayne stood with his eyes closed nearby, silent for a long while, looking for the exit to the Projection Space.
The space was a chaotic mess, all trails leading towards a black fissure below, seemingly the only way out.
That didn’t look too safe!
Scratching his head, Wayne noted this puzzle wasn’t for him to solve. Patting his butt, he said, "Let’s go, get out of here. Remember, you promised me that thing tonight."
Hexuno’s face remained expressionless, surveying the chaotic space, her gaze landing below, "Boss, do you want to go first or should I?"
That sounded just like Hexuno; Mona would only protect me.
Rolling his eyes, Wayne asked, "Are you sure that down there is the path back to the God-chosen Continent? You’re not fooling me, are you?"
"I wouldn’t stoop that low."
Fair enough.
Wayne nodded, and just as Hexuno was about to plunge on winged descent, he grabbed her shoulder, "Queue up behind me, I’ll go first."
With that, he flapped his six black wings and dove into the black fissure under Hexuno’s disdainful gaze.
Hexuno followed suit, and as she burst through the fissure, the landscape shifted before her eyes, returning to the outskirts of Lundan in the God-chosen Continent.
Before she could rejoice, Hexuno’s face changed dramatically. She looked around, but Wayne was nowhere to be seen.
"Damn, he fell into the Inverted World!"

Below the bleak ruins of a forsaken city, a low chant echoed in the sewers, sounding like a prayer, or some summoning ritual.
A figure in a Black Robe knelt, palms joined at the chest, in front of a vast and intricate Alchemy Array.
Black mist swirled upwards, and a six-winged black devil slowly emerged, the atmosphere turning dark and eerie...
Wayne glanced at the Magic Array beneath his feet, then at the few low-grade Magic Stones by the edge of the circle, clueless as he looked at the Mage in a Black Robe kneeling before him.
Such a strong sense of déjà vu!
"So, what, you’re my master?"
