Chapter 744: Chapter 295 Angel Evolution, Declaration of War

The clinical trial had been underway for five days, with Wayne and Saina in charge of the research, and Celeste subject to being studied; everyone had a bright future ahead.

Thanks to the rational division of labor and the combination of men and women, the efficiency was extremely high.

Celeste hopped back and forth between Heaven and Hell, dedicating themselves to science and showing Wayne a clear path; their body proved that once evolution had begun, it could not be stopped.

But as the deity granting evolution and the possessor of faith, Wayne could choose not to accept faith.

Originally, it was not possible for Wayne to do these things, but after passing through the Pale Nest and becoming the Pale Knight, he went further with The Book of Greed. Now he had much more room for manipulation.

With Saina’s help, Wayne found a solution.

The secondary contamination originally planned was proven to be inadvisable, whether it was the froth on the Pale Nest or the flesh and blood on Saina, both had a strong desire for faith.

It belonged to Wayne; if he left it alone, they would evolve on their own.

Thus, Wayne could only choose to grant evolution himself and based on the experimental data from Anastasia’s body, first contaminate, then rectify, which could change the body but must not interfere with the mind.

While altering the body, he gave up extracting faith to seal it, then used the Pale Nest as a substitute for faith.

Simply put, evolution is irreversible. The Pale Nest serves as a statue of Wayne, his way of expression in the human world, to accept and manipulate faith.

As the foundation of faith, Wayne represented the absolute truth, invisible and ineffable. The Pale Nest, as the embodiment of faith, was an understandable truth, observable and describable.

With this identity as a shield, Wayne had a lot more room to operate.

Whether it was Juno, Hefei, and Veronica, even if their future evolution was irreversible, their faith would always be the visible Pale Nest—an understandable truth, rather than Wayne, the... deity.

"What a pity, if only I had ascended to become a Golden Mage a little earlier."

Wayne looked at Saina with regret. If he had found the solution earlier, she wouldn’t have become what she was now.

That said, if Saina hadn’t transformed this way, she wouldn’t have assisted Wayne wholeheartedly, and this line of thought for solving the problem wouldn’t exist today.

Saina shrugged her shoulders with a vexed expression, speaking in a pitiable manner, hoping that faith wouldn’t just focus on feeling guilty. What’s the use of just apologizing? Put something substantial forward.

You can’t just bow and consider the matter closed after making a mistake!

Hilarious, to really think mistakes don’t demand accountability?

Saina, pretending to be innocent but quite the opposite, was not ordinary seductive material. Wayne had no choice with her, nor did he want to continue to impose constraints that would make her lose what little self she had, so he just let her be.

Since there was no turning back, let it be!

The laboratory.

Juno lay on the cold lab bench, covered with a white cloth, eagerly watching the chief surgeon, Wayne, sign her name readily to the document handed to her.

Juno Jones/Elizabeth Windsor.

Two names, two identities, both willing to bear all the consequences of evolution, very meticulous.

Before Wayne proceeded, he warned again, ensuring Juno was fine, then raised his hand to touch her forehead. His mind summoned the Pale Nest into the room.

Wayne’s palm melted, and the froth merged into Juno’s orifices, granting her evolution and contamination, changing her form of life.

At the same time, through the Pale Nest, he directed thought into Juno’s body and kept whispering non-stop, reminding her to remember her human form and to boldly envision the path of her future evolution.

Juno’s goal was to become an Angel; her path of evolution was self-evident, it could only be that of an Angel.

In order to help her achieve this goal, Wayne bestowed upon her the power of the Golden Rule Holy Words during the evolution process. This information came from the Golden Rule Bible and the altar of the Lord Pride, especially the latter, which is of an exceptionally high rank.

It was Wayne’s way of repaying Juno for her kindness.

Since she made that call, Wayne would certainly repay the favor.

Juno’s body slowly floated up, the white sheet gliding off, revealing her slender and graceful figure.

Wayne had no mind to admire; he closed his eyes to sense the changes within Juno, fearful that something might go awry in the process.

The process was not entirely without danger, but rather it was a false alarm. Juno’s longing for the formidable Angelic power was so great, her ambition so large that the Golden Rule Holy Words within Wayne’s control couldn’t satisfy her.

Wayne had to use the Pale Nest to make amendments, compelling her to confront herself and abandon any thoughts of instantly rising to become one of the primal Angels.

That’s just too bizarre; there’s not even ten of those in the entirety of Heaven.

Corrected by this stream of thought, Juno quickly found the direction for her evolution. Her body slowly swelled with froth, limbs became swollen, and her trunk turned pale, completely lacking the beauty of a normal human.

She resembled a corpse, her internal bacteria gone wild due to an immune system out of control, and filled with copious amounts of decay gas, her true appearance difficult to discern.

Then the Golden Rule Holy Words began to correct!

The Holy Light within Juno, combined with the evolution granted by Wayne, evolved according to her desire with the addition of the Golden Rule Holy Words.

This process was akin to Wayne granting Otilia and Regina the power of Hell, enabling their transformation into Succubi.

However, both Juno’s Angelic evolution and Otilia and Regina’s Hellish evolution circumvented the original faith. If nothing goes wrong that’s fine, but if something does, surely the original owner will come calling for copyright fees.

Heaven’s side is easier to deal with; Wayne could just transform for a moment, arguably masquerade as some lower-ranked High Order Angel and bluff his way through.
