Chapter 719: Chapter 288 Golden Triangle: Fate, Emptiness, Self_4

Of course, it’s me! x3

"Wayne, it’s time for sword practice again, and today’s session is quite heavy. Are you mentally prepared?"

"Mr. Mula, the lesson can wait, I have something more important to do."

Wayne stated his purpose and then said, "The risk is too great. I hope to advance to a Golden Mage during this critical period. I know my power is insufficient, but every bit stronger I become, the more possible victory is. I really hope to be able to help everyone."

As you should, only by becoming stronger can you survive!

Mr. Mula had no reason to refuse and stepped forward to check Wayne’s body, briefly organizing his thoughts before nodding in praise, "You are too excellent, I have never seen such a stable Silver Crucifix."

Indeed stable, other people’s Silver Crucifixes are only a +, but Wayne’s Crucifix, thinking it not stable enough, had four frames specially welded on.

It felt exhilarating to weld them on, as it seemed to stabilize everything. But taking them off was extremely difficult, almost to the point of wanting to delete the account and start over.

"Mr. Mula, can you manage it?"

"Leave it to me."

Wayne sat down cross-legged, with Mula standing behind him. The white Life Armor shone brightly as Mula cheerfully said, "Wayne, I’m very pleased you came to me. Remember to always consider yourself as my successor and stay away from Leo and Dreyne."

It’s getting intense!

Both Leo and Dreyne had said similar things.

Wayne nodded, "Mr. Mula, no matter the outcome, I will be your successor."

Overjoyed, Mula protected Wayne with a surging Life Force, then poured a strong Life Energy into Wayne’s body, striking the stable Silver Crucifix fiercely while trying to minimize the pain as much as possible.

Boom!

The roaring sound filled Wayne’s ears, his thoughts spinning as if the world turned upside down, the strong blow making him dizzy.

He steadied his mind and found that his Silver Crucifix was as steady as an old dog, showing no signs of change from the forceful impact...

Not true that there was no change at all; it had deformed slightly and was a bit crooked.

Just as he was thinking this, it corrected itself.

Mula’s face showed embarrassment. As a God-chosen Knight, he had thought that one blow would do the trick, but he had underestimated Wayne’s talent.

"That was just a test. This time it’s for real. Brace yourself, it’s probably going to hurt a lot."

"No problem, if you don’t shed tears in peacetime, you’ll bleed in war."

"Well said!"

Mula nodded approvingly, restructured his thinking around Life Energy, surging it into Wayne’s body. He summarized the lessons from his previous failure and devised a new strategy.

The white light split into eight, separately severing the four frames and the two crossing lines of the Silver Crucifix.

Boom!!!

The Silver Crucifix crumbled into pieces, and Wayne’s vision was momentarily blurred. At Mula’s harsh shout, he snapped to attention and quickly disassembled ’God,’ as instructed by Hefei and Saina, scattering it into space, self.

’God’ is the guide for the Silver Stage, it’s a faith, and it’s intimately connected with life, space, self.

From Hexagram to Crucifix Star, ’God’ is formed by the condensation of space and self. When advancing from Crucifix Star to Triangle Star, ’God’ is scattered back into space and self. Strictly speaking, the Silver Stage is a preparatory phase for Gold; all efforts are aimed at solidifying the Golden Triangle.

Wayne’s Silver Crucifix was exceptionally stable, so stable that it quickly returned to balance. Once Mula withdrew, the Silver Crucifix returned to normal, as steady as an old dog, unmoved by thunder.

Mula marveled at the sight, realizing there was always something new to learn, no matter one’s age. Wayne was not so pleased, as the disassembled ’God’ was difficult to integrate back into space, self. He had to ask Mula for assistance to further pulverize ’God.’

It’s best to break it down into fine granules for easier absorption.

This was no problem for Mula who accomplished it with ease.

Three hours later, Mula finished with a strange expression and said to the exhausted-looking Wayne, "Your Silver Crucifix is too sturdy. It’s very normal for the first attempt at breaking through to fail. Don’t be disheartened. A good beginning is certain to have a good ending."

Wayne nodded. Indeed, it was a good start. With the balance inside him broken, he could independently dismantle the Silver Crucifix. Had it not been for the astonishing amount and the prolonged time of absorption, three hours would have been enough for his success.

"Go back and rest well, no sword practice today."

Mula instructed twice, watching Wayne’s departing figure, then frowned and waved his hand in mid-air.

Two white screens opened up, revealing the faces of Leo and Dreyne.

"Mula, what’s the matter? Have the seals changed?"

"The seals haven’t changed, but I think there should be some changes."

"What do you mean?"

"Wayne just came to me for help with his advancement to the Golden Mage, with the aid of my strength..."

"What, he didn’t come to me?"x2

"Uh, that’s not important."

Mula persuaded the two not to get angry, chuckling as he explained, "After all, Wayne knew me first, and it’s quite normal for him to think of me for such an important matter as advancing."

"..."x2

Leo looked displeased, while Dreyne went straight into cursing.

"Now’s not the time to talk about this. Wayne’s advancement to Golden Mage is inevitable; he’s even prepared to sacrifice himself, which makes me feel ashamed. Since I became a Knight of the Goddess, I’ve never allowed a child to go before me."

Mula’s expression turned stern, "What’s the situation with the Dark Knight? Can he hold his own seal?"

"Neither better nor worse."

"That’s enough."

"That’s good to hear!"

Mula nodded and said to the two, "I plan to have Wayne guard the seal of the Death Knight, while we three rush over and sever all of Torgoguryr’s tentacles."

Merely defending was not a way out of the predicament. The three were not from Frank’s lands and had limited experience in defense. With all conditions now ripe, it was time to sound the horn for a counterattack.

"Mula, I have no problem, but can Wayne and the Dark Knight manage?"

Leo pondered cautiously. He too wished to counterattack, but no one could afford the cost of failure. They couldn’t, in a moment of fervor for Wayne’s sake, overlook the risks the entire God-chosen Continent was about to take on.

"The Dark Knight can manage just defense, but can Wayne?" Dreyne asked.

"Wayne alone definitely can’t manage, but it’s different with Anastasia. She holds our strength within her body, and Wayne can control her."

"..."x2

It might be possible, but what about Anastasia?

"Mula, Anastasia is going to die; the chances of her survival are slim to none."

"I’ve asked her, and this is her wish. She can’t carry on anymore."

"What a pity, she should not have died here..."
