Chapter 731: Chapter 291: The Essence of Life, Pale Knight_4

Anastasia watched the scene in horror, a craving born from the depths of her soul. Though she knew it was wrong, envy still took root in her heart.

"If Saina can have it, so can I."

"No, I want to get even more than Saina has!"

"Keep rational, I’ve been doing some research recently..."

"Hold on, and you will be free."

Wayne’s voice arose within Anastasia’s heart, words of consolation that only led Anastasia to wail endlessly, losing herself from the inside out.

Wayne felt helpless, fighting fiercely against the tentacles before him.

He tried his best but the current situation lacked persuasiveness; the more he spoke, the deeper the misunderstandings he caused.

No matter.

Put it aside for now, time will prove everything, and Anastasia will understand him.

BOOM BOOM BOOM!!

Death Essence spread through the sky like an invisible plague, suffocatingly heavy as it silently corroded everything, the gray tide mercilessly devouring everything around, the tentacle jungle that filled the sky was pushed back into the Spatial Fissure.

Withering, an expanse of dead silence.

Countless tentacles lost their vitality, their ashes falling like feathers of a goose in a great snow.

The Great Eyeball on the chest of the Giant Dragon whispered softly, erasing the voice of Torgoguryr, disrupting all the surrounding information, and preventing the tentacles from healing, splitting, and reproducing.

Guided by this voice, a black fissure violently widened, hundreds of eyeballs burst into light, looking down haughtily at the madman disturbing their praise of the Ancient God.

Nothing but pale whiteness met the eye.

"ROAR ROAR ROARRRR————"

Torgoguryr roared furiously, its ancient, deep voice questioning Wayne. Which Ancient God did he serve? Why did he descend upon this land, and why did he obstruct its arrival?

Wayne barely understood and raised the mismatched Shadowmare, responding with a powerful Death Essence.

He had marked this land, this was his world, and he forbade Torgoguryr’s entry.

The brief exchange between the two monsters ended there. Torgoguryr roared with all its might; the sky was shrouded in dark clouds, invisible forces tearing the clouds apart, and hundreds of eyeballs spreading an unfathomable terror and madness.

The rage far surpassed the hatred for the three God-chosen Knights.

Nothing else mattered; Wayne had denied its faith and spoken indisputable truths about life.

In the darkness’s end, a gigantic and twisted face appeared, covered with deep green scales, each radiating a cold, eerie breath, tentacles like facial hair covering the entire face, only gaps revealing angry eyeballs.

Countless tentacles danced chaotically, each massively thick, hanging down from above, like tornadoes a thousand meters high ravaging the land.

In the center of the tentacles, or perhaps at the center of Torgoguryr’s face, was a deep-sea vortex-like mouth, spiraling inward, deeply embedded in the skull.

That mouth writhed as it protruded outward, layers unfolding like petals, and the mucus-coated fangs transformed into a dark green tentacle, spiked and sinister.

Not too bad, not as uncanny as I expected!

Wayne had looked in the mirror quite a bit recently, and his SAN Value had improved; the sight didn’t elicit a shocked exclamation.

After a comparison, although he was more reasonable, Torgoguryr was louder, like a suona joining a chat room, nobody bothered anymore, just let the ruffian play by himself.

Wayne was well prepared for this, extending his hand to the Pale Nest beside him. This was his thought amplifier, virtually equivalent to a massive loudspeaker.

Tentacles emerged from the Pale Nest, entwining around Wayne’s palm. In the instant thought amplification occurred, the Great Eyeball in the center of The Book of Greed started to spin wildly.

Under its influence, the surrounding small eyeballs also began to rotate.

"This feeling..."

"The true essence of life!"

Wayne paused, the ineffable sensation indescribable. Following his heart, he relinquished the Shadowmare.

Around the Great Eyeball, the sun, moonlight, darkness, and death – five small eyeballs gazed towards the center, simultaneously pouring in the Information Laws.

Wayne’s pale body underwent another transformation, with its viscous, proliferating skin drying and hardening into an armor-like solid layer of keratin.

The Armor spread from the Great Eyeball at its center, with black veins crawling on the surface, sealing off the low whispers that constantly radiated outward, concentrating the external pressure while bringing even more intense oppression.

To gaze upon this body was to slowly comprehend everything.

"Finally, I don’t have to serve as someone else’s Knight..."

Wayne lifted his fingers, his arm transforming into a blade: "The solid Golden Triangle, the Pale Nest..."

"The Pale Knight!"
