Chapter 725: Chapter 290: Change of Household Tactics!_2
The Death Knight possessed an exclusive mount, the Undead Warhorse, a divine reward from the Goddess of Death that came with its own spatial portal. Apart from him, the other four God-chosen Knights did not have their exclusive mounts.
They would have to find their own.
As an archer, Dreyne excelled in speed and agility. With stable long-range output and devastating power, she was the most outstanding mobile artillery among the five God-chosen.
To maintain her advantage and magnify her strengths, she raised a Drake for herself.
The White Shadow Dragon, true to its name, flew at astonishing speeds and was the perfect mount for Dreyne.
Mula and Leo did not have mounts; the former preferred to keep in touch with the ground, while the latter’s combat style did not require a mount. He went everywhere on foot.
"I’ll lead, Mula, you cover our rear, and Dreyne, clear the small fry on both sides for me."
Leo, holding the Golden War Spear, turned into a point of light and charged straight for the Spatial Fissure. En route, he encountered several layers of Spatial Barriers, which the point of light split and recombined to easily pass through.
After reassembling his body, Leo heard a cacophony of whispers ringing in his ears, but he paid them no mind as his eyes emitted a golden glow, and a massive fireball burst into flames behind him.
The intense flame twisted space, evaporated the chaotic spatial currents, and pointed out the direction forward.
Hiss!
In the depths of the dark Projection Space, the impenetrable darkness was like a Spatial Fissure itself torn open, revealing countless bloodshot red eyes.
Over a hundred demonic eyes were scattered across the darkness at the end of the space.
Whether it was their irritation upon awakening or having been confined for too long, the pupils were fierce and terrifying, bringing both light and destruction, focusing on the three God-chosen Knights and radiating an incredibly violent bloodlust.
"Torgoguryr..."
Leo’s expression tightened. The owner of these eyes was Torgoguryr, but he remembered clearly that Torgoguryr’s head had been chopped off and moved elsewhere for sealing.
Now, Torgoguryr had grown a new head.
Whoosh!
The twang of a bowstring pierced through space, and hundreds of white rays shot forth.
The arrows of light, like bolts of lightning, carried unstoppable momentum, tearing through the blocking Spatial Barriers and the endless darkness, leaving behind a trail of dazzling white paths. They pierced through all the demonic eyes at the same time, accurately targeting the core and scattering the incessant whispers.
"Roar, roar, roar————"
Black mist churned, demonic eyes trembled violently, spurting out dark, sticky liquid while deafening roars echoed throughout the entire Projection Space.
Hundreds of demonic eyes shut, and darkness returned to calm.
In the silent stillness, Torgoguryr’s blood spontaneously divided and reproduced, giving birth to its creations.
Similar in appearance to the monsters they encountered in the Golden City, but larger in size, more vital and with stronger telekinesis. These monsters seemed to have the ability to divide infinitely. Within just a few breaths, their number skyrocketed from hundreds to a terrifying multitude reaching from heaven to earth.
Leo’s lips curled into a ferocious smile as he raised the Golden Holy Spear and threw the small sun behind him.
The orb of light hit the ground, contracted intensely, and after stabilizing for three seconds...
It expanded infinitely!
Boom!!!
A blinding yellow light burst forth in an instant, as if the sun itself had descended to earth, turning the whole world scorching hot in an instant.
Then, a deafening blast spread far and wide, like countless thunders exploding at the same time, shaking the space itself. The visible shockwave tore through the air, mercilessly swallowing everything around.
Under this apocalyptic force, the monsters’ telekinetic shields collapsed like paper, given no chance to even cry out before they were instantaneously evaporated by the blast.
With the light orb’s expansion and disappearance, a massive spherical void formed, consuming space. The surroundings were filled with lightning, thunder, and the howling of the wind, yet they could not fill the void.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
At the end of the darkness, mountainous tentacles unfurled, and several spiral-shelled Tentacle Monsters emerged from the darkness.
"I’ll take the lead."
Leo, carrying the Golden War Spear, strode forward, rolling a small light orb in his hand, and threw it out with a flick of his wrist.
Behind the trio, the fissure in the Projection Space trembled slightly, seemingly impacted by the recent explosion, and suddenly began to close...
————
Boom!
At the center of the Icebound Continent, the Black Mountain Range trembled.
It was as if a behemoth was rolling underground, releasing endless energy that rippled outwards, causing the northern lights above The Sealed Land to tremble.
"What a loud noise, what are they doing there, that’s the second time..."
"Got it, a second blast!"
Wayne peered towards the Death Swamp, trying to see something from the edge of the fissure, but apart from the sudden brightness of the sunlight, he saw nothing.
"Don’t worry, the power of the three Knight Lords is very strong," Anastasia said proactively.
Indeed, with the Sun, the Moon, and the Star God-chosen guarding the Icebound Continent, it might seem as though they were only defending and were completely at a disadvantage, but in reality, they had the ability to counterattack.
Because of the sealing, the initiative had always been in the hands of the God-chosen Knights, who could advance or retreat at will and were in a favourable position. However, due to concerns about leaving their rear unguarded, they had not launched an attack.
The arrival of the Dark Knight was very timely. Even if his abilities weren’t enough, he held irreplaceable strategic significance.
Together with Wayne, the thrice God-chosen, and Anastasia, who possessed three types of Divine Power, they had more than enough to hold the rear and resist the shockwaves.
With this secured, there wasn’t a trace of fear!
"I didn’t think much of it before, but now that you mention it, I’m suddenly very anxious," Wayne remarked sarcastically, hoping it wasn’t a flag.
As he spoke, the Death Essence covering the sealed land trembled fiercely, and the murmuring whispers became increasingly clear.
