Chapter 934: Chapter 344 Goddess, do you want to hear what you are saying_2
No matter if there were tears or not, the acting was awful, but the script was truly explosive.
Every shudder turned Ivan’s face a shade paler. This was neither what he should see nor hear. His knees went weak, and with a snap, he knelt down.
"Who told you to kneel? She’s your daughter. Show some respect and stand up!"
Wayne glared at Ivan. Some things aren’t significant until they’re weighed; once weighed, they’re unstoppable. This kneeling could cost him his life.
Unmoved, Ivan watched as Wayne waved his hand, summoning a gust of wind that pinned the Pope against the wall by the window like a noodle.
"Why, you won’t let me handle the Pope, yet you handle him..."
Idinis’s face showed a betrayed desolation as she somberly said, "You promised me. You are you, I am I. We agreed not to meddle with the Dark Church because of our relationship. And now, you even dare to command the Pope."
"Yes, yes, yes. Today I dare command the Pope, and tomorrow I might dare to revolt in the Dark Divine Kingdom." Wayne glared at Idenis. "Tell me, how much will it cost to save this man?"
Idinis slightly smiled, pretending not to understand, and continued quibbling, "The Church doesn’t matter to the gods, and neither does your meddling with the Pope. I only care about your attitude just now. You were harsh to me."
"I dare not. I just saw an opportunity to make a deal."
"What deal?"
"I give him a hand, he pays with his life."
"So that’s it. You’re planning to hike up the price, knowing he can’t afford it, and pressuring him to sell his daughter to you." Idenis had a sudden realization.
Are we done yet? Is this game that interesting?
Wayne had never seen such a vile person, frowning as he said, "Tell me, what do you really want?"
"Hand over my thoughts."
"That’s impossible!"
"Then I’ll have him killed and let Anastasia do it with her own hands."
"Go ahead."
"..."
Wayne was blunt and the negotiations broke down. Idenis, knowing it was unlikely, was still left speechless by his decisiveness, reminding, "He’s still Anastasia’s father!"
"He’s also the Pope of the Dark Church!"
"I don’t care."
"Neither do I."
"..."
The two stared each other down, words at an end. Wayne dispensed with any pretense of decency, his hand brushing over the black-draped, long leg, gripping and squeezing hard.
Idenis felt uncomfortable; in her plan, Anastasia was supposed to take the lead, not herself.
With more urgent matters at hand, Idenis stopped haggling and laid out her final offer: "Where is Sarosia, has she undergone Evolution, I want to see how she looks now."
She flourished, not pulling any sisters along, even hired a sturdy man to scout the prison, truly sisterly love!
The Sky Goddess might be flawed, arrogant, unable to let go of her past, indecisive leading to inaction, languishing in confinement turning gradually listless, but compared to others, she was truly innocent.
Wayne preferred these not-so-smart Goddesses; Idenis lowered the moral standards of the Dark Church.
"Sarosia is still in her own home, she hasn’t undergone Evolution."
"Oh, you didn’t force her?" Idenis was surprised.
"You say that as if I’ve forced anyone."
Wayne scoffed, his business ethics were pure, never substituting inferior quality, never coercing sales.
"So, Sarosia refused?"
"Not exactly, her pride is too great, needs taming, given time she’ll figure it out."
"I knew I wasn’t wrong about you."
Idenis was satisfied with the answer, a Void Lifeform daring enough to corrupt her wouldn’t let go of a helpless Sarosia.
Even if Sarosia was destitute, her identity as a Goddess would be tempting for any Void Lifeform.
"Anastasia has already given you the gift, the contents of the box are crucial, study them well, grow quickly, they will be greatly needed in the future."
Idenis said slowly, adding, "Let me know when Sarosia undergoes Evolution, it’s been years, I’d like to catch up with her."
Having said this, Idenis moved to leave.
Wayne slapped her on the buttock, breaking the rhythm of her departure, and demanded, "The Pope, he won’t die accidentally in the future, will he?"
Idenis, prouder than Sarosia, turned cold at the slap, glancing at Ivan on the wall, "He’s smart, he knows how to survive."
Saying this, her thoughts departed, handing back control to Anastasia.
If she didn’t leave now, her dress would be pilling.
After the Dark Goddess left, Anastasia abruptly opened her eyes, looking at the belief so close, her face instantly paled.
Ivan hadn’t left, seeing what he shouldn’t have!
Damn it, why can’t you just stay out of the way?
Anastasia wished she could slap Ivan right then, sending him back to Ross Federation, but it was too late for regrets now, hoping only that Ivan would keep his mouth shut.
Great opportunity to quit drinking, to keep from talking nonsense when drunk.
Wayne’s fingertips roamed, the skin under the dress was plump and smooth, the silky touch excellent, knowing it was wrong but unable to stop.
Anastasia, recovering from the shock, aware of the mischief on her buttocks, said nothing, nor did she stand up, but instead wrapped her arms around Wayne’s neck and sat in his lap, bowing her head pretending nothing had happened.
