Chapter 893: Chapter 334 Archangel

Boom!

Wayne kicked open the cathedral doors, Mona followed half a step behind him, and on the square in front of the backdrop of the cathedral, members of the Guardian Knights lay sprawled on the ground.

The Saint Patrick Cathedral in Dublin and the St. Paul Cathedral in Lundan were nominally of the same rank, but due to the love-hate relationship between Windsor and the Holy See, Saint Patrick Cathedral, in terms of power and heritage, firmly outshone St. Paul Cathedral.

Archbishop Hodgson of the Saint Patrick Cathedral was a Legendary Mage with an established corps of Guardian Knights; whereas St. Paul Cathedral’s Gunther was a Golden Mage, and his Guardian Knights had been forced to disband, reorganized into a Tactical Squad.

In a real fight, the Tactical Squad of St. Paul Cathedral was no match for the Holy Light Knights of St. George’s Church, not to mention comparing it to Saint Patrick Cathedral.

Once the Heavenly Father’s Court consolidated the faith power of the entire Windsor Federation, Archbishop Hodgson’s position would take a step further.

Wayne, looking at the kind-faced little old man ahead, preempted, "Envoys from the Papal State have arrived, you’re in trouble now!"

"Young man, the envoys of the Papal State carry the Pope’s own handwriting and the cardinal documents of the Papal State—this is the proper procedure. Do you have these things?" Hodgson chuckled like a kindly grandfather, his voice full of affectionate authority.

With his composure firmly in hand, in comparison to him, Wayne was the disrespectful troublemaker, looking down on others with a slight bit of strength in his back.

"In extraordinary times, we take extraordinary measures. As an envoy of the Papal State, during crucial times I prioritize speed and efficiency, with no need to adhere to lengthy administrative processes."

Wayne adamantly claimed he was from the Papal State; as a Reincarnated Angel, claiming to be a Papal Envoy would even make the Pope himself feel wronged.

Too conservative, he definitely could be bolder.

"Young man, I don’t know where you got your rules from, but as a representative of the Holy See, I happen to have some business with you."

Hodgson dropped his pleasant demeanor, speaking sternly, "A large number of evil sects pretending to follow Heavenly Father’s faith have suddenly appeared within the Republic of Ireland. According to my investigation, the mastermind behind the scenes claims to be an envoy from the Papal State, deceiving local churches to open wide the gates for these evil sects. Am I wrong?"

As Hodgson spoke, a large group of clergy rushed over.

The number exceeded fifty, both men and women, either Knights from the Guardian Knights, or elites from administrative units, several old men with white beards, their aura ambiguous and fluctuating.

Hearing what the Archbishop said, they all drew their weapons, encircling the front and back and firmly blocking the cathedral’s door.

"Heretics who defile the faith, you will pay a bloody price for your actions."

"Blasphemer!"

"Capture these two Black Sorcerers and burn them alive!"

"..."xN

The clergy were engulfed in righteous anger; within a few words, Wayne and Mona had acquired the villainous labels of heretics, blasphemers, and Black Sorcerers.

The Holy See always had a knack for assigning blame.

Mona watched the scene unfold with an expressionless face, her gaze calm. No matter how fierce the words, they couldn’t cause a ripple in her heart at this moment.

Ever since she had confirmed the presence of the Devil, she had entered combat mode.

Wayne was no different. He had become a Reincarnated Angel; could he tolerate such an insult?

Absolutely not!

His eyes swept over all the clergy present, memorizing each of their faces. Who uttered any foul language, who cursed a few times at the Child of the Beach—he remembered it all, crystal clear.

Tonight, he’d count everyone, they all would burst with Gold Coins.

Wayne’s gaze was too provocative, clearly the eye of a devil from the evil camp, which infuriated the clergy, who had never before seen such an arrogant heretic.

Just as they were about to insult him again, a woman in a white robe with golden short hair walked over slowly from the side.

The woman had an indifferent expression and an even colder demeanor; her golden eyes were devoid of any sentiment, like a machine, alarmingly calm.

Wherever she went, the clergy closed their mouths and respectfully cleared a path.

Wayne looked over, the woman might have had an average face, but her chest was flat as a runway, indicative of a wealthy woman with the means to have built a private airport.

Too pricey for the likes of him.

Wayne took one look and averted his gaze, slapping his hands on his behind, "Mona, it’s all yours."

Mona was in combat mode and, in front of so many people, getting her behind slapped brought a strong sense of humiliation that made her body freeze.

Mixing shame with a hint of forbidden pleasure, she found the situation both difficult to handle and somewhat irresistible.

Utterly embarrassing.

The angel that descended to the Mortal World, the flat-chested woman, arrived beside Hodgson and caught this scene, a look of disgust and disdain flashing in her eyes.

"Lord Angel, these two Black Sorcerers, posing as envoys of the Papal State, have supported a large number of sects masquerading as followers of Heavenly Father’s faith, and they barged into the cathedral and injured..."

Hodgson reprimanded Wayne for numerous crimes, inciting the crowd to condemn in unison, then lowered his voice, "That woman seems to be an Angel descended to the Mortal World, controlled by the Golden Rule Bible. Be careful around her. I suspect it’s the man with her who has stolen a Golden Rule Bible."

Hodgson’s voice was not loud, just low enough to suggest a discreet handling while ensuring nearby clergy heard every word clearly.

No wonder he was the Archbishop, while others were only fit to be underlings.

"I understand."

The Angel gave a faint nod, her pure wings spreading from her back, hands grasping the Holy Spear as she slowly rose into the air.

As Mona was about to take action, Wayne stepped forward and spoke up, "Angel, the Archbishop beside you is in cahoots with the Evil God and the Devil, trampling on the Heavenly Father’s faith, a puppet of the Devil on earth. Are you really going to betray your faith and fight for evil?"
