Chapter 948: Chapter 348: Weakness and Ignorance Are Not Obstacles to Survival, Pride Is_3

Hexuno thought himself lucky; if the Hell Angel hadn’t descended, he wouldn’t have been able to convince Mona and he would have faced endless days of cruel torture.

Although now it’s the same, the sentence has been shortened, which is a blessing amidst misfortune.

The Archangel’s mood slightly improved and decided to scatter Milne’s remains to the winds, allowing him to retain a whole corpse.

Sword light crisscrossed the battlefield!

Hexuno rallied and his power gradually rose, once again engaging Milne in fierce combat. The colliding energies whipped up violent hurricanes, easily causing massive waves, repeatedly bursting the space and inviting black streams to wreak havoc across the field.

Wayne stood unbudging amidst the tempest, not seeing the ’Death Knight’ and wondering if he had already perished.

It didn’t matter much if the ’Death Knight’ was gone, but without him showing up to help, the Projection Space, rich with energy, would likely remain for a very long time.

Moreover, why was this projection’s barrier so durable? Had he improved the Magic Array, or had he invested a massive amount of Magic Stones? Could Milne have stolen the entire savings of the Magical Department Headquarters and looted the stones from the Queen’s Crown?

That shouldn’t be right; the stones had been dumped into the Lando Family’s trash bin and the leftovers shouldn’t be this powerful!

Wayne was full of doubts. He needed to suppress the Dark Goddess within him and couldn’t give his all, trusting in Hexuno’s strength. The latter had reached a cooperation with Mona, with six wings joining forces against the enemy, thinking there wouldn’t need to lift a finger himself...

Boom!!!

The dark tide exploded with fury, with the Seven Deadly Sins Melody and holy words intersecting, their brutal aura filled with destructive might spreading unstoppably towards the distance.

In the next second, the twisted darkness like a black hole incessantly devoured the surrounding light, opening a blinding halo at its fringe.

The black light halted, then suddenly burst. The rampant energy ignited a wave of destruction, shattering space, crushing matter, and fragmenting everything within a thousand miles into their primal energy states.

The Four Elements ran amok; four-colored waves, driven by the Fire Element, surged into Wayne’s body.

Wayne raised his hand to block the oncoming storm, and effortlessly captured the white figure that was hurtled towards him with a rounded sweep of his arm.

"What’s the deal? Aren’t you the Archangel? Can’t you take down a single traitor?"

Hexuno, collapsing into Wayne’s arms, felt deeply ashamed and explained, "The Hell Angel possesses the powers of both Heaven and Hell; my strength has yet to awaken and I can only suppress one of them..."

The Hell Angel’s form was exceedingly peculiar, wielding the Golden Rule and the Seven Deadly Sins as if they were extensions of his limbs, with no signs of incompatibility. Hexuno was facing such an enemy for the first time, suspecting it to be the grand work of the Lord of Envy.

Only the Demon King of Hell could have achieved this.

Hexuno, in her prime, wouldn’t have been flustered, but now she was quite overwhelmed, saying, "I can use the Golden Rule to suppress his Seven Deadly Sins, but to destroy him completely, I need the Seven Deadly Sins powerful enough to suppress his Golden Rule."

A bit convoluted, but Wayne understood: the Golden Rule and the Seven Deadly Sins, powerful allies stitched together, made the Hell Angel incredibly strong; Hexuno needed his help.

Wayne gave a look that said, Archangel, you wouldn’t want to see the Hell Angel strut around victoriously, would you?

Hexuno’s eyelid twitched, she turned her head slightly and gave a slight nod, acquiescing to his extremely shameless blackmail.

Hexuno obviously hadn’t thought it through; even if she hadn’t agreed, Wayne had always been one to utterly annihilate devils—it was just that in her mind, Wayne was always the sort of despicable man who took advantage of the situation.

To annihilate the Hell Angel, the Archangel accepted the price, comforting herself inwardly, being bitten by a dog once is still a bite, ten times also a bite, just endure it and it’ll pass.

"Cackle cackle cackle cackle————"

Wayne activated the Incomplete Philosopher’s Stone in his chest, Hell’s dark energy coursed through his body, his hands and feet elongating into pale claws, attaching half of a face armor engulfed by the wind of Hell, and spreading three pairs of black wings behind him.

Not having the capability of six wings, he did it on purpose, to form a pair of black and white with Hexuno, like a couple’s outfit.

This wasn’t Wayne’s strongest form; the ultimate fusion of the Pale Knight and the Pale Nest was, but he currently couldn’t summon the Pale Nest, transforming into the Devil Form helped him save the mental effort of suppressing the Dark Goddess, and efficiently wield the Seven Deadly Sins Melody, forming a dual angel-devil combination with Hexuno.

It wasn’t that the Pale Knight wasn’t powerful, but the Devil Form had a better cost-effectiveness!

Hexuno cast a disdainful look at Wayne, unconsciously gripping the Oath Sword in her hand tighter—this guy playing a devil was quite convincing, hardly distinguishable from the real deal.

"What’s with the disdain? Keep glaring and I’ll take care of you with this form tonight."

Wayne dropped the words that made Hexuno’s face change color, waved his hand to summon a Black Greatsword, a trophy gleaned from beside Smedley’s corpse, and with the six wings at his back, turned swiftly to confront Milne.

Ding!

Milne’s weapons were slender scimitars, one black and one white, complementing the wings behind him, each controlling the Seven Deadly Sins and Golden Rule, forged as a matching set by the Lord of Envy.

Milne blocked the Greatsword with his black scimitar, clashing the Seven Deadly Sins, both the Laws of information vanishing without a trace like clay oxen into the sea.

He didn’t quite understand what Wayne really was, now a human, at times a Void Lifeform, and now playing a devil to the hilt.

Amused that the Archangel played so wildly, either not playing at all or playing most extravagantly.

Milne watched Wayne with interest, sensing the formidable power approaching, the white scimitar bound with the Golden Rule Ribbons, transforming into chains aimed at Wayne.
